CHAPTER 34 - THIRD

Lady Samson smirked at Hoax like she was saying that he can't ever beat her. She moved just like the wind and in just a second she was beside the struggling poor David who was badly injured. She held his neck and carried him just like a stuffed toy.

"I trusted you but you betrayed me," Lady Samson said and looked at them, "I asked him to be my spy on your group. This man told me every single step and plans you have that's why I was able to track you down. Now, tell me. Will you still fight to save him?"

Meta doesn't need to answer when she immediately stared at her hands and controlled them like she was gripping them hard. It made Lady Samson scream in pain and David was released.

"He has his reasons. We know that. The day he was forcing us to go the other way instead of the direction we planned, we sensed something was off with him. That is why we tried our bests to narrow down all the possible reasons and discussed it while his attention was far away from us," Roi said while looking at Lady Samson's eyes.

David covered his mouth. His tears suddenly fell from his eyes. He can't believe that despite betraying them, they were all now standing here to fight for him. His heart was aching thinking that he was not worthy of their efforts.

"That foolish man told me all of your plans. Including why all of you were not going separate ways and moving in a group. What did I tell you? I want all of you to learn survival alone, right? And if not you will stay longer here," Lady Samson feels a bit of achievement.

Meta scoffed, "As far as I can remember, you just told us to learn survival inside this freaking forest. And luckily, we are learning while we were together. What's wrong with that? All I can see that is wrong is the way why you want us to be alone and seducing David to be your spy. I pity you, woman," Lady Samson was surprised, "You are using your dirty tactics just to get rid of us. You even seduced a taken man and manipulated him to be yours," Meta laughed, "I just find it funny that David was able to counter your spell, he managed to warn us about what will happen so we got the chance to assign jobs that we can do."

"What do you mean?" Lady Samson is clueless.

Rex sits down, "That day when the wolves attacked us. I felt something strange with what David was drawing on the ground. I saw directions and at first, I thought those wolves were just ordinary wolves because he too has no idea on how your wolves look like. So I decided to roam and saw them. I managed to stop most of them from reaching this area and they were able to beat the leader."

"Are you fooling me? Are you all acting dumb all this time?" Lady Samson's sound was frustrated.

"Don't act as if you were really surprised, Lady Samson," Ace finally talked, "You said you have been eyeing all of us since then. So we assume that you already know our capabilities to its extent."

She glared at him, "I saw all of them except you, General. It seems that you don't belong to where you came from."

"I have lived there since my birth. I am not part of the royal bloodline so you didn't keep an eye on me. You should have foreseen things carefully," Ace smirked.

Lady Samson burst out of disappointment she moved as fast and powerful as a tornado and grabbed David again. She smiled devilishly while looking at them while holding David. Before anyone of them takes action, she twisted David's head. And let its breathless body to fall on the ground.

"No!" Friean was totally flustered and she even fell but Mave was able to catch her.

Mave was shaking Friean, "Friean, wake up! Wake up!"

Lady Samson was catching her breath. She was exhausted with what had happened, "You don't know who you are dealing with, Your Highnesses. I am Lady Samson, the one who made this Mythic Island. Nobody, even one from you who can beat me," and she disappeared.

All of them rushed to where David's body fell.

Hoax was trying to feel David's vitals and thinking if he can do something about it. But he sighed and shook his head, "He's gone. David's gone too."

Friean, who just woke up cried out loud, "How can she do this to David?"

Rex was comforting her, "Calm down. We will leave this island safe."

Sheldon came out of the bushes. He was panting. He was obviously run to reach their location, "Your Highnesses, what happened?"

"David is gone, Sheldon," Roi answered, "She killed him."

Sheldon came to David's body while struggling because of disbelief, "No, no. This is not true!" he cried, "Poor David. He has done nothing wrong. He tried to stay faithful with all of you while trying to know Lady Samson's plan so he can get you away with her traps."

"We know, that is why we are really sad and sorry for not making anything to save him," Roi apologized.

"That's not true," Sheldon looked at them with tears in his eyes, "I know that you all did your best to save him. But Lady Samson was really determined and angry when she left the quarters. That's the reason also why I rushed here but I came really late."

Mave sadly smiled at him, "Thank you, Sheldon. For always taking our side although you are her servant. She's so lucky to have you. you are helping us in a way that you can't harm her. You are just thorned by something I can't tell. But we are very thankful to you."

"I will be forever loyal to her. But in things like this, I don't think I can tolerate these. I will be the one to send him back. That's the least I can do to help you. Rest assured that he will get home safely. I am very sorry for another loss, Your Highnesses."

Sheldon was walking away while carrying David. All of them were shocked by the sudden loss.
