Chapter 7: Fateful encounter 2.
" Hey, is that Scarlet?" Lucas wondered, staring at a distant figure.
" Who?" Mel asked following his line of sight.
" The strawberry blonde, over there with the weird blonde guy," he said pointing toward a couple, bit bit further than where they stood.
The girl looked gorgeous, fair-skinned and her actions were graceful from a-far, too.
'How graceful would she look from near-by, My! she screams of etiquesy!! ' Mel wondered and looked at the guy beside the girl.
He was equally handsome to Lucas the - Adonis in the human realm, maybe?
But, never mind...
" Wait right here, for me, would you? I'll just be back." Lucas said and walked towards them.' Where is he if not with them?' he thought, leaving her behind.' What is he up to now?'
As Mel saw him leave she turned and observed her surroundings, she never really got a chance to do that yet.
It was a really beautiful garden, brimming with wildflowers and big trees highlighted with low lights from the setting sun.
She sighed at how beautiful it looked when suddenly, she saw the last person she would wanna see in her life, her so-called best friend, Dian. She was roaming around searching for something or someone...
Mel smirked and followed her as she was curious about what Dian was up to.
' It's too shameful if I don't find something curious for myself.' Mel grinned following after her ex-best friend.
But as usual: Curiosity kills the cat!!!
She followed her and ran into the bushes to hide from her, to her luck she saw something crawl out of the bush near her, like a reptile instead of Dian!
Mel jumped from fright, gasping loudly.
"Aaaa..., sh*t!" a scream filled the air.
'Wait, I didn't let out a scream!! Who was it ?' she turned around to just see that she had stepped on a someone's foot.
She was wearing her favorite, black high-heeled boots.
' Ouch! ' she flinched being sorry for him and lifted her head slowly, her expression apologetic.
" I'm so sorry ." she apologized instantly and saw his face. ' Shit ' she cursed inwardly grunting.
'Maybe my luck is too good today that I ran into the two people, whom I never wanted to meet for a life time.' she thought sarcastically and sighed apologizing again.
' Fu**... I need to get out of here, soon.'
" I'm really sorry. I didn't do it intentionally, Rochester," she repeated monotonously.
" Oh so, it's you. No wonder- if it was planned. Do you think that I'll let you off hook so easily after you hurt me?" he scoffed, adding, " Don't try to act all pitiful and sweet, you can never be Dian."
Mel chuckled humorlessly," Who the hell told you that, I want to be a jerk - a scum who acted all along and betrayed her best friend?"
" Nah, I'm good. " she snapped at him before leaving.
Hearing that, his face turned red, due to anger and sent the guys tailing behind him, to chase after her.
Seeing that she was being chased, she ran trying to find a place to hide from those hideous, ridiculous as*holes.
' Ha! they're just as stupid as they look!! If I wasn't the one being chased I would certainly be laughing at them. Hmph. So irritating!!'
She harumphed, suddenly tripping over her own legs and falling into a bush.
'How stupid is that!! She - dares to mock people!!- Joke's on her. '
" Hey where is she?" one guy asked as he forcedly breathed looking on either of his sides.
" Maybe she went that way." another said pointing in the opposite direction.
" Yeah, let's go." the others agreed and ran in that direction.

Buffet hall:
" Where are those two?" Steph asked entering the hall as she couldn't find Mel and Lucas.
Hayden looked around and shrugged," They are not here, maybe they met Scarlet and the others outside."
Alex frowned and looked around and found Dian's rushed entrance from the bushes.
" I'll be back," she muttered, walking towards that opening.
"So, what are you planning to do as we're alone now?" Hayden asked playfully, whispering into Steph's ear, as soon as they were left alone.
' Hey! What? We should mind our girl in every situation, even if our own friends go missing!!'
