My Running Nightmare

Renee woke up and went through her daily routine of getting Christian ready for school and seeing him off. She turned her music on and cleaned the house. She fixed herself lunch and sat down with her computer in her lap. She had checked for a message from Kevin for the past couple of days, but he hadn’t responded. This time when she logged on, she noticed Kevin was online and there was a message from him. She read it and sighed. 


“Kevin, I have told you that my situation isn’t as simple as leaving. Don’t you think if it was that simple that I would have left by now? I never imagined my life would turn out like this, but it has. If I could go back in time and change it, I would, but that just isn’t possible. There is so much I want to say to Alex, but I can’t. I can’t go there. I have to let those thoughts and feelings go. I need to get over them.”
