Chapter 39: The DIP’s Main Quarters

Gwen walked a little further away from them and the four cautious vampires followed her a little. They just stopped at the right distance from the other captured vampires over the bloody strings. Then Gwen turned to meet their cautious energy flow that she could sense before speaking and giving the answer.

"Answers…you've been seeking answers through this travel trial you had with me that made you cautious on the reason why you had to fight me." Gwen gave them a reassuring smile that made them look among themselves before looking at her again. They all knew that Gwen was saying the truth because they'd been wondering why.

"Well, we have nothing to lose in us anymore." The fourth among the four cautious vampires agreed to Gwen's offer.

Gwen started to grin and lightened - they saw some glow around her aura. They were not blinded by it but they were feeling warm to what Gwen's energy was giving to her. It was making them feel relief and relaxation for some odd reason that they could not explain at all.

"YES! Finally…DIP founders, you already witness my judgment around them, it's up to you to make a call." Gwen just clapped her hands and the bloody strings around them began ringing which made their spot clear up.

Gwen knew already that they were already at the main quarters but she decided to wrap things around for the vampires to be sentenced. She made her bloody strings give out a void barrier that would make them feel they were still away from the DIP main quarters. But they were all wrong. Gwen already knew things already and set things up.

"Surprise?" Gwen asked teasingly to the vampires who were totally giving an epic jaw-drop reaction that she wanted to see.

But what made those vampires really surprised was the presence of DIP members surrounding them in guarded stances. Then they all looked at Gwen and those captured ones began to growl and roar in anger.

"YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR THIS, BITCH!!!"

"YOU'RE DEAD MEAT!"

"WE'RE GOING TO PLAY AND SUCK YOU DRY BITCH!!!"

"WE WON'T LET YOU LEAVE!!!!"

Gwen raised her hands to make the DIP members that were surrounding them stay on their posts. She just give them a cold look until her eyes shifted into white orbs. Those captured vampires jolted and they all started to quiver in fear. Gwen was totally emitting a great deal of power that came from the sun. She was glowing literally like a sun and it was directly sent to those captured vampires.

"GWEN, ENOUGH!" Slavica stopped her by appearing beside her. The direct heat of the sun touching and melting their skin subsided with warmness. They were all groaning in pain because some parts of their skins were burned out.

"They've been pissing me off ever since they attack me." Gwen coldly said as she let Slavica calm her raging heat to minimize.

"Well, you're in your zone." Slavica chuckled a little which made Gwen pout and playfully hit her shoulder before stepping away from her.

The radiating light between them glowed out and when Slavica looked over the captured vampires, they seems frozen on their ground and couldn't meet her steady gaze fixed on them. She even smirked before turning her attention to the presence behind them and respectfully bowed.

'Glad that you made it.'

"And you're still not showing yourself to us, Lady Wilma." Slavica pointed out that made the floating violet orb to released a chuckling voice from Wilma itself.

'Later, maybe. Right, Alys?'

'Right, but I sent Celene to fetch you.'

"And how about those vampires?" Gwen asked when the green orb, named Alys changed the subject and informed them who was going to fetch them.

'Mina?'

When Gwen's question was heard, Alys, the green orb mentioned a name, and another orb came and showed up. It was a crimson-red orb that really looked like blood Gwen already could tell that it was a vampire.

'Celene will decide on that and I know Ricardo is okay with whatever her decision will be.'

"Yes, Queen Mina. They already had a chance on their way here but they still showed no sign of a will to change."

'Very well, then.'

"Welcome to the main quarters of DIP." A familiar voice Gwen greeted them and it was a beautiful vampire that emits power and authority. But at the same time, Gwen sensed a playful side of the same vampire lady approaching them.

"I'm Duchess Celene Aspire." She introduced herself to them and Gwen already could tell that she was royalty because of the way she stood and emitted respect.

"I could tell by the way you bring yourself in front of us." Gwen said that made Celene chuckle in amusement.

"I like you already, Gwen." Celene smiled before she turned to look over the captured and wounded vampires behind them.

"Anyway, wait here. I have to put my sentence on them." Celene excused herself from them and when those vampires noticed that, they were all frightened for their lives. They ever tried to plead for their lives but since Gwen already made her own sentence, it only made it easy for Celene to give her sentence to them.

"Okay, that'll do." Celene just stared at them and they were all gone. There was no existence anymore and went to talk to them inside the DIP main quarters.

There was no question was being laid as to what Celene just did to those vampires since they were no more in sight or even turned into ashes - literally no trace of their existence at all. They just all went inside the spooky vibe Victorian mansion in the middle of the woods. The exterior might be looking like a haunted house but inside, it was totally luxury with antique relics displayed like a museum.

"Where are we exactly?" Gwen asked since the feeling around the mansion felt like she was in a historical museum.

"It looked like a museum right?" Celene liked the reaction that Gwen was showing. It was pure amazement.

"Yeah, vintage and historical museum that's how it seems to me." She nodded while they were walking around the living area.

"Well, those relics were the only thing they managed to save from what happened a long time ago." Celene said as she let Gwen look around the relic items displayed neatly.

"It seems deep." Gwen only said because she sensed that something deep happened in the past for the DIP to exist.

"It does. Come, their office over here but I am not sure if they were all in there." Celene just smiled before they went to a hall that was leading into different rooms with other relics displayed on both sides of the hall.

"What do you mean?" she asked as they passed the hall.

"Some of them travel to check the supernatural entities around the human realm. You know the safety of the humans." Celene answered when she smiled over some DIP member passing by the hall who gave a respectful bow at her.

"I see…" Gwen reacted.

"Meeting them, means you are something." Celene added when a DIP member approached her and handed her a folder Gwen could tell it was a file report.

Celene checked it out in the meantime before nodding off and wrote something on the file before returning it to the DIP member in front of her. He bowed respectfully before leaving and Gwen took the liberty to ask something she recalled.

"Speaking of, why you wanted to meet me in person, Lady Celene?" Gwen directly asked making Celene to laughed while they went back in their tracks.

"You sounded like Slavica. Well, to answer you there, I just wanted to check the person who can make this immortal change, and to be honest, your bond was rare. I hope to witness them in around the supernatural creatures." Celene hoped and the curious cat kicked into Gwen again.

"Why?" she asked.

"It can help to make the fallen rogue at bay or let's better say that they could control themselves not to give in and fall if there was somebody not giving up on them. Mostly, it came from the family and if not from them, someone destine for them. Like what you two have." Celene gave her brief answer regarding that matter because she was hoping for a better outcome for their lives ever since chaos fall in their realm.

"Meaning, Slavica was a fallen rogue?" Gwen asked curiously which made Celene stop in her tracks and looked at them.

"She is and you still didn't see that side of hers." She answered and already could tell that Gwen hasn't seen that side before.

"Oh, I would like to meet that." Gwen smirked which made Slavica sigh on her side.

"Don't wish because it will mean that you're on the bridge of death." Celene chuckled over the reaction that Slavica did. Her team did the same thing.

"Ohh, that one…" Gwen only reacted in that made the others laugh at her. Her reaction was flat that's why the others laughed over it.

"Don't try, Gwen." Slavica rolled her eyes from their laughter but she mean her warning to Gwen.

"I won't but I can't promise that it won't happen one day since we're in this realm." Gwen smiled but at the same time, she just reminded Slavica of how dangerous their lives already could be.

"I know that's why I'll try to protect you at all costs." Slavica seriously said that making Gwen to blush.

"Same goes here with me." She returned the favor and Slavica went closer to her but their moment has been cut off when Celene speaks.

"Stop being sweet. We're here already. Open the door, Gwen because you're the one who desires to meet them in person." Celene stopped the moment that might end up with them witnessing a kissing scene.

"Oh, okay." Gwen reacted and turned to the old and huge door. She took a deep breath and when she was about to open the door, Slavica hold her hand for a second.

"We'll wait here." Slavica told her and Gwen nodded in understanding before placing a kiss on her cheek and then opening the door easily.

When Gwen entered the room, Celene released a sigh before speaking to Slavica and her team.

"Who would have a single thought that she could easily open them like any ordinary door." Celene reacted and started walking toward on another hall not from the DIP founders' head office.

"I could even sense that it was not any ordinary door to be opened." Yui commented that they could agree with this since they could sense it.

"Did you sense it too, Vica?" Irina asked Slavica because she recalled once that she informed her about not sensing clearly those things around her when Gwen was around her.

"Speaking of that, I could sense everything greatly." Slavica thanked Irina for asking that since she recalled what she could ask from DIP's head doctor at the main quarters.

"What do you mean by that, Slavica?" Celene curiously asked because she had never heard anyone lose their sense when they found their mates.

"Lady Celene, please check on what's happening to me. Ever since Gwen awakened, I started to feel different like I could not easily sense something was wrong if she was not at the right distance away from me. And whenever she's with me, I could not read her at all as I used to do. It's puzzling." Slavica asked to be checked since she was not sure what caused made her like that.

"Hmm, I'm not sure how your mate bond really took form but if you're saying it like that, you need to know how things worked for her. You two need to work it out. But for now, let's see how yours works first before I could check on hers." Celene nodded in understanding and wanted to help her since it was a new case that she had never crossed with until now.

"Thanks." Slavica thanked Celene as they walked closer to the vintage cafeteria that looked like a diner.

"Vica, can we go to the cafeteria? I prepare something for us, especially Gwen." Irina asked since she really wanted to make something for Gwen.

"You can but make it healthy and don't be a dotting mother on her." Slavica teased Irina who blushed before rolling her eyes.

"Shut up." Irina grabbed Yui and Tucker's arms and then went to the cafeteria.

Slavica shook her head before following Celene toward her own office that was near the clinic of the main quarters.

As they went on their own way, Gwen, on the other hand, was welcomed by darkness until she made a few steps inside the room, and lights began to flicker. It was creepy flickering but Gwen was not surprised by it. She could sense their enormous power radiating throughout the space of the room.

"So, I'll take a seat since you seem busy with paper works." Gwen used her blue eyes to make her see clearly through the darkness of the room then took a seat that was not far from her right.

"Sorry about that but thank you for your understanding." a familiar voice speaks and she knew it was from the same lady with a crimson red orb earlier.

"You're Mina." Gwen commented even though she could not clearly see things around the room, she could tell that she was on the desk doing paper works.

"Yes, the others will be here in the moment. So, relax while waiting." Gwen thought for a moment when she heard Mina.

"Hmm, no need because I know they're here." She said because she could finally see the other's whereabouts within the room.

"And how can you tell?" Mina stopped what she was doing and asked in a curious manner while looking carefully at her. Gwen's eyes glow in her bright blue that could make everything in the dark or even invincible clear to her sight.
