Chapter 22: The Interruption

"But if I do that, the energy will be huge." Gwen commented since she was not sure if she could do something like what Slavica did there.

"Image. You have to have a clear picture in your mind of how it was big or small it could be but the power still remains. Then, the rest of the after-effects will follow since you have to clear your mind on doing that." She made it clear to Gwen who was thinking deeply about it.

"I see…" Gwen nodded as she began raising her index finger she try to picture how huge or small the energy was willing to use.

Surprisingly, there was a spark over Gwen's index finger and an orb showed up which was not that small or big either. Gwen was not satisfied with how small it was and decided to make it tinier than what she released. Slavica was just watching what Gwen was trying to do and she found herself shocked when the orb went into small size till it vanished.

"What are you thinking?" Slavica was trying to figure out what Gwen was thinking when the orb suddenly vanished over the tip of her index finger.

As Gwen was stratified with her desired size, she began thinking about what kind of effects she wanted to see before making a throwing gesture toward a tree in front of her. When she did that, the tree was hit but there was no mark left over its trunk yet something happened to that particular tree. Leaves began to fall, small twigs began to snap and each branch was being cut into different portion while the entire remaining part of the tree has been split into five and fell on the ground.

"Oh my…I think that's advanced training for a newbie…but you're indeed an advance newbie." Slavica was totally fascinated by what Gwen can do in a short period of time.

"Well, I've got a great mentor for it." Gwen winked at the praise of her mentor, Slavica.

"Then I will make it, even more, advance to the point you're going to whine over it." Slavica chuckled as she challenged Gwen's ability. She really wanted to see more of what she could do in a very short period of time of being with them.

"Can't wait then." Gwen chuckled as well as she began stretching her entire body. She was warming up and getting ready for whatever Slavica might surprisingly shoot at her out of the blue.

But somewhere in Gwen's mind, there was a part of her recall of being an outcast among her peers when she was very young. She suddenly recalled her younger years when she never felt so close to anyone since she was born differently or grew up differently from the other kids her own age at the orphanage.

"Care to share what's on your beautiful mind?" Slavica took notice of the sudden silence wrapping around Gwen all of the sudden.

"Oh, I just recall the moment when I felt outcast and different among the kids when I was little at the orphanage." Gwen answered with a half smile as she kept recalling those moments in her younger years.

"Care to tell me about them." Slavica wanted to hear her memories of Gwen's younger self.

"Well, looking back then, I'm so full of confidence that made the others feel like they were talking to an adult full of wisdom. Some of the adults around me were fascinated and laughing about how honest and curious kid I was back then while the others didn't." Gwen hummed a little before speaking about what she felt about who she was back then.

"So you accelerated more than the others because of that?" she curiously asked which made Gwen to chuckled.

"You sounded like a curious cat and to answer you, yes, I don't easily play with the other kids and just read books, draw, or chat with some adults that I'm comfortable hanging out with." Gwen chuckled and went on to answer Slavica's question.

"No wonder why you can be untouchable whenever you're serious." She nodded in understanding and Gwen looked at her.

"Am I like that?" she wondered and Slavica nodded while smiling.

"Well, that side reminded me about myself that's why we don't mind at all." Slavica informed while giving a genuine smile at her.

"Thanks for understanding then." Gwen smiled in return before looking far once again up to the night sky.

"Count on us - me to get through the changes that were happening to you. I'll be here so just don't give in, 'cause you can do it." Slavica suddenly patted her shoulder which made Gwen look back at her and smile.

Even though Gwen was a full-grown lady, still no one could dare to match up with her – apart from Slavica. She was the only one who dared to get to know and be close to Gwen even without paying too much on her private life or showing that she really cares. Slavica really does care for her and she's showing them in her own way that's what Gwen saw in how sincere she was to her. Especially, whenever she felt Slavica stares deeply into her orbs. She really could feel the care even through her encouraging words. Slavica was the only one who could make her feel at ease, totally secure, and protected.

"Just don't give in 'cause you can…" Gwen mumbled as she recalled those encouraging words that she directly heard from Slavica a while ago.

Gwen really felt warm to those encouraging words which she heard from nobody like the way she heard them from Slavica. She might already hear them before but not sincerely as she could feel Slavica's voice. It was making her believe in herself again even more.

"Vica, if you only knew on how much those words from you really mean to me…" Gwen thought to herself that her heart suddenly made a skip as if somebody or a certain someone was calling her heart to listen very carefully.

Then Gwen suddenly stretched her arms wide to wrap them around Slavica's waist and let her head rest over her chest. Slavica was surprised and looking confused about what suddenly happened to Gwen for her to embrace her like that. But Gwen just let herself listen to the beating of Slavica's heart when something came along.

Gwen recalled the bridge part from the song Count On Me by Whitney Houston and CeCe Winans which made her heartbeat begin to sync together with Slavica's. Hearing that made Gwen orbs cry once again. Slavica took notice of the sudden wetness that was falling from her chest which made her take a deep breath before pulling away from Gwen's hold.

"Gwen, tell me what it is?" Slavica might be careful when she asked but there was also worry along with her tone which Gwen smiled at. She really loves those caring voices from her. She really feels them in her and really meant it.

"Nothing much to be worried about. It was just that my heartbeat made skip as if some energy from someone telling me to feel them very dearly rather than to search for it." Gwen honestly answered as she doesn't want to see those worried looks on her face.

"And how did you react to it?" she wondered as she tried to read Gwen's energy flows it was very serene and it was moving around them like a sun.

"I just listen and my heart kept on reacting. The only words I could say for it were 'I Am Here. Always. I Miss You'." She answered Slavica directly and she saw something flicker in ger orbs, hope but it quickly masked by being neutral.

"Don't worry whoever was it, could definitely wait patiently for you." Slavica smiled at her as she masked some jealousy in her heart and just be genuine around Gwen.

"I bet you do." Gwen said as she got up from her weak side which confused her a little.

"What?" she wondered if she really catches that right. She just wanted to make sure that she heard Gwen right.

"You heard me. Now, let's go back to our training. I want to kick your ass again." Gwen just winked over at Slavica who had just taken a little back but still smiled at how fast Gwen could recover from wavering emotions.

"Who told you that you kicked my ass earlier?" Slavica sort of playfully felt challenged by what she heard from Gwen.

"No one." Gwen turned her heels and quickly gave Slavica a surprised blow that she didn't anticipate coming straight to her abdomen.

Slavica almost losses her balance when the sudden impact of Gwen's punch over her abdomen. But she suddenly felt really fired up from that surprise attack from her.

"That's nasty." Slavica commented as she charged directly at Gwen. But Gwen chuckled and run away as fast as lightning speed. Slavica smirked and tailed her with the same speed.

With their flashing speed, both of them were really hard to be seen yet the echo around the wood really made the trees, bushes and even the birds fly away from their nest as everything began to sway. They were giving each other a very powerful exchange blow after blow that caused those vibrations really intense. It was even radiating around that alarmed their teammates at the cabin.

"What the heck was going on here?" Irina quickly run off to the cabin's backyard and Yui was already there, pointed the extreme exchange of blows that Slavica and Gwen were giving toward each other.

"Can we join them now? It will help Gwen grow faster and even more." Yui was biting a few of her fingernails just to stay in her control from jumping to them.

"Well, I don't think there's any harm but Yui, I will instruct you." Irina released a sigh before informing Yui about something.

"Roger." Yui agreed as long she could manage to join them.

As for the two, Gwen and Slavica were totally being fierce toward each other, something made them alert something. Slavica quickly grabbed Gwen's wrist before carrying her into her arms like a bride. As soon as she did that, she quickly turned her heels and run toward the oak tree just to make two or three steps up before doing a backflip while carrying Gwen into her arms. When Slavica did that, Gwen used what she learned from her training earlier and threw something in the mid-air toward the tree's direction. Then Slavica used her earthly control and made them land smoothly back on the ground.

"Somebody wants to play with us." Slavica commented while playing with her devilish grin that sent a shiver down Gwen's spine. Gwen shivered more at what tone she was using when she said that.

"But honey, not yet." Gwen put her hand over Slavica's chest which made her wonder what Gwen was planning.

"Why?" she curiously asked Gwen who just smiled at her before looking in the same direction where they had just done a backflip.

"Blood." Gwen snapped her fingers and just like fireworks, there were a lot of strings floating around the woods and it was indeed dripping wet with blood. Gwen was releasing a faint glow which only visible around Slavica. It was very warm and dangerous it was wronged.

"Woah…just wow." Slavica just couldn't find the right word to say about what Gwen just did.

Slavica was totally amazed at how Gwen managed to pull out her power without having a hard time controlling them. It was very fascinating since Gwen's bloody power followed her instruction smoothly and Slavica never encountered any newbie like her before. Gwen was a more fast learner than Irina. Gifted and born to be one of them.

"Honey, can you put me down now?" Gwen requested Slavica who was obligated as she put her down as requested.

"Now, let's dance." Gwen smiled at Slvaica as she mouthed thank you to her before focusing on the bloody strings around the woods.

Gwen began by raising her hands just around the level of her shoulders before making a motion as if she was playing an instrument. With one press, everything around in the woods felt the sudden gravity that came from Gwen's bloody strings. With another press, it began on releasing different quiet noises so that only its target will be hit by those taunting noises.

"Impressive." Slavica muttered because she could feel the pressure but not hear the sound that Gwen was creating.

In just a few more seconds, a scream began to echo around the woods then a heavy and taunting melody began on striking throughout the woods. It was finally echoing and making the bloody strings move as if she was the one who was stepping on it. Another second passed, and Yui came out somewhere behind a tree and waved a white scarf as a sign of surrender.

"Make it stop. It irritates my ears." Yui pleaded as she was covering her ears Gwen stopped but something began to flick and snapped a bloody string.

Gwen did not intend to snap the strings which made her suddenly collapse onto her knees and she was glaring as she looked still on the earthly ground. Slavica went closer to her side and assisted her.

"Nobody could interrupt me unless I intend to." Gwen madly mumbled as a very powerful blood flame began to radiate around the string as it tried to locate who snapped her strings.
