Gwen did her usual routine inside the bathroom and when she was done, she started drying herself. But when she was contented, she faced the vanity sink mirror to brush and dried her hair fully when something suddenly made her sight turn around.
"The fuck…" Gwen muttered when she halted to her ground since she suddenly got dizzy for some reason. She almost loses her balance and hit herself at the edge of the vanity if her bloody flame didn't come out from her back and help her balanced.
"Thanks…" she thanked her magical power and regained her strength to finish her stuff in the bathroom.
Slowly and carefully, she went out of the bathroom when she started to notice that her sight was slowly getting blurry. She was not sure about what just happened to her but clicked her tongue because it was making her dizzy.
"What just happened?" Gwen might be wondering in annoyance since her sight was turning foggy and blurry.
She groaned as she went carefully to the cabinet to get something to wear since she was still nude when she came out of the bathroom. She didn't care about putting the towel that she used from drying up since she was already dizzy and her sight was not helping either. When she managed to pull out her chosen clothing, something was not right as something hit her head that made her groan in pain.
"Fuck!" Gwen only managed to react when she suddenly fell on the floor unconscious.
As Gwen collapsed on her spot, Slavica, on the other hand suddenly stopped in her tracks as if something made her worried all of the sudden. Her team noticed it and they were about to say something when Slavica suddenly dashed to where her feet were taking her. She just went to a certain room and bragged inside. Her heart drop when she saw Gwen on the floor, unconscious.
"GWEN!" Slavica shouted as she dashed to Gwen's side and pulled her into her arms. She was worried as she gently tapped her cheeks before shaking her body to wake up but there was nothing.
"IRINA!" Slavica shouted in worry that made the others rush to her side.
"Oh my! What happen?" Irina reacted as soon as she entered the room and saw Gwen's unconscious body in Slavica's arms.
"You tell me because I can't see her energy flow at all. Something was blocking me to see her." Irina heard the panicked tone in their leader and it was filled with worries. It was rare for Slavica to show her weakness in front of the others and it softened Irina's expression.
"Let her settle on the bed first." Irina said and Slavica nodded as she quickly carried Gwen into the bed gently.
"Yui, get my dreamcatcher." Irina commanded Yui who didn't say anything and just went to Irina's bag to get them.
"Irina…" Slavica muttered weakly and was full of worries.
"Easy, Vica. don't act like this." Irina sighed as she took the liberty to put on the chosen clothing that Gwen already pulled for herself before she collapsed on her.
"HOW CAN I WHEN I CAN'T READ HER?!" Slavica snapped which twitched something in Irina and glared at her. She never did it before but Slavica was losing herself and she had to do something or else Gwen will be sad when she learned about it.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP, SLAVICA! CONTROL YOUR EMOTION. GWEN DOESN'T NEED YOU TO PANIC LIKE A LOST CHILD LOOKING FOR HER MOTHER. CALM DOWN BECAUSE YOU'RE HER LOVER. HAVE FAITH IN HER AS SHE DOES FOR YOU." Irina shouted back as pointed to Slavica over something that she has to focus on instead of her worries.
"But…" she muttered but didn't finish because Irina cut her off.
"Vica, you love her right?" Irina directly asked making Slavica look at Gwen's unconsciousness before nodding.
"Then be calm as you can because that's what she needed from you now. Believe in her. Believe in your love for each other." She sighed as she patted Slavica's shoulder as soon as she was done putting clothes on Gwen.
Then on cue, Yui came back while carrying a blue-white dream catcher and handed it to Irina.
"Irina, here. What's going on with her?" Yui asked as she handed Irina the dream catcher.
"Not sure but something pulled her into dreamland. It was either good or bad and only she could tell about it." Irina let the dream-catchers tip brush against the entire body of Gwen before putting it on the headboard of the bed.
"Why put a dreamcatcher there?" Tucker wondered since none of them saw Irina use the dream catcher on anyone before. It was their first time seeing her use it.
"Dream-catcher might be a talisman to protect the dreamer from having nightmares or bad dreams but in her case it was different. Gwen has strength in reading her dreams and alters them if she can't handle how heavy they were turning. It will just serve her as guidance since the rest will be her choice." Irina briefly explained why she had to do it.
"And how can you tell?" Yui curiously asked while looking worried at Gwen's sudden status.
"The air around her has been speaking to me about the growth that she was turning into ever since we saved her..." Irina answered what made her said those words.
"...I can't point out exactly what it was but she was promising and maybe that might be the reason why we're assigned to her case. She might bring something to our team particularly to you, Slavica. And the way I could see it, she did something in you that we can't pull out from you." She continued as she glanced over at Gwen and caressed her cheek in sister-like touch before she turned to Slavica. She patted her shoulder.
"Stay with her while she rests. I bet she'll love it when you're the first one she could see when she wakes up from her dream." Irina told Slavica before she ushered the others to leave their room with her. Slavica only nodded and let them leave the room.
When they were already alone in the room, Salvica grabbed Gwen's right hand and hold her hand tight before pulling it closer to her lips. She gently kissed them and without realizing that her tears were already falling from her face.
"I know I never prayed about how thankful I am since all I did was complain but ever since I met her, things began to change in me. I've been wondering if she was the one for me and even asked for signs. You gave me answers and whenever I doubted them, You still pointed out to believe what You have given me. Gwen started to engrave her markings inside my heart without me noticing it. With her, I'm not that guarded. It was like my heart was bare naked around her. I mean, she could speak words that made my heart warm and alive again." Slavica started praying as she poured her heart while holding Gwen's hand dealy into hers.
"I know it was You're doing because if not, I don't think I would feel this deep because I've been praying for this kind of love that could make me move. Meaning, changing myself for the better and feeling it inside of me, I thank you enough for that opportunity and I will grab it. It's Your gift that I would love to take care of." She continued as if she didn't care about the tears that were falling from her eyes. She was just pouring out what she was feeling at the moment as she pray.
"I only ask for something really important to me…let me share this love You have given to me. Let me love Gwen in the way she deserves. Let me protect her with my love like Your love can do. I will change for the better…please…let me share and give this love You put in me that's burning inside of me." She even kissed Gwen's hand with such passion that showing how deeply she was loving Gwen already.
"Please, protect Gwen in her dreamland since I couldn't reach her for now…keep her safe." She finished her prayer before placing a lingering kiss over Gwen's forehead before she went to the bathroom to freshen up herself as well.
As Slavica calmed herself down in the bathroom of the same bedroom, Gwen, on the other hand, travel into some dreamland that she had never been to before. She was in the deepest part of her dream realm where she found herself floating somewhere familiar.
"Why if felt familiar?" Gwen muttered to herself when she sensed something oddly familiar about the place but she knew that she has never seen the place before.
The place was indeed majestic and beautiful. Gwen felt peace at the view that she was seeing until she saw a huge floating island with different creatures flying around. It was giving a vibe of peace and harmony that made her smile.
"What is this place?" she curiously wondered as she looked around while she let herself jump around the fluffy clouds toward the huge floating island.
But when she got there, she noticed something that made her pout like a sulking kid since she didn't know how to go down from the clouds. She was thinking until she almost slapped herself from realizing that she was inside her dreamland.
"How stupid, Gwen." She complained then she closed her eyes as she started controlling the dream that she was facing. She just simply thought of letting her feet touch the grassy mountain from her safe landing.
Feeling that touch against her barefoot, Gwen started giggling like an innocent child and went on walking around as she was in her curious cat mode again. She was being like that whenever something caught her interest and the place was making her feel them until her eyes saw a big stag with tons of horns.
"That's not just a stag." She mumbled to herself when she saw that creature. It just looked back at her when it sensed her presence then went back on its way. She released a relieved sigh when somebody suddenly began to giggle behind her.
"Mother." Gwen already could tell where that giggle belongs and she was right when she faced her biological mother who finally showed her face. It was identical to hers aside from the mole near her right eye.
'Welcome to the only place we could meet personally.'
"I could tell that but where am I?" she curiously asked her almost real figure of her biological mother if only Gwen could see her feet and not float like a ghost.
'It's a dream realm and you better stick with me since I'm the reason you're here.'
"What do you mean about that?" Gwen asked like the curious cat that she could be while they walked around the forest.
'There are tons of portals around here that lead to another dreamland of certain creatures and since you're here to meet me, you're here in this majestic forest.'
"Okay, Wilma told me to meet you and know you since it will help me understand my powers." Gwen went straight to the point and her biological mother chuckled at the directness of her daughter.
'No need to know who I am but I'm Saya the chosen vessel of a tamer shaman priestess.'
"Tamer Shaman Priestess? Chosen Vessel? Elaborate that, Mother." Saya chuckled over the curiosity of her daughter and nodded.
'Tamer Shaman Priestess was just like it was called. Taming, a shaman, and a priestess while choosing Vessel were like what Guinevere did. She resides inside of you until you're awakened. The only difference between what Guinevere did and mine, I'm still the chosen one until another one came.'
"So, I'm a chosen vessel like you?" Gwen asked as soon as she heard them from her mother. But Saya shook her head no.
'It depends on how you will exceed. You might be born as a shaman priestess but it doesn't mean that you'll inherit what I had. But the way I could see around you, you're a bringer of light instead of mine, tamer. But there was a slightness that you can do the same thing as I do but not equal to what I had in me.'
"Complicated." She sighed since it was sounding complicated when her mother briefly explained about being a chosen vessel.
'I know but having glowing white eyes, you got the Polaris power, and the way you handle those creatures, you also got the power of being a tamer.'
"Do I have to choose between them?" she wondered and Saya smiled on her curiosity but she shook her head again and then explained briefly.
'No need, dear, but you need to learn both of them and to which one you will excel, that will depend on you. It will be your path that you're going to choose.'
Gwen listened carefully to what her mother just told her. She was dissecting the information that she was receiving care and Saya smiled over her deep thinking. Then she decided to give some advice that might help her daughter in the process of whatever path she will take.
'Remember, dear, whatever path you're going to choose, it will be your chosen path and it will be your fate. Nobody else could tell you whether it was right or wrong, only you can tell because it was your chosen life. Just don't live in sorrow, pain, regret, or any negative that will bring down and just live according to what you love and making you, yourself, and happy.'
"That's touching, Mother but thank you. I needed that." Gwen smiled as she felt being lifted and the courage started to radiate around her.
'Don't lose faith, hope, and love. You'll see everything will follow.'
"Thanks." Gwen wrapped her arms around her mother and Saya tear up because she never got a chance to hold her until now. She - both of them savor the moment that they were having before they both felt something.
