The world dungeon. A mysterious construct. It is spoken of in myth and legend. It stands tall, reaching through the clouds above, yet none can enter.  

No one knows what lies within. It has stood quietly for generation after generation. 

But now it stirs. 

Only a hundred people can walk the dungeon. To leave it, they must conquer it.  

 

Or die trying. 




Note: Any character resemblance to actual people is coincidental, all work is original. On the off chance I figure out how to put pictures in the story, any works you see were more than likely found with a google search. If the work belongs to you let me know and I give credit/take it down. That being said I'll mark my own work.

Thousand Floor World Dungeon

The barrier around the portal had disappeared. 


We passed through the portal and arrived back with the rest of the group. 


The group clamored around asking questions loudly as the portal closed. 


Leon seemed to be struggling for a few moments before finally saying, "Everyone else was killed in a goblin ambush." 


I left Leon behind to explain things and went to the first bedroom on the right. 


After setting her on the bed I turned to find a message on the desk. 


[Would you like to set this as your personal room Zachary?] 


I selected the yes option that appeared underneath it after reading it. 


A stone appeared on the desk and a barrier formed over the door. 


'A magic door? This one's a simple design... Yet the thickness of that mana is unbelievable. I've never seen a door with even half that thickness.' I thought as I picked the stone up. 


The message changed after picking it up.

'What is this? Dungeon Companion? I guess I'll find out later.' I thought as I looked over the rewards. 


I set the matter to the side and touched the stone to the door. The barrier disappeared, allowing me to open it. I headed straight for the first shop. 


I directly purchased staffless casting from specialties for 2 S, and grabbed mana drain and qi drain for 1 P each. I then headed to the next room. I grabbed a pair of fingerless black-iron gloves for 10 C. I saved my now 3 E however, still waiting to buy a more expensive enhancement. After doing this I began to balance my attributes out. I withstood the brief burst of pain as I looked over my status again. 


Skills: Basic Swordplay, Fireball, Lesser Heal 


Perks: Appraisal I, Mana Drain I, Vital Boost, Qi Drain I 


Specialties: Familiar Summon, Staffless Casting 


Enhancements: Demonification, Humanization 


Equipment: Basic Mage Robe, Basic Mage Staff, Basic Leather Armor, Basic Leather Boots, Crude Goblin Knife × 4, Fingerless Black-Iron Gloves, Simple Iron Sword, Simple Wooden Bow, Simple Quiver (Iron Arrow × 20) 


'At level 15 I can get a sub-class. I know a handful that I can get quite easily, but I don't know what I should get first given the circumstances. I'll have to put some more thought into it.' I thought. 


I started running through the list of sub-classes I knew, slowly eliminating them one by one. 


There was a knock on the door at some point, but I ignored it for the time being. 


'At level 15 I can also start accumulating potential points, which will allow me start regaining my previous status. I'll also be able to use my personal sword style instead of this basic swordplay crap.' I thought as I looked over my status once more.
