Slavica was totally feeling the love that Gwen was expressing to her once again and it was making her feel more alive than usual. It was warming her entire being as if she was being blessed by something worth living.
If it feels colder
We can start all over and over and over again
"Oh, my love…I am too. It was growing every day and night whether were together or apart. I love missing you because I know when we meet, it will be fruitful like we are feeling now. Our love grows fondly and not apart. Our love is growing together and something we both didn't expect it will. We just love each other because we both found something between us that is worth taking care of, a gift that can't be replaced by anything." Slavica shared the wisdom that she was feeling through their love for each other and Gwen nodded in agreement. She was also feeling the same way.
"If you feel lost
Let me remind you, my love shines and I will always find you
Have no fear, love is here
Love is true, love is me, love is you…" they both sang the bridge of the song that made their tears fall together. They were feeling the love that made them feel so grateful for whatever was happening to them.
Then both of them let their forehead rest against each other while the smile never left their lips. They were both feeling the moment that they were having when the elk king and the black cat of Gwen began disturbing their moments.
"Seriously, my alone time with you is always being interrupted." Gwen groaned as she hid her face on Slavica's neck again.
"Well, we're in Wilma's created realm…so, it's open." Slavica pointed out as she dearly caressed Gwen's back.
"And you're not worried about what they were thinking?" she wondered while looking now at Slavica's reaction.
"I am but whenever I look at you and think of you, I just shrugged my shoulders. All I care what was the highest heaven thinks of me and what you had in mind about me." Slavica sighed but she honestly said what she had in her thoughts. Gwen nodded in understanding.
"Gwen, I might not tell everyone about what I am feeling or what I am thinking since it was enough for me that you know and the highest heaven does. One day, it will come out naturally. That's what I believe in." She reassured Gwen who put her arms around her neck and gave her the loving embrace that Slavica loves a lot.
"Naturally…I get that. I understand that clearly." She smiled full of understanding and it came from the pure love that she has for her.
"Thank you." Slavica purely thanked her lover.
They were having a relaxing moment with two beastly creatures beside them relaxing as well. But it caught Slavica's attention and decided to know about them.
"So, who's your familiar that you've gained around here?" Slavica started on asking her even though she had a hunch it was the two beasts beside them.
"Oh, the Elk King and this black cat which I still don't have a name for them. They just suddenly appeared before me." Gwen answered and she looked at the two beasts while smiling.
"Hm, I think that's the privilege of being a tamer. It attracts beasts or monsters alike to be tamed." Slavica smiled back as she watched Gwen petting the two beasts around them.
"But not every one of them though." She looked around and only those two came close to her. Slavica chuckled at that.
"Indeed but since they came for you, it means they've chosen you as their master and whenever they do, they'll be your familiar." Slavica briefly explained but Gwen still wonder about something.
"How about Avalyn?" she asked.
"You just gave her name. She didn't come to you like the elk king or the black cat does, am I right?" Slavica wanted to know about it and when Gwen nodded to confirm she added more clarification to what she was saying.
"Then she's not your familiar but you're her tamer like Wilma to her." She added and Gwen thinks about it carefully.
"How can I tame her then?" she wondered like a curious cat.
"Ask Wilma since I'm not a tamer. I'm a knight." Slavica slightly pinched the tip of her nose as she said those words to her.
"Right, so any suggestions on what to name these two familiars of mine then?" Gwen sighed and changed the subject about naming her two familiars beside her.
Slavica looked at the elk king who sensed it and looked back at her. She smiled before looking at the black cat on Gwen's lap. Both of the creatures was staring back at Slavica as if they were waiting for her suggestions until she noticed their energy flow. Both were powerful which complimenting the growing powers in Gwen.
"Hmm, Actaeon for the elk king and Bastet for the black cat. Do you like it?" Slavica suddenly said and wondered if Gwen likes her suggestions.
"Yeah, Actaeon, Bastet, do you like your names?" Gwen nodded but she turned to ask her familiars and they both reacted by snuggling on her.
"Seems like they do." Slavica chuckled over their cuteness but they were interrupted again. Gwen groaned in annoyance and Slavica just smiled.
"Wow, you gave your babies names." Wilma teased them. Gwen blushed but was still annoyed over being interrupted again.
"Wilma, stop teasing them." Alysia chuckled.
"What? They both agreed and give names to them as a parent would do to their own baby." Wilma reasoned and still sounded like teasing them.
"What is it, Wilma? Need something from us?" but instead of being irritated or embarrassed, Slavica sensed something that made her ask Wilma about it.
"Nothing escapes from you. But I'm just here to remind you to study your assigned cases now, Mina wanted to hear what you think about them." Wilma smirked and reminded them about the cases that they need to think of.
"Something happen, right?" when Gwen heard that she knew that something was up and wondered about it.
"Yeah, and it might be connected to your assigned case." Alysia just answered and Gwen sighed.
"Okay, we're on it." Slavica smiled and get up from the grassy ground as well Gwen.
"Let's go. See you later." Gwen said to her familiars who respectfully bowed at her and both of them left Wilma's created realm.
But they didn't leave alone because Bastet came out with them and it was walking beside Gwen. Slavica noticed that and didn't comment but she smiled as they both went inside their bedroom. She snapped her fingertips and magically the files that Mina handed to her earlier showed up on their study table. It surprised the black cat who decided to rest there. Gwen giggles and put Bastet on the bed inside.
"Don't pee there." Gwen warned her black cat as she focused on checking the files one by one.
"Scouting for DIP's branch?" she wondered what she read on the first file that she opened.
"Yeah, the founders thought of expanding so they won't overpopulate this main DIP quarter. Plus, some cases were too far from the main quarters that's why they decided to expand." Slavica explained to her and she nodded.
"Well, they need to keep an eye on every creature to prevent the fallen rogues from running havoc. Though, I knew not every fallen rogue can be prevented from running havoc when somebody was triggering it." She added and Slavica chuckled but it was all true.
"True, that's why teams like us were being sent to check on them." She added then Gwen checked the next file and she heard the name of the place before.
"Ciel Nocturne…is that where Mina and Celene came from?" she wondered about the vampire dwelling.
"Yes, and they wanted us to check things out in case something began to stir up there and it might be connected to what Celene asked us." Slavica nodded and reminded the side quest that Celene gave them.
"Hmm, then it'll be difficult if we know nothing about the status there." Gwen pointed out and Slavica nodded in agreement to that.
"But I have to warn you, some of them didn't like our existence but since Mina's presence lurks around their land, they couldn't do anything about it." She warned Gwen in case somebody tried to hurt them when they paid them a visit.
"And what if Mina dies, it will die too?" she wondered but Slavica shook her head.
"I don't think they're going to die unless the Moon told them so." Slavica cleared the part and it was making Gwen realize something that the founders were immortal already for them to reach this long.
"I see…about the third…it was like my case, am I right?" Gwen guessed when she began checking the third file that they need to deal with one day.
"Yes, but a little bit different because Janella and Lisabeth were already under surveillance so they were already out of the equation. We're just going to pay them a visit and test them if they were ready to be recruited as a team. But the other two, that's the part we're going to be patient of." Slavica answered as she also briefly explained to her their difference.
"Mirian and Vanessa…according to the report, the DIP was already watching them but Mirian was the one holding things up because of her mate Vanessa, right?" she could guess what was making their case different while reading the report inserted in the file.
"Yes, Vanessa has been marked by the blood of Mirian aside from fated mate for each other. Yet, she doesn't have any recollection of Mirian's whole identity. She's being patient around her even if it was hurting because of Vanessa's human nature, to forget the existence of Mirian from time to time. That's why she needs to appear differently around her till it's time for her to be her girlfriend." Slavica went on explaining some parts that she noticed about the report and meeting Mirian in person once.
"They were dating?" Gwen wondered.
"Yes, but Mirian was a doctor and Vanessa was still in the line of promotion at the police station she's working at which we have to check if she could make it or not." She nodded and began informing Gwen what making things a little bit difficult on handling them.
"We're the one who was going to give the test on her?" she wondered based on what Slavica told her.
"Hmm, I never thought of that yet. But since you suggested it, I think we could." She nodded in consideration of the idea.
"Let's prepare for her promotional test for it. From her expertise in the field, technicalities in tight situations, and team effort aside from the written examination." Gwen agreed on preparing something for Vanessa since she was already working at the police station.
"We could add to the report and records from their department about her." Slavica likes the idea that Gwen was giving her and even added what could make them put Vanessa's case in such a consideration alongside Mirian.
"Since it was done…but what does this black with red tagged on it meant?" Gwen changed the subject to something new.
"Ah, read it. It was the case that Celene told us." Slavica smiled as she leaned over the window of their bedroom since Gwen was busy reading the files on the study table.
"Trigger of Change?" she wondered.
"It seems to me the vampire and abomination that Celene was telling us was one person and it will trigger something in all of the realms to move again." She answered what she knew about what it meant.
"DIP was just the start like clearing the path for the trigger to make the wheel in all realms move again, did I guess it right?" Gwen could immediately put her input or guessed what she was reading at the moment. Slavica looked at her and smirked.
"Yes. brainstorming with you really making things wild but meaningful." She admitted that she loves thinking with Gwen like what they were doing already.
"I know right? So, when do you think we can check things out?" she wondered when they could start dealing with the assigned task on them.
"If we start now, there's no going home until we do all of them while reporting our progress to them." Slavica told her and Gwen already could tell that based on how she spend time with her and the team already.
"I see, then we have to prepare for it." She nodded and before she close all of the files, she made a quick scan of them as if she was imprinting them in her mind but no. She was just doing that in case she needed to connect things with them again.
"Indeed we do. I'll ask Tucker and Yui to check the assigned area to scout there and I let Irina do her thing on gathering information that she could around the Ceil Nocturne and Singarti status." Slavica began suggesting diving the task to their other teammates which Gwen agreed on.
"Then, we'll check on the first two first." She went closer to Slavica before putting her arms around her neck while smiling.
"Yes, but let's have something to eat it's already pass noon." Slavica pulled her closer and kissed the tip of her nose before they both started giggling. Then they went out to get their late lunch.
At the cafeteria, the couple finally made it and started picking their food but when they managed to sit with the others, irritation began to swirl around the entire cafeteria. Everyone who was having a nice time eating their meals began to be alarmed.
"Alarm again?" Gwen was about to eat her Subway-like tuna sandwich when everyone began to be alarmed over something they all sensed.
"Seems like it." Slavica sighed heavily.
"Fuck it." She groaned and it made Slavica to chuckled as they went on proceeding on eating their chosen meal for their late lunch.
