The glowing orb was not saying anything but Gwen already knew that it has already replied when she started to sense the coming of Slavica and Irina to the backyard door. She ignored that and just focused on the glowing orb before her.
"What can I do for a chief of their tribe?" she went on asking more which made the glowing orb release a chuckling sound.
'I just received a call and it was about the bloodline from the strong priestesses. And I'm right about your arrival in Slavica's life. I know it was not ideal to meet but it has to be done since you're close to falling. I have to pull strings which I'm glad you finally came to choose your own.'
"You already could tell, so why bother coming here?" she wondered upon hearing it.
'You have to talk to your biological mother before coming to the main quarters. Trial must be faced and I shall face it once it was clear. Who knows you might receive a gift from us.'
"I'm not asking for it. Just let me be with Slavica and let us love each other till our last breath. That's all I need." Gwen smiled genuinely as she thought of Slavica and her being officially a couple.
'Loving strong can never be broken as God has been the center of the relationship. No matter what the distance or closeness, it will never fade.'
"Indeed it does." Gwen agreed and as if on cue, Slavica and Irina came out from the door. Irina was holding a tray of Gwen's food while Slavica looked seriously directly at the glowing orb before Gwen.
Irina almost dropped the food if Gwen didn't go to her and held her hands. She looked over to Gwen who nodded and Irina handed the tray to her. As for Slavica, she was just standing there and glaring. The more she glared, the more she found something that made her only to sight.
"What are you doing here, Lady Wilma?" Slavica asked politely but didn't bow at the glowing orb.
'Nothing, I'm just here for Gwen. You have to let her meet her mother soon because she was about to face the DIP's trial at the main quarters.'
"That's…something…" Irina reacted when she heard what the glowing orb just said.
"What do you mean?" Gwen left confused but before Irina could give her an answer, the glowing orb chuckled and speak to her.
'Oh dear, you'll learn about it. Slavica, don't lose her.'
"I'll try since I don't want her to unless she asked me to." Slavica smiled as she honestly informed me what she would do for Gwen.
'Nicely said. Once you're done with meeting your mother, this firefly will come to you and by then, you have to come and face the trial awaiting you.'
"I'll take note of that." Gwen nodded while she was already eating her French breakfast set. She was devouring her food that Slavica found amusing.
Upon Gwen's response, the glowing orb suddenly vanished and the atmosphere around shifted back to the usual as well Gwen's orbs. When it was just the three of them at the backyard patio, Gwen looked at Slavica who had been staring at her.
"Just speak about what's going on in your beautiful mind, Vica." Gwen smiled after she swallowed her munched food in her mouth. Slavica smiled and looked over at Irina.
"Finished the report on what we've just encountered here." Slavica commanded Irina since she wanted to talk with Gwen privately.
"Understood." Irina sensed that and took the command respectfully before heading back inside the cabin.
When the two of them were being left alone on the backyard patio, Slavica took a seat beside Gwen who was still busy eating her portion. But when Gwen noticed the seriousness that was swirling around Slavica, she stopped feeding herself and looked at her.
"So, what is it?" Gwen looked at her with such care that never failed to warm Slavica's heart.
"Your eyes held the sweetest of all. I am ready to look into them endlessly. I will ask God over and over again for one thing…that we may be together forever and ever. What happiness that I found in you. What a wonderful gift from fate and may it last forever and may my love keep you warm." Gwen was suddenly taken aback by what suddenly Slavica confessed to her. She was totally speechless and her tears suddenly decided to fall from her eyes.
"You…you made me cry…should I keep these words that you seem to whisper to me, never let go no matter what' to my heart, Vica?" Gwen wiped her tears away from her face while looking straight at her. Slavica smiled.
"Yes, please because I am doing the same. Also, you put something in my heart that I thought I have lost a long time ago. You are my love, I always think of you whenever something was not right in me and it made me feel better." Slavica assured as she admitted that she was already in love with her. Gwen smiled as she nodded followed by a chuckle.
"But why I've got the feeling that was not the only thing that you wanted to talk about privately?" Gwen sensed something different that was swirling around Slavica when they started talking.
Slavica looked at her for a couple of moments before she sighed and looked over the calming sight of the woods. She was trying to calm down the nerves that she was feeling raising over her chest. She even took some breathing exercises before glancing over at Gwen. Gwen was waiting patiently at her while she was finishing her food. Slavica smiled.
"Gwen, there's something I would like you to hear from me." Slavica seriously started speaking and on cue, Gwen was already finished her meal.
"Go ahead, I'm all ears since I'm done with my heavy meal." Gwen smiled as soon as she finished drinking her juice.
"Have you realized that you already manage to take my heart forever with you? and I'm looking forward to when my soul and body can be reunited with you." Slavica started and Gwen nodded then she proceeded.
"To be honest, I never felt this before. I never felt this with my queen Guinevere. What I feel for you is something different. I only could tell that I'm scared over this love that I'm feeling for you but something kept telling me not to. You're the light in my soul, my harmony. I won't give you up to anyone. I won't let them take you away from me. But I'm willing to let you go if you want to leave…I can give you my life but what I'm scared of is that you will throw it into the sky, bottomless and too spacious for one human life. I'm scared that I will lose myself if it didn't come back to me anymore. It was like existing but not living…but you have become an angel in my life." She continued that made Gwen's heart react as she felt the same thing with her. She was scared as well.
"Slavica, do you think that I'm not scared of this, us? I'm so scared. I'm scared of losing this feeling that I'm having for you. Just like you, you're the first one that I ever felt something. I thought it was just a crush but you mean something to me. Deeply, Vica. You mean deeply to me. I might not dare to speak of what we are to others openly because I need a deeper connection with you. The physical connection was easy to obtain but emotional, I don't think so, especially when both of us went through something painful." Gwen expressed what she was feeling toward the feelings for Slavica that kept growing deep inside her.
"Gwen…" Slavica only managed to say and Gwen just smiled before she looked afar for a second then looked back at her.
"Or maybe we're taking all the risks
For something that is real
'Cause maybe the greatest love of all
Is who the eyes can't see, yeah…" Gwen suddenly sang the part of the bridge that she loves from the song To The Bones by Pamungkas. Slavica listened carefully to the sudden singing voice of hers.
"Take me home, I'm fallin'
Love me long, I'm rollin'
Losing control, body and soul
Mind too for sure, I'm already yours
Walk you down, I'm all in
Hold you tight, you call and
I'll take control, your body and soul
Mind too for sure, I'm already yours…" Gwen went on singing the song and the way she looked at Slavica stated something deep. Slavica shivered at that look because the look that Gwen was giving to her was pure love that she's been longing for ever since she turned immortal.
"I want you to the bone,
I want you to the moon and back…" she finished singing the song and out of the blue she stretched out her arm and wipe something that just fell from Slavica's eyes.
"Sorry…" Slavica apologized that made Gwen shake her head before slightly giggling.
"No, it's okay. I'm glad that you're open to me. You're feeling free to share your vulnerability with me and I would be glad if you run them to me." Gwen assured Slavica that she found nothing bad about her vulnerability. It was not making her love Slavica less. She loves her even more as she was appreciating the soft heart that she had in her.
"Thank you for understanding this side of mine." She thanked her genuinely which made Gwen pull her into her arms.
"It's rare to see you like this but it doesn't matter because you're still you. That's how I see you." She was honest when she kept reassuring Slavica that she was not leaving her or going into some place without the love that both of them have for each other.
Both of them were having their moment at the backyard patio without minding that Slavica's team was already eavesdropping on their conversation while they were doing their assigned tasks.
"Why don't they start dating?" Tucker suddenly asked while watching them holding each other.
"How can if Gwen was still in the middle of her waking up as one of us?" Yui pointed out that made Tucker agree until his eyes landed on Irina.
"Fair reason but Irina, what's gotten into you, you've been staring at them?" Tucker wondered since Irina was indeed staring at the couple on the backyard patio.
"They were both glowing as if they came from one star." Irina responded honestly since she's been sensing something was indeed different around the air swirling between Slavica and Gwen ever since they'd met.
"It's because they were mates?" Yui guessed.
"Could be but I don't think it was just about being mates. Well, let's finish this, or else, we'll deal with Vica's punishment." Irina sighed and turned the table so they could finish their work already before Slavica entered the cabin.
"Yikes! Don't remind me about her punishment." Tucker reacted which made them go back to finishing what Slavica asked them to do.
"Then work." Irina told them and they all went into their busy mode.
When they went back to their assigned task, Slavica pulled away from Gwen's comforting arms. She smiled before placing a lingering kiss on Gwen's forehead because she was grateful for having her in her life. She started to see the light of having love inside her heart again. She knew that it will last and that's what she wanted to see through.
"Gwen, do you think you can defeat me with a sword in hand?" Slavica suddenly asked which changed the atmosphere between them. From serious yet loving turned into serious and at the same time dangerous.
"Oh, now we're talking, of course, I would love to defeat you and be on your top." Gwen grinned excitedly because she wanted to defeat Slavica but they were interrupted due to the sudden ruckus earlier.
"On my top?" Slavica caught that word and made Gwen blush instantly.
"Oh, that came out in the wrong way." Gwen defended herself yet still blushed.
"Well, whatever it may mean, I don't mind as long it's you. I won't mind." She chuckled as she reassured Gwen that she doesn't mind being bottom as long it was Gwen on her top.
"You love me that much." Gwen blushed upon hearing that and said those words to her.
"Only if you knew." Slavica smiled as she get up from her spot and then offered her hand.
"Can't argue with that because I am too." Gwen accepted it and Slavica pulled her up which made them almost kiss but they just chuckled.
"One day, I'll taste them." Slavica winked at her and Gwen instantly blushed which made her punch Slavica's shoulder. It was supposed to be light but Slavica was hurt and stumbled on her ground but a good thing, she didn't fall on her ass from that sudden hard punch from Gwen.
"Sorry." Gwen apologized and Slavica waved it off.
"It's okay, let's get back inside and you need rest." Slavica said that made Gwen agree.
They went back inside the cabin, they were smiling and Tucker faked a cough that cut their moment there. Slavica squeezed Gwen's hand before she let it go and went to her team. Gwen smiled over that small but assuring gesture from Slavica then she headed to the vacant room to change. She has to change and refreshed herself again because of the sweat and some bloodstain that she got from those monsters and fallen vampire rogues earlier.
"Better to clean up myself." Gwen muttered to herself and went straight to the bathroom. She went on doing her usual routine inside the bathroom until she was done.
