CHAPTER 35 - TRAINING

"We should not settle for what we are right now," Roi said after a while of being silent.

Friean's eyes were still puffy because of crying, "I don't know what to do. Between me and David, I know that I am less capable of battling. What should I do? I really don't know!"

Ace sighed, "We are only eight now. We should stand closer side by side to monitor everyone. To keep everyone safe, we should schedule each task and promise to not go any far from anyone."

"We should start training Mave and Friean since they are the ones that are not experienced when it comes to fighting. Mave has good body reflexes since he is an athlete. Friean needs a lot of training to improve her speed and senses. I volunteer to be her main trainer," Meta said which made everyone shocked.

Rex accidentally hugged Meta, but she moved away quickly, "Ahm, I was just carried away," Rex raised his two hands, "Thank you, Meta."

Meta is blushing, "I understand. You don't have to do that. Again."

Roi and Ace laughed together as if they already knew.

"I have no bad intention with regards to that. I hope you understand," Rex scratched his forehead lightly.

Friean's sobs turned louder after hearing what Meta said, "Thank you, Meta. You are the person that I least expected to help me. But here you are you offered your help first."

Meta hugged her and brushed her hair, "We started differently. But this is what I really feel towards you and Snow. I am longing for my friend back there but when I saw you two, there's something inside me that became excited and I hate it because of what happened between me and my friend there and I'm too scared it might happen again."

"I understand you. It was just like asking yourself to love again when you think you cannot," Friean smiled and accidentally met Mave's eyes, "I'm glad that you opened your heart to us. When will we start?"

The two of them giggled, "The moment that your puffy eyes are not as red as that. Go get some sleep. No, I'll come with you. I'll watch you sleep."

Friean and Meta walked together until they reached the shady tree. All the boys were touched by how the girls made it up with each other.

"I still feel sad that we haven't got the same chance to do it with David," Mave turned to face the boys but he was surprised by the meaningful looks they are giving him, "Why? I really like to make up with David since, among us, he is, ahm" he cannot finish what he wants to say, "What's with that look?"

"Tell me," Rex started to talk, "Do you like my sister?"

"Who wouldn't?" Mave was flustered by his answer, "I mean, uhm, Friean is too soft and, ahm, who among us hates her? Each of us likes her right?" he tries to get the question back at them.

Ace laughed, "That is not what Rex is asking!" he can't help but laughed, "He was asking if you like Friean as a woman. You know, not that kind of like, silly boy!"

"I'm not a boy!" Mave turned red, "Who will help me train?" he was trying to change the topic.

"The baby is changing the topic," Roi stand up and was pulling his sleeves up, "Let's stop teasing him and start right now," all the boys stand up and are preparing to attack him.

"Wait! What is this?" Mave's hands are shaking, "All of you against me? Are you kidding me?"

"We will attack one by one, Mave," Mave was surprised. It was just a glimpse and now Hoax is beside him whispering, "Be alert. Although we will attack one by one, it can be as fast as two after one."

"Don't you think this is unfair? How come that Friean will be trained by Meta alone and me against the five of you?" Mave was like a child throwing tantrums.

Tosh stretched his arms, "You are too loud and talks as fast as that. Use it with your body. Give your body enough strength and move as fast as you can."

The boys lined up. Roi, Hoax, Tosh, Ace, and Rex in order.

Mave was still standing but unlike a while ago, he was now concentrated. The two ladies were taking a rest while the boys are on fire.

Hoax tapped Roi, "What's taking you so long?"

Mave's attention was caught by Hoax and suddenly Roi attacked him, he hit him at his core.

Mave was down in pain, "We will not go easy on you, Mave. We warned you to be alert. Don't be distracted by others. Get up, now!"

Even while suffering in pain, Mave managed to stand up. This time, it is Hoax who will attack him. Ace is cheering him but the pain that Roi gave him made his concentration on this fight to be more. He saw Hoax's fast movement and he figured out which way it has gone. He was about to stop him. He felt his fist with his own hands but sadly it still reached his face.

Mave is down again with a little amount of blood on his lips due to Hoax's punch.

Hoax is standing still for a few seconds before he faced the other guys who were giving him a questioning look, "He touched it. He saw it coming," everyone saw how surprised Hoax is.

Tosh is shaking his hands while waiting for Mave to completely stand, "Maybe you just go easy on him. We told him that we will not how dare you to do that?"

"Believe me, I did not! It was the same attack I have made with the wolf last time. Do you think I'll be this surprised if I know that I have gone easy on him?" Hoax asked.

Tosh looked at the struggling face of Mave, "Let us see if you are saying the truth."
