Chapter 20 - Lizard

Ye Feng used his spear and started digging, he dug and dug, he knew that he had dug for more than 600 meters but he wasn't sure, for how many meters he dug, he continued digging, yet, at some point

*Clink*

His spear collided with a white rock, yet, the rock wasn't destroyed, it wasn't even remotely hurt, Ye Feng tried to get around and dug to the right, yet, he was met with the rock again, he then dug to the left, yet, the rock wall was still there, he continued digging around it and realized that the stone wall formed some sort of rectangle.

Ye Feng was sure that whatever was spying on him was within this area, he took in a deep breath and propelled the spear at the rock wall with all of his Mental Power,

*Clink*

The spear didn't even leave a scratch, it fell to the ground, with a quick look, Ye Feng noticed a small crack on the spearhead and looked at the rock wall with shock, he punched the rock wall with all his might and was ejected, he ignited his palm and put it next to the rock, hoping the rock would melt.

Unfortunately, the rock kept its white colour, it didn't even get charred due to the flame, actually, Ye Feng could also feel the heat from the rock, it wasn't that the rock itself was hot, when he removed the Ignition, Ye Feng felt that the rock became colder, it wasn't as hot as it was.

"So it was this!", he exclaimed, he had finally understood what this rock did, Ye Feng attacked the rock wall a few more times, at first, he punched with all of his strength then gradually reduced his strength, in the end, he only poked the rock wall extremely slowly.

He now knew what he had to do after these small tests, he took out the spear with a cracked spearhead, he poked the wall a few more times at the same spot before using his spear to make a hole in it, fortunately, the spear didn't break this time, it indeed did make a hole in the rock wall.

This rock would absorb the ability of whatever attacked it, if something hit it with immense strength, the rock would get harder, if something was extremely hot, the rock would turn even hotter, yet, it takes less than 1 second for the rock to gain its ability back, thus, if one hit it with little to no strength then the rock would be extremely weak, using that information, Ye Feng poked the wall with almost to no strength before using his spear to poke a hole in it right before the wall turned back to normal.

Ye Feng looked at the chunks of rock and put them into his pouch, he would get people to make an extremely thin armor with this rock, although its weakness was obvious, Ye Feng knew that in a fight, one wouldn't stop to think about the ability of his armor and just think that it was extremely hard.

He could even use those rocks to scam people, he thought, yet, if someone could understand its ability then Ye Feng would lose one of his trump card, after entering the protected cube, he used a piece of rock to float, else he would fall to the ground and die due to the fall.

When he made a hole in the rock wall, his Mental Power was able to enter the cube and Ye Feng got to find out that the cube was actually bigger inside than it normally looked, on the outside, it wasn't even 300 meters long, yet, inside, he couldn't even see how long the area was. After using a piece of rock to reach the ground, Ye Feng looked around, there weren't any mist here, thus, he could see without troubles and knew that he was in a forest, he also felt that he was extremely close to where the person spying him was.

He continued wandering in the same direction, suddenly stopped and looking above, he climbed the tree next to him and looked at the black lizard on the branch, their eyes met and the lizard shook in fear before running without looking back.

Sadly, Ye Feng had Mental Power and directly grabbed the lizard, put it right in front of him before saying,

"Were you the one who was spying at me from afar?"

After speaking, Ye Feng realized that he was an idiot since the lizard probably couldn't even understand him, but, surprisingly, the lizard nodded,

"So, how did you do that?"

After Ye Feng asked the first question, he put down the lizard, while still shivering, Ye Feng noticed that the Qi in the air around him was getting thinner and thinner, it was converging on the lizard, slowly, the lizard opened its third eye,

"When I open my third eye, I unlock my Mental Power, that's how I was able to spy on you. That's also how I can speak to you, as for why I was spying on you, it was because you're so weird, I never seen anyone like you."

With the voice of a young child, the lizard sent a message directly into his head, Ye Feng was surprised,

"Why didn't you run away when I was coming to you?"

"Because even though I was scared of you, I need your help."

"Then why did you run away when you saw me?" Ye Feng said while gazing at the lizard weirdly.

"Because you're too scary!"

"..."

Ye Feng felt like he was going to have a headache speaking to this lizard and directly got to the point,

"Then, why do you need my help?"

"My entire race was captured and was forced into slavery, the ones that did that are amongst the strongest races of this part of the Canyon, nobody can help us, if you agree to help me, I can lead you to a lot of treasures to make you stronger!" The Lizard said with a pleading tone.

"I agree, but, you'll need to make a consensual contract with me and become my Beast Nuclei!" Ye Feng said with a firm voice, if he wanted to have a perfect breakthrough, he needed to make a Beast Nuclei through a consensual contract, and, this would probably be the only time that getting one would be so easy.

The Lizard hesitated before eventually nodding, its third eye closed and it fell to the ground, unconscious, Ye Feng picked up the small Lizard and dug a small den, waiting for the Lizard to wake up.
