CHAPTER 35

Year X778

For the past 2 years, the name of Enzo Lockhart had become famous in the entire Kingdom of Fiore for finishing multitudes of incredibly dangerous A-rank missions. His fame was also spread throughout many Dark or Illegal Guilds in the Kingdom. In the two years that Enzo had been active as a legal wizard, multiple Dark Guilds had been wipeout by his own hand.

A rookie reporter of the Sorcerer Magazine became fascinated about the reputation of Enzo, not in the general population but towards the illegal wizards of society. This reporter became so interested in this idea that he contacted the Magic Council about being able to interview a couple of dark mages that Enzo had personally sent to prison.

The interview was then promptly written in the next month's issue of the magazine and it became a controversial topic for a number of people in the Kingdom. One of the reasons why the article was given so much buzz was the way Enzo took care of all those Dark Mages. Every single dark mage that Enzo had sent to prison lost at least one limb, one even lost all of his limbs.

This part was always left out when news of Dark guilds was destroyed by Enzo. Some agreed to this but others stated that it was too cruel a punishment. But Enzo, the man who the people were talking about didn't even care about the rumors questioning the morality of his actions. To him, he was doing a good job.

"ENZO! FIGHT ME!"

"Seriously kid, you are so annoying", Enzo said as he swatted the newest member of the guild. The red-haired fire wizard of the guild was then seen flying across the guildhall.

"OUCH! THAT HURT YOU FIRE BRAIN!"

"OH YEAH, BRING IT, ICE PRINCESS!"

Unfortunately, Natsu hit Gray's head as he was landing, this once again prompted the two individuals to fight. The members of the guild didn't even care about this caused this was a common occurrence, even though Natsu only joined Fairy Tail nearly a month ago.

"BANG!"

"BANG!"

Both Gray and Natsu fought for a while but were then stopped due to someone hitting them in the head.

"No fighting!", Erza stated to the two trouble makers in front of him. They immediately nodded their heads and acted like good old friends.

Enzo just looks at this with a smirk on his face, and he then went to the counter and ordered some food to eat. Beside him is Master Makarov who was drinking his beer while he is reading the newspapers.

"You know, most people don't drink beer in the day. Some people might think that you have a drinking problem", Enzo stated to Makarov in a joking manner.

"HUH! I'm old, I don't care what they think", Makarov replied with a smile on his face, he then continued, "Oh yeah, your part of the few members that are going to take the S-rank promotion exam. You weren't here when I announce it", Makarov then proceeded to take a huge gulp of his beer.

"I see. When is that going to be held again?"

"Two days from now", Makarov replied.

The relationship between Makarov and Enzo had greatly improved. Right now Makarov can say that he trusts Enzo, but he still worries for the young man. For the past two years, Enzo had become quite a loner among the members of the guild.

He accepts multiple missions at once, just like Gildarts. This would take him a few months to finish due to the workload that he takes because of this he rarely returns to the Guild.

Even Kagura had talked about it with Enzo but the man didn't care. This resulted in their relationship souring somewhat. But Makarov knew that Enzo wanted this, he wanted to maintain distance with most members of the guild.

Most times when Enzo returns back to the guild only Makarov would have a decent conversation with him and then he would be gone and leave for missions shortly after.

"I see you took out another dark guild before you returned here", Makarov stated as he read his newspapers.

"So, what are they calling me this time? The limb destroyers, the frozen maniac or have they given me a more fearsome moniker", Enzo said with sarcasm. Due to Enzo's reputation in terms of him destroying and eliminating dark guilds on some occasions, the news outlet had given him some unflattering names, all of which Enzo has had fun with.

"No, this reporter has defended your methods actually...in a manner of speaking that is. He does agree with the consensus that your methods are somewhat cruel, but the reporter writes that cruelty is needed against the evil that the Dark Guild represents. The writer then gives you a new moniker, The White Titan of Fairy Tail. That's a lot better than all the rest that have been given to you", Makarov said as he read to his paper.

"hmmmm...interesting", Enzo said as he finishes eating his meal. He was quite shocked that he got the same moniker again.

Suddenly a man entered the guild with a clear determined look on his face, the man was radiating strong magical fluctuations. On occasion, the body of the man would spark with lighting. The man walks near the counter and said to Enzo, "So, you and I are going to be taking the S-rank exams in a few days from now. I'll be able to repay you for that defeat that you gave me two years ago".

"Calm yourself Laxus. Who says that you will win? Do you actually believe that I didn't become more powerful? Such naive thinking will get you beaten", Enzo said with a calm tone.

"tsk. Will see who will be beaten", Laxus replied and then he left the guild.

On the side of the guild, a man with blue hair said to the person seating beside him, "Huh! They think that they can win the S-rank title from me! I'll win the promotion exam and be sn official S-rank mage".

"Let it go, Macao. You'll never win if your opponents are both Laxus and Enzo", Wakaba said as he reprimanded his closest friend and he then took a cigarette and began to smoke.
