Raksia
After a full day of dealing with devil and demon nobility, I was tired. By now some of the nobles had realized Zachary was missing, and had begun to stir up trouble. With a sigh I entered my chambers.
"I hope you return soon Zachary. Without your support I don't know how long I can keep the nobility in line." I murmured as I changed into a nightgown.
"Ellen, have a bath prepared in the morning. Get me a bowl of soup as well." I said to the maid behind me.
The maid gave a short bow before leaving.
A knock at the door drew my attention a few minutes later.
"Enter." I said.
The set of double doors opened and a demon with a wide stature entered. He had short grey hair and hazel eyes. A scar ran down his left cheek. His coat hung open revealing a lack of a shirt and well-defined abs. A black iron greatsword was fastened to his back. The heavy footsteps sounded out as he approached.
"My Queen. By royal decree I am to take on all of Lord Zachary's duties in his absence. I will be in the room down the hallway if you need me, my Queen." The man said as kneeled down.
"Remember, you're only keeping the seat warm for him until he comes back Knight Commander Andreas. Now leave us." I said as the maid came back in with a bowl of soup.
"Yes, my Queen." Andreas said before leaving.
I took the soup after Andreas left.
"Hells below I hate that man Ellen. If it weren't for the fact that his abilities are invaluable, I would have executed him long ago!" I said, getting a small chuckle from Ellen.
"My Queen, if you had your way, over half the nobility would be executed." Ellen joked back.
With a slight smile I said, "You're right, they're all useless after all."
