Chapter 109 - Contrasting

Third Person’s POV (12 yrs. and 8 months old)

Klein stared in disbelief at the huge amount of energy this explosion had caused as his figure disappeared in the light as well, leaving nothing in a 200 meter radius.

A dome of light had formed before it slowly disappeared as it was formed by the explosion, and everyone on the cliff, all the magical beasts, mountain lions, and pack wolves, wondered what that explosion was as it was too bright for them.

They expected the explosion to cause immeasurable damage to the forest, but when they opened their eyes, they in turn saw, the forest returned to its original state, as if a battle hadn’t been waged here moments ago.

Klein and the group opened their eyes only to see that they are still intact, they frantically checked themselves and the others, when Felsin, Allen, Celine, Wilbert, and Lyn suddenly arrived out of mid-air falling on Klein.

“Ooof!” the four looked at their surroundings confused, and when Felsin checked on his three patients he was shocked to see them all well and healed up, even their clothes where fixed, or should we say battle armor, even the others had their wounds and bruises and clothes fixed and healed.

“Excuse me, please get off me.” said Klein. The four quickly scrambled off of Klein as Klein quickly rose and dusted off dirt on his robes.

“Pardon.” said Allen and bowed his head to his father. Klein shrugged it off and ruffled Allen’s short hair.

“We have pressing matters at hand first.” Allen looked at his father, not knowing what to say. “Look” Klein added, and everyone looked at the direction Klein pointed at.

In the mid-air, was Ken, hair casted down, in the color of silver, his side facing the group, hand held on the demon lord’s neck, as he writhed up and about from the grip.

“Ken?” asked Allen to no-one, thinking that nobody heard, he did not expect Ken to look at his direction, smiled and waved. Allen gulped at the sudden oppressive aura his friend emitted for a split second.

Ken returned his gaze on the demon lord on his hand and threw him to the ground like a rag doll, creating cracks.

The group wondered what is happening, before anyone could interact or speak up, Ken abruptly landed on the demon, burying him further down the ground.

Ken clutched Rize’s neck again and raised him up, once everyone gazed at the demon lord’s form, they found countless wounds on his body and blood flowing out from deep wounds.

“Arcane Magic: Telekinesis.” a small magic circle just the size of his fist formed beside his arm, issuing the demon lord to levitate in the air but constricted.

“Do send my regards to the Demon King, Demon Lord Rize, that is if you know me.” said nonchalantly as he used his left arm to hug his body and his right arm resting on his left arm, with his hands caressing his face with a mocking expression.

“W-Who are y-you..” shouted asked Rize.

“Now, that is not how you treat a supreme entity, no wonder you got defeated soundlessly by this vessel, oh, you do not know? Then allow me to introduce myself. I am Luna.” Ken paused for a dramatic effect as the people waited for him to introduce his title.

“That’s all, now to send you off to the demon realm.” The demon lord stared in absolute disbelief at this person that suddenly changed temperament, as if this person is toying with him, coupled with the fact that this is another persona, confuses him even more.

“Oh, wait, you can always visit us six years after right? By then, I hope you’re strong enough to defeat my vessel, and do invite the King as well, Okay? Tata.” Ken wave his right arm and a magic circle the color of black formed below the demon lord.

“Dark Moon Magic: Benign Umbran Caress.” Rize’s eyes widened as he was familiar with the spell, a spell that was supposed to be of legend in their realm, the spell that summons the deepest darkness in the demon realm even the Demon King could not summon.

In that instant, black silver threads flew out of the magic circle and proceeded to cocoon the demon lord inside, utterly covering his form, the threads then abruptly dragged the demon lord into the magic circle, making him disappear in sight.

Just as the demon lord was gone, the demon gate went unstable as there was no more outside source supplying it, it then proceeded to break down in on itself and finally imploded, destroying all life around it, even the trees were not spared.

The group stared in disbelief at the sequence of events that happened so abruptly, others could not believe that it was over -Klein and his group-, others were more concerned of the damaged forest -Ros and the other new arrived magical beasts-.

“Now there’s no need to be alarmed.” said Ken scaring the group as they jumped at the sudden voice of Ken behind them, they turned and it’s still the same form Ken took, silver hair, glowing silver eyes, and…. What are those type of clothing?

Ken was wearing modern clothes of both black and white, neither contrasting, instead complimenting each other. The group stared in confusion at the unfamiliar clothing unconsciously.

“I don’t think I’ll be needing to introduce myself anymore since you bunch have heard me earlier, but before that, Healing Magic: Rejuvenation, Cure.” Ken held out his hand to the direction of the damage forest and a huge magic circle the color of green and the radius of 300 meters appeared.

Slowly, life returned to the damaged forest, cleansing and rejuvenating the land to its former glory.

“You said your name is Luna, what is your business here?” asked Klein as he was the first one to snap out of the trance the rejuvenating forest did to them.

“Nothing much, just thought that I’d come by and visit and take a look at the world I was born in, more importantly, I come to deliver a message.” said Luna, and being near him made his voice stand out as the voice did not sound feminine, but masculine, with a hint of nobility and a touch of wisdom.

“What is it? Is it something related to my son?” this time, Alfred asked. Luna turned to him, nodded and said…

“Your son has done a remarkable job at being my vessel, but I wish to see my former creation restored to its former glory, you with the name of Harth, of the Moon Wolf beasts.” Immediately, everyone’s attention turned to Harth, just beside Ras and Nazir, especially the term Luna had called him.

“Assist my vessel, find and unite with your other Moon Wolf brethren here in this world, so that I may bestow upon your kin, my blessing, the symbol of the ‘Eternal Night’.” Harth felt compelled to nod, subconsciously nodding at Luna’s order.

“Very good, now, I must be leaving before my vessel wakes up. Remember father and mother of this child, take care of him, or there will be more dire consequences of the crimes of the past.” Alfred and Lyn nodded shakily at Luna’s commanding tone, they felt their body shiver from the threat that Luna hade bestowed upon them.

Especially of what ‘Luna’ said about the consequences of the past.

“Don’t worry, I know that you both will do a good job at taking care of my vessel, just remember to do the same things as you have done in the past, with all that, I bid you farewell.” The silver color on Ken’s hair and eyes disappeared in that instant as well as his modern clothing that returned to his battle armor.

Alfred and Lyn did not know what to feel at the moment, as they both got themselves lost in thought of the situation they were given, meanwhile, Ken landed on the ground, opened his eyes for a moment and immediately fell down head first.

“Ken!” shouted his friends.
