Gwen even released a couple of breaths from quick and deep to slow ones and when she finally calmed, there's an image began to click in her mind. Doing that, she opened her eyes and made a hand gesture as if she was throwing something over the targets that were laid before her eyes. She quickly moved as she threw something and with each threw gesture she made, some were cut in half while the others stayed intact.
"How about that?" Gwen wondered if she managed to get it right on the first try.
"Let me see." Slavica said as she went to each target that seems like it hasn't been touching but it does. Slavica was indeed grinning at how fast she learns things on her own. But when she was about to put them down, she noticed something was still radiating around them.
"So it's a dagger chain." Slavica was smirking when she saw what Gwen just threw at each target before she went back to where Gwen fidgeting waiting for what she going to tell her.
"For a starter, you pass." She praised Gwen who made a happy dance.
"YES!" Gwen was totally ecstatic when she praised her.
"Just for the note, don't leave your tracks on your target, or even to the place where you hunted your prey. They might trace and get back at you." She left a note to remember to Gwen if she was going to use them in the near future.
"Noted." Gwen was grinning like a child who won an award but she suddenly halted when something began to echo around her ears. Gwen began to get dizzy and Slavica felt them all of the sudden.
Gwen was suddenly taken to some place where she saw herself being held tight by somebody and there was a person in front of her who was bleeding to death. She might know was it but it was blurred.
"GWEN!" Slavica's voice was indeed faded in the background. Gwen couldn't hear her.
All Gwen could see and feel was rage over killing whoever was holding her captive instantly. As the rage kept radiating around her, she, out of the blue appeared in front of the monster. And with her glowing hand, she stabbed from its side where the rib café was being broken due to the thing that she was holding. It was glowing brighter like a sun star. Gwen kept it for a moment just to pierce it deeply on the monster's side before she pulled it up to reach where the heart of the monster was located. The monster looked at Gwen as if she was a monster itself because of the fear she managed to inflict on that monster's mind. The monster was cut in half which made the blood splatter like a fountain and made her covered with it. Gwen was supposed to be grossed out but she wasn't. She was just there standing still lost in some place where Slavica was trying to get back in the reality; in her arms.
"Gwen, where are you?" Slavica asked worriedly as she cupped Gwen's face where she took notice the glowing bloody amber orbs that she was having.
Slavica didn't waste any more time and just pulled Gwen's face closer to her just to kiss her lips. She was not just kissing her to bring her back to her sense again but she surely sent the emotion that she was feeling right now as she hoped that it will reach Gwen. Gwen might be losing in some sudden daydream but she could feel the warmness coming from the lips that she's been dying to have some taste. Gwen returned the kiss from someone that she's been dying to kiss. Slavica sensed the returned kiss and quickly pulled away just to check if Gwen was really back to her.
"Are you back? Are you with me now, Gwen?" Slavica worriedly asked which made Gwen stare really deeply at her. There was silence as if she was not yet back until Slavica felt Gwen's hand around her nape and pulled her closer for another kiss against her lips.
"I am back. As I am always running back to you, Vica. You're my home now." Gwen finally spoke from the bottom of her heart as she leaned her forehead after she kissed Slavica back.
"Don't make me worry, please." She teared up before she kissed Gwen's lips more. She was savoring the moment that she could have with her. She really doesn't want to lose Gwen acutally, both of them feel the same way toward each other. Yet, none of them still admit who they really are to each other. They were just letting the flow shown to them about the feelings erupting around their hearts.
As the two lips began to part, Slavica left a lingering kiss on Gwen's forehead before staring deeply into the orbs of Gwen. She was searching and looking deeply at what suddenly that Gwen just saw when she suddenly couldn't reach her.
"Can you tell me what you see?" Slavica carefully asked Gwen as she cupped her face with both of her hands.
"Vica…I…" Gwen stuttered as fear became visible on her face which Slavica didn't like to see.
"Don't worry, I am here and I am not going anywhere. Just tell me so we could face it together." She reassured Gwen as both of them stared at each other's trustful gazes.
"It was a monster and it was hurting you in front of me. You're bleeding to death then the next thing I knew my hand suddenly glowed like a bright star sun and stabbed the monster. It didn't die easily but when I kept the bright star sun pierced on its side even more till it reached where its heart lies. I killed the monster…but…" Gwen really sounded frightened as she tell her what she saw in the sudden glimpse of something she couldn't tell if it was a past event, present or even future one.
"But?" Slavica really wanted to know since she really like to help Gwen in any possible way that she could.
"It looked at me as if I am the monster and I didn't care. I don't feel any remorse when I killed it. I feel like a monster as it looked at me that way." Gwen's tears began to fall down from her eyes which made Slavica feel really hurt just by seeing that scared tears from her.
"Oh, honey." She pulled Gwen's head to kiss a reassuring kiss over her forehead.
"Vica, it frightens me of what I could do." Gwen confessed what frightens her the most; what her real power could do.
"Hush, Gwen, and listen very carefully." She smile genuinely as she reassured her once again as she leaned her forehead against Gwen's.
"Admitting what scares or frightened you or whatever emotions you're feeling in a certain situation; it really takes a lot of courage to admit one. Trust me, I've been there. Plus, if you're a monster what more I am? I'm much older than anyone of you. I'm from medieval, so who's monster between us?" Slavica slightly teased Gwen to lessen the fear that she was feeling but honestly it was true.
Gwen just stared like a pleading kid while thinking about what she just heard from Slavica. But seeing that reaction from her, Slavica wiped those tears away from her face before she showed her a calm and reassuring smile that was totally genuine and came from her heart.
"Gwen, if things get tough on your way, don't hesitate to seek advice or help from the others or even be direct with me. I will help you in every possible way that I could give you. So, don't give up now. You're just getting started and I will be here for you through thick or thin." She encouraged Gwen before she pulled her into her arms and let her hands make some soothing motions to help her relax. Of course, it also leads to another set of humming which helps Gwen to calm down more easily.
But once Gwen heard Slavica's humming a melody, she was surprised at how it could easily calm her down really fast. As Slavica finally sensed that Gwen was already settling down, she pulled away to check on her and Gwen grumpily glared at her.
"What?" Slavica wondered what made Gwen look at her like that.
"Why you pulled away?" Gwen was still glaring when she asked.
"Well, we're still in the middle of training." Slavica can't help but giggle at how cute Gwen's reaction at the moment.
"Oh!" Gwen recalled.
"Yeah, oh." She teased which made Gwen slap her shoulder playfully.
"Shut up." Gwen rolled her eyes yet her cheeks were flaming. She was a little embarrassed over it but she was more embarrassed about wanting to snuggle more in Slavica's arms.
They went back to practicing what Slavica assigned Gwen to do. Gwen did the same thing that she did earlier but the only difference was that there were no signs or traces being left behind. And the more she shoots her piercing energy repeatedly, Gwen was getting bored with what she has been doing over and over again. She decided to manipulate her energy to make it even thinner like a web. Then she went on shooting another set that Slavica prepared for her and when she shoot them, there was no sign that happened to the cans which made Slavica check it closer.
"What we have here…" Slavica went closer and was about to touch it but she stopped. She could feel the power radiating around the cans.
"What happens to them?" Gwen asked curiously which made Slavica stand back and looked at her seriously.
"What did you do just there?" Slavica asked since there was something in the cans that was preventing her to touch it.
"Hm, I just make it thinner like the web that's all." Gwen answered since she was not sure if it does the trick.
"Are you sure?" she asked more because there was something in there.
"Hmm, aside from its form…I'm thinking of electrocution or something like piercing from within. Like what a stun gun can do." Gwen shrugged her shoulders and looked worried at Slavica since she was not showing anything about what she did.
"Did I do something wrong?" she worriedly asked and Slavica caught it before smiling.
"Oh no…I'm just surprised and lost in words. You are indeed a fast learner and creative. You know what to do with your powers and how you will use them to your advantage. But remember, even you can do it, some creatures out there can do worse." She finally answered Gwen's wonder and it made her sigh in relief.
"I can imagine." Gwen shyly giggled.
"Just be prepared." Slavica reminded her.
"I will." She took note of it then Slavica went on stretching before she went on humming.
Gwen heard it and listened to them carefully as she savor the view of Slavica before her. She was feeling her heart begin on beating hard and she smiled. She knew the melody that Slavica was humming and it was called Count On Me by Whitney Huston and CeCe Winans. She kept smiling as she listened to the calming humming voice of Slavica.
"I know that song." Gwen said and Slavica smiled as she snapped her fingertips to throw the used cans and replaced them with new ones.
"Of course, you know that song." Slavica just said as she went to her side again after putting up another set of cans.
As soon as Slavica came back to her side, Gwen readied herself but Slavica stopped her and showed something to her. Slavica showed her index finger to Gwen and she saw a small glowing energy ball on its tip.
"Watch carefully for what this tiny orb can do to those cans." Gwen nodded to what Slavica told her. She readied herself and waited for Slavica to shoot it to the cans.
With one shot that Slavica did, the first can be blasted and shattered into pieces that made Gwen's jaw drop on the ground. Slavica chuckled and used her index finger to put her jaw back to where it should belong. Gwen blushed over it but didn't say anything. Slavica just turned her attention back to the cans and the second shot might be just one orb but when it landed over the can, it multiply and leave plenty of dots over it.
"Wow…what did you do there?" Gwen asked but Slavica didn't give her any answer and just proceed to the next one.
The third shot was making the can twist before it became crumpled. Then the fourth can, was sliced into three portions and the fifth can was like what Gwen had earlier. But the difference over their attack was Gwen stayed inside while for Slavica, the can was electrocuted before it twisted itself and crumpled then blasting into nothingness. Seeing what happened to the cans, Gwen was totally fascinated and shocked at what just Slavica did there.
"So care to tell me now, how did you do it?" Gwen curiously asked with her excited tone of a kid. She really wanted to try it out already but she need to know how it was possible.
"It was the same as what you've learned the only difference was that I put precise effect or after-effect on my energy shots which you managed to do on the last can earlier." Slavica briefly explained to her while smiling because she likes Gwen's eagerness to learn.
"Ohh, so I can add more after-effects on the shot?" she asked as she went closer to the cans that Slavica just hit and never affect its surrounding. Gwen was totally amazed.
"It will depend on how much power you're willing to expand from a certain percentage and still have a huge impact on the target. Just like what happened to the first can till to the last one. They all have different effects with different percentages of added power on the original one. But the last one was more powerful than the rest." Slavica explained clearly and it made Gwen sigh.
