Letting Go
I waited for forever, I didn't enjoy my friend's wedding because of Lena. I've been thinking a lot of things while she drive me home.
"You okay?" My girlfriend asked holding my hand, I know she's worried with me but hello I'm a lot worried to her.
"Why you didn't go to France?" She didn't look at me because she's driving but I know that she's thinking of how to explain everything to me.
"I just really can't.. Imagine myself without you in my arms.. That's why I decided to take my college here." Lena told me, I frowned hearing her reason.
"But that's your dream!! Cooking is your passion!! Why would you give up those things for me?!"
"Simple! I'm in love with you! That's it!" I was surprised of her tone. I was hurt seeing Lena getting mad at me..
We had a very awkward silence after our argument. When we arrived at my house, I unbuckled my seatbelt and started to open the car door. Lena took my hand before going out in her car.
"Sum wait, I'm sorry" I nodded and left her without saying a word, Lena also started her engine and drive home.
"What's the problem?" I look up to see who's talking and saw dad at the front door.
"We just had a fight" Dad closed the door and leave the two of us outside, he sat on the floor of our front door I copied him and now we're sitting together.
"I miss this" I whispered.
"So.. What's your problem Sum?" He asked, maybe dad could help me figure out everything.
"We just had a fight.. I realized that I am no good for Lena. She chose me over her career and now she's suffering."
"You know what Sum, that's how love works. Sometimes you 're being dumb at your decisions in your life, everything has consequences. That's why you have to be careful in every step you make"
"But dad.. Everything I do, everything I say there's always someone being left out and being miserable."
"Maybe.. There is someone you don't want to let go?"
"How did you say so dad?"
"I just thought that there is something precious to you that you don't want to let go. That's why the people deserves you, your love and everything are affected." He sighed deeply while I on the other hand keep on listening. "Just like your dog Willie, when you were little, he died. And on the other day you met a stray dog, but you ignored because you can't let go of Willie. There are dogs who deserved to be loved by you but because of focusing on Willie. You never had a chance of being happy again with other dogs who deserve you. In short, you have to wake up and live the reality Sum". I cried after he said everything and hug him so tight.
Now I know why I'm still in this time leaping. Lena is really the one for me and I have to make everything just the way it is. Maybe, there are things that I have to change a little. And.. I have to let go of dad. It really hurts me a lot but he's right. I have to let things go, and I know I can't move forward if I keep on saving him.
For the very last time. I hug dad so tight and said I love you to him.
I have to make things just the way it is.
Thank you dad, for the very last time, you saved me.

I woke up scratching my eyes because the things I see right now is blurry. I carefully walk down the stairs because of my poor eyesight.
"Honey are you alright?" My mom asked and Van help me on the stairs.
"Yes mom, my eyesight is very poor I think I need glasses for it."

We went to the mall to buy eyeglasses for me. Dad excused me at the school and we had our short family bonding. I had a well-spent morning with my family especially to dad. We played in the arcade and eat our late breakfast in our favorite restaurant. And while we walk through the exit, I had a small talk with Van.
"Van.. I know that you're having a trouble with your school"
"How did you-?"
"I'm your sister Van. There's nothing wrong about you. Everyone is unique, and you have to be strong okay?" He nodded and we continue walking.

"You have glasses?!" Nancy, Lena and Ellen asked in unison, with a bit of shouting.
"Well it is obvious right"
"You're still cute" Lena said smirking at me.
"I know" And winked at her but our mini flirting is interrupted by Dylan.
"H-Hi Nancy, we have the same class can I walk with you?"
"Actually we got to go right Ellen, Lena?" I said and eyed the two, when they understood me they nodded and we left the two at the hallway. Nancy glared at us like we-have-to-talk-later-and-I-will-kill-the-three-of-you- look we laugh at her and continue walking down the hallway.
"They look perfect with each other" Lena said that made me smile, she said that in their wedding and it is kinda cute knowing that she is really happy with the two.
"Uhm guys, I think you have to go I just realized that I have to do something at the faculty room." Ellen said while we nodded as an answer and she left Lena with me.
We walk in the hallway and surprisingly there's no one in here but Lena and I, even if it's lunch time.
"Lena.." She didn't say a word so I continue talking. "Choose your passion, and I will be proud of you"

After school, I immediately went home to enjoy my last hours with my family. We all ate dinner, watch movie and we also played charade. When we felt the exhaustion because of our mini game, I saw the clock and it is 11:40pm. And everyone decided to go to their rooms.
"Dad.."
"Yes dear?" I didn't say a word, I only hug him so tight. Thank you dad, I will miss you.
