CLAP.

I clapped my hands sharply, the sound echoing through the room, intending to seize their attention. However, the startled expressions on both their faces told me that I had succeeded perhaps a bit too well.

"Well, you can decide your answer later," I murmured, trying to ease the tension that hung in the air like a heavy shroud. "Right now, your upcoming exams are the top priority. Persia, distract her again, and I'll make good on my threat."

Persia immediately retreated to her chair, her expression a mix of fear and compliance as she raised her hands defensively.

"So, maths is up first," I mused, more to myself than anyone else. "What's your favourite topic?"

Lefiya hesitated, her response trailing off into silence as her hair shifted to a sombre shade of grey.

"Fine, let's focus on a few topics that'll help you with constructing magic circles," I decided. "Circles, triangles, trigonometry, arithmetic, algebra, and sequences and series should do."
