Chapter 99 - Do Not Disturb Me

Third Person’s POV (12 yrs. and 8 months old)

In the thick of swords and spears, Princess Lang revealed herself by jumping upwards in an arc to the side while brandishing her rapier in quick succession at the monsters below cutting them in the blink of an eye.

Allen followed as he parry an axe swing from an ogre, he pushed the ogre backwards, took a step back and thrust both swords forward in an x shape, cutting the ogre’s chest.

“Allen, Princess, combine your magic would you?” said Ken.

“I don’t know about that.” remarked Allen smirking.

“Humph!” -Princess Lang-

Both jumped at the center covering each other’s back. They both glanced at one another and nodded, before dashing forward creating a beeline for every monster in the area, after slashing about ten monsters each, both turned to the path.

Allen repositioned his blades downwards and did a semi crouch position, while Princess Lang repositioned her rapier in front of her chest also in a semi crouch position.

“Water Magic: Water Flow!”

“Royal Magic: Dragon’s Ascent!”

Both spells were casted simultaneously, as Allen rushed forward, stopped in the middle of the masses and jumped upwards bringing with him a rush of a water geyser from below in one second knocking everyone into the air.

Princess Lang dashed forward in one swift motion right in front of Allen as he was about to make his geyser and slashed forward, the slash sent out a crescent shaped wind blade and when it struck an ogre, the spell exploded into a chain of flames in front of the explosion.

“Beautiful!” remarked Ken. The two smiled and resumed fighting while backing up from the path.

Riyah blinked in front of the two and did a vertical slap down of her fan sending a burst of wind toppling over the ogres that chased after Princess Lang and Allen. She then proceeded to dance in the battlefield as she gracefully and fluidly handled her fan.

Parrying, twisting to the side, dodging by parry, sliced off occasional extended arms of werewolves with the edges of her fan, all the while maintaining a focused state. Ken smiled in astonishment.

“You don’t have to tell me anything, I got this.” Ken stared dumbfounded at Riyah’s statement into the link, he watched as she waved at his direction for a moment then gave a thumbs up, all the while she smiled at him.

She jumped up called out her wings and chanted…

“Ice Magic: Arctic Frost!” she held out her hand creating a magic circle in front and conjured five frost orbs on the path in a line, the frost orbs detonated sending ice shards in a close proximity to the blast, piercing every monster caught in its proximity,

Leaving frost energy that swirled in place of the explosion, the shockwave disoriented the monsters for awhile, and that was plenty enough time for the frost energies to fully charge and target five orcs,

Turning their body into complete ice before breaking like salt on the ground.

“*GASP!!!* You copied an effect of one of my spells!” Ken exclaimed staring with shining eyes at Riyah’s display of power.

“What can I say, I learned from the best.” remarked Riyah, she landed back down on the ground and backed up on the front line.

“Can’t let you take all the glory now can I?” said Saber as he rushed out of the frontlines and punched one werewolf in the chest sending it flying backwards.

He then took a stance where he trailed both his hands in a yin yang pattern, shadow energies gathering within the distance between his palms, right hand palm facing downwards, and left hand palm facing upwards.

“Shadow Magic: Shadow Arts of the Shade.” the shadow energies dispersed only to reappear again on Saber’s eyes like flowing visible black wind, his figure suddenly vanished into thin air, all the while the monsters in front of him fell down one by one.

Saber’s speed had increased along with his strength hence the monsters getting torn or twisted into hideous shapes with his precise pounding and twisting of limbs of the monsters one by one, the people watching could not follow with the speed he exerted,

As if he had gone and disappeared into the day, but anyone trained with keen eyes could vaguely follow Saber’s movements as he tore through both werewolf and ogres alike. Only after his hundredth kill did he stop and returned to his initial position with bloodied hands.

He loosened the bandages soaked with blood and threw them to the side while wiping the excess blood with a piece of cloth he took out from his pocket that he too threw aside. Everyone watching this ordeal, stared dumbfounded at this seemingly aloof beast,

Unbelieving of what had transpired, pausing them from action.

“Uh, you guys do know that there are still monsters before us right?” said Wilbert.

*GRRRR*

*ROAR!!!*

“Oh right, everyone, DEFEND!” shouted Allen, and the battle resumed. Saber took out another piece of bandage on his pockets and wrapped his two hands while everyone was occupied, and returned fighting as if those things didn’t happen before.

Ken shook his head a little, thinking of how unexpected that was, now he only needs to look at what Wilbert will do. He seems to be a bit reluctant, he thought.

“Wilbert, you’re not gonna join in on the fun?” he asked. Wilbert’s attention perked, looked at Ken for a moment then resumed parrying the werewolf’s claws.

“Maybe later.” He replied.

“Okay.” Ken returned watching the flow of monsters at each side, checked the groups in charge of taking care of stray monsters and they seem to be doing just fine, swiftly taking care of either one or two werewolf and or ogres, then silently retreating for cover.

“Sword Style: Fang Spike!” Ken’s attention reverted back to the right side, watching as Wilbert wielded his sword, striked once in an arc slicing a werewolf in half, dashed forward, his sword connecting with an axe of an ogre, but the axe broke and his sword plunged through the ogre, passing it by.

“HAP! HYAH!” Wilbert swung his sword downwards sending a wave of light forward incinerating anyone caught in the path. Wilbert’s arms could be noted to be letting off steam from the concentrated energy he just released.

He slowly backed up from his initial position turning his back from the path. Suddenly the space behind him distorted in black substance and out came an individual draped in black robes.

Everyone’s sense perked up in attention as the black robed person took out a dagger, and rushed forward to stab Wilbert behind.

“RUN!” -Allen-

“GET AWAY!” -Princess Lang-

“WIL-!” everyone with bated breath watched as the scenario played out oh so slowly before them, Wilbert slowly turning around, his friends reaching out for him.

The dagger now nearing Wilbert’s figure, successfully stabbed his sides. Everyone at the right side stood still, both in shock, and fright of the situation.

Allen blinked his eyes once and there he found, that no blood was spilling out of Wilbert’s form. Wilbert opened his eyes, looked downwards, and noticed that there was no blade sticking into his side, just some… distorted… huh?

“You will not harm my son!” shouted Lorna at the side near where Ken was, holding out her hand forward while her orb floated beside her, she waved her hand away, and the black robed figure flew into the air.

But Lorna did not stop there, she conjured dark blades out of nowhere, and stabbed them into the figure of the robed person, killing it mid-air before falling to the trees, never to be seen.

The group sighed in relief of what transpired, while Lorna blinked to Wilbert’s side, hugged him close to her body, frantically checking over him.

‘Phew, good thing auntie was there.’ thought Ken to himself.

‘WHAT THE?!’ -Ken-

“Ice Magic: WINTER’S CURSE!” casted Ken abruptly, covering everyone in a layer of snow all of a sudden, they all stood silent for a moment pondering what just happened, then in a split second the coldness of the snow seeped into their skin making them shake it off in a hurry.

“Don’t you DARE DISTURB ME!” said Ken still floating in the air, everyone looked at him as he flung another figure in black robes, traces of frost could be seen all over its body, with his right hand, and threw him to the wall he created, suddenly a portal appeared behind the person and teleported them to the center of the army.

Ken snapped his fingers and about fifty portals appeared above the battalion’s of the demon army, sending down fifty black robed individuals, with traces of frost visible all over their body. Immediately after they all fell down on the ground, a burst of ice erupted from each individual coating monsters in a layer of frost.

Suddenly, every monster started to fight themselves, the situation turned into a bloodbath at the sheer strength and speed those monsters tore at each other, all the while their eyes had turned bloodshot red, until death.

Ken silently floated downwards and softly landed on the ground, his friends, jumped in front of him, his eyes closed. They all glanced at what is happening and watched as the monsters tore themselves apart.

They each looked at Ken knowing full well that his outburst earlier caused all this.

“What happened?” asked Allen out of nowhere.

“I gave them a little something for pissing me off, again.” replied Ken, opening his eyes, and revealing blue iris instead of black, the color slowly faded out, returning Ken’s eye color from before.

“What exactly?” said his father walking behind him.

“I made them fight each other with a spell.” said Ken, he sighed and looked straight in front, noticing a burning gaze aimed at him, all the while everyone were consumed of the thought of that one spell that made the monsters fight themselves savagely.

They all took note not to offend this person, or who knows what would happen to them. The bloodbath in front still raging on.
