CHAPTER 25 - FOUND

"What's taking them so long? It already dark!" Friean was waiting impatiently for Rex and Ace to comeback.

"Can you guys teach us how to make a fire out of anything in this forest? Kind of survival must-haves as they say," Mave shyly asked.

Tosh and Hoax looked at each other, "Oh, yeah!"

"We forgot to make one. Especially, now that it's getting darker. It will help Ace and Rex to easily find their way back here," Tosh said while preparing the stones.

Hoax sat on the ground while holding two stones, Tsoh on the other hand is adding twigs, dried leaves, and anything that could make the fire grow bigger.

"First thing and the easiest well, for me, is to try rubbing these two stones. Although sometimes, you have to remember to bring handy lighters with you, in our case, this is what we have to do. Just rub them as fast as you can, soon you'll be seeing some sparks like these," Hoax was showing it to them, "When you see those, go nearer to these twigs and leaves so that when the fire becomes bigger, it will travel from these stones to those," and the bonfire was ready.

Tosh sat with two bamboo-like sticks with a small hole, "Another one is by using these. You just have to, uhm, like with the stones, rub it until you see some smoke coming out from the hole and then rub it faster, then here you go!"

Friean and Mave were amazed at what the two did. Their eyes were sparkling with the desire to try it too.

Roi laugh, "Give them a try, Mave, and Friean. That was totally fun," he encouraged them.

"Can we?" they both asked.

The three other men laughed and Hoax answered, "Of course! What's the point of asking us to teach you, right? Here," Hoax gave the bamboos to Friean and the stones to Mave, "Try rubbing those two in the best of your abilities to produce fire. We will wait until you do it," and they covered the fire Tosh and him made until it dies.

"Wait! Why did you put out the fire? How can they find us?" Friean was pertaining to Ace, Meta, and Rex.

"That's the challenge," Roi answered, "For them to be able to find us, you two should hurry up and put that fire back again. You two have to light up our place so that they can find us. It is up to the two of us if they will see us here or not."

"Well, that is not fair!" Mave complained, "We were just trying this for the first time, yet we will be responsible for that matter. It's kinda scary!"

"That is how we will help you in order to learn it faster. We do not know what will happen to us every minute, so it is just right to teach you this. Besides, it is one of the survival tips you must have. Who can say that maybe, Lady Samson will make this forest in winter mode," Tosh explained.

Hoax clapped fast, "Move now, my fellow prisoners!"

All of them laughed.

Moments have passed. Hoax and Tosh have fallen asleep.

"How can they sleep like that while we are doing this? I can't believe them!" Friean sighed.

"They prepared and cooked our food for today. They also gathered these twigs and dried leaves. They have made the fire a while ago, too. What more can you ask for?" Roi said. Although he is smiling, you can feel the authority and it made her stop from talking, "You two better do your job, and stop complaining. That was your first task after all."

Mave and Friean looked at each other.

"We're sorry, Roi. We'll do this as fast as we can. But please be patient," Mave tries to work hard and Roi has sat down under the tree with the sleepyheads.

"Is he trying to get on my nerves?" Friean asked Mave.

Mave felt that she was about to lose her control so he whispered, "Calm down, Friean. He's right. Roi and the other boys were trying their best to help us, the one's who were not used to this kind of situation, to be safe and to survive. And with this simple task, we will learn something and we will help them too. We have to listen to them, okay?"

Friean was taken by Mave's words, "Why do you always make me feel sorry for doing something I used to do? I am starting to hate you."

"You shouldn't," Mave chuckled, "Because we should help each other to grow like them. To become the best leaders of our nation. Get it?"

"Fine! Although, I will not be the Queen. I want to learn how to protect myself at least," Friean realized.

"Good girl!" Mave teased her.

"Enough! Let's get back to work."

The breeze gets colder and colder. The skies were already dark. No stars to add to its beauty.

"My Mom told me that whenever there is a cold breeze and the stars don't show up, there's a great possibility that it will rain. And—" Friean and Mave were taken aback.

"Ace, Meta and Rex!" they both shouted on each other's faces.

"We have to run faster! For goodness sake!" Mave said.

"Where are they?" Friean was starting to get teary.

They rubbed and rubbed and finally they succeeded. Both of them let out a sigh of relief and lie down on the ground. They were both catching their breathe and pat each other's shoulder saying, "You did great! I am proud of you!"

Everyone was asleep now. Hoax, Tosh, and Roi were under the tree while Friean and Mave were near the bonfire. They were all sleeping soundly. That was the only time they felt so comfortable to sleep after a long time staying on the island. They don't mind the place they were lying at as long as they are comfortable.

Not so long when tiny drops touched Friean's face waking her up from her sleep.

"What was that for?" she was completely irritated.

Mave was awakened to, "It was raindrops! Where the hell are those people now?"

They heard something brushing from the bushes from a distance. Friean and Mave run towards the boys under the tree and wake them up.

"What's the problem?" Roi asked while brushing his hair.

"We heard something over there," Mave pointed the bushes, "It ain't a wild animal, right?"

Tosh laughed, "What are you talking about?"

"What's funny with what Mave have— AAAAAAAH!" Friean shouted when the creature behind the bush showed up.

"There they are! We finally found them!"
