Rain

"Hey, Jimin." I said on the phone.

"Where you at? It's already about to be midnight and your not home." He asked with concern.

I said "I'm sleeping over at my friends house so don't wait for me."

Jimin said "What friend? I'm your bestfriend you should be sleeping over here with me."

I giggled and said "Oh shut up you pervert."

Jimin laughed really loud in the phone and said "Alright, have fun. I'll text you or call you tomorrow."

I said "Ok bye."

Jimin shouted in the phone "I LOVE YOU MAI! GOODNIGHT!"

I laughed and said "I love you too Jimin and don't get attacked at night by the ghost."

I could sense Jimin stopped smiling and said "Why did you remind me of ghost? You know I don't like ghost."

I chuckled and said "Bye."

I looked in the mirror and sighed before leaving the restroom half naked. This was so uncomfortable that I didn't even want to leave.

I stepped out the restroom and looked at Suga. He kept typing and didn't turn to look at me. I felt like he would turn any second to try to look at me once I walked to the couch. I didn't want to go over there and I didn't want him to look at me. At this moment I realized that I was so insecure of my body and I was afraid he would laugh at me. If some how he saw my stretch marks.

Suga said without looking at me "I know your there."

I gulped as I made my way to his couch. I didn't take my eyes off of him just to yell at him if he looked at my body but then I remembered he had Alina. I sat down and put my phone on the floor. I got the blanket and put it over my body.

"Won't you sleep?" He asked.

I asked "I will wait until you sleep."

Suga chuckled and said "I'll be done around 4 A.M. can you handle it?"

I frowned and asked "Why so long?"

Suga said "I won't go to work tomorrow. So, I want to have all my documents ready for the other doctor that will take over my place while I'm gone."

"What? No, go to work I'll stay here. I'll be fine." I said feeling bad.

Suga said "I don't trust you. You'll take this opportunity to go running back to your job and see Jimin."

My mouth went wide open how I hadn't even thought about that but it was a great idea.

"How old are you?" I asked before laying down.

Suga looked at me and said "I'm 28."

I laid down, pulled the blanket over me and fixed the pillow. I asked "You don't have an air conditioner?"

Suga said "I don't really turn it on because it's to cold at the hospital and I just want to come home to a warm place. I can turn on the fan instead if you want."

I said "Yeah that's fine. I should cool down later."

Suga turned on the fan and went back to working. I tried to stay up because I was terrified he would do something to me. Eventually, my tiredness won over my heavy eyes and stubbornness.

After, a few hours past I sat up quickly and looked around. I didn't see Suga and I got scared how dark it was. I stood up and saw his laptop closed. Maybe he's in his room I thought before getting up to turn on a light. I walked over to his kitchen and turned on the light. I heard the door close and I looked up. Suga was coming out of the restroom and he looked at me.

"What's wrong are you ok?" He quickly asked.

I said "I can't sleep with the light completely off I guess I'm just used to some kind of light."

Suga said "It's fine I just didn't know."

I raised my eyebrows and said "Wow you didn't know. That's the first."

I chuckled as I walked back to the sofa and stood by it.

Suga said "It's already 3:48 I think it's time to apply the cream on you."

I looked at him kind of scared and asked "Now?"

Suga said "Yes now. Medicine does it's magic during night. So, whenever you wake up you feel better because you're relaxed."

"I feel better though." I said.

Suga said "Yeah cause you fell asleep and forgot about your body."

I stuttered as I said "But I'm not fully changed. I-"

Suga said "Sit down and put the blanket over you. I'll just apply on your back and you can do the rest. I'll close my eyes when I'm done or you can do it now."

I starred at him and said "I'll let you do that first."

I pulled his shirt up and made sure his blanket covered me well. He sat on his knees and put cream over my back.

"I'm done. Have a goodnight." He said heading to the couch.

I didn't say anything as I went to his restroom and covered my skin with the cream. By the time I came out Suga didn't have a shirt on but his waist was covered by his blanket. I guess he was sleeping in his shorts only but I didn't stare at him anymore. I went to the couch and blew air at myself. I imaged myself in Antarctica so I would cool down before trying to sleep.

The sun was shining on my face and I couldn't help but to turn around in the couch. I started to feel cold, with my eyes closed I touched here and there to look for the blanket. I opened one eye slowly and saw no blanket. I turned a little and saw it on the ground. I pouted and grabbed it. I glanced up at Suga and he was facing me but his eyes were closed. I turned my back to him and closed my eyes again. I guess he was awake because he waited awhile to get up to take a shower. After, he went into the restroom to take a shower I stood up to fold our blankets and look in his refrigerator. I taught after getting out of the shower that I would eat breakfast. I went back to the sofa and waited for him to come out.

"Good morning." He said with a raspy voice as he came out the restroom already changed.

I nodded my head and went into the restroom. He knocked on the door and my heart thumped louder than usual.

"Hey there's a new tooth brush on the counter and you can use my shampoo. The bar of soap is unscented so don't worry. Also, don't shower with really hot water or you'll irritate your skin." He said from outside the door and left.

Before, I took off my clothes and got in to take a shower. I went to brush my teeth and undo my hair. Very light warm water hit my sensitive skin and the water seemed to hurt at first but I got used to the touch. I looked at the back of my hands and the marks were hardly noticeable now. I couldn't help but gasp of happiness.

"Mai, is everything ok?" Suga asked from outside and I said "Yes."

I couldn't help but to stare at my hands how they looked so much better. I could hardly feel the bumps and I loved the feeling so much. After, I was done taking a shower I got out and held the towel tight over my body.

I looked in the mirror and asked in my head "What will I wear now?"

"Are you done?" Suga's voice didn't sound like earlier I guess he wasn't sleepy anymore.

I said "Yeah."

Suga said "Ok I got you something."

I said "Oh."

"Open the door." He ordered.

I starred at the handle door and whispered "This dude better not rape me."

Suga shouted "Mai! I would never! Could you just trust me for once."

I opened it a little and he handed me the bag. He walked away and I brought it in.

I widen my eyes and whispered "What the....underwear and a bra? How did he know? But no shirt or pants?"

I sighed and changed into what I had. He knocked again and said "I got you some of my sweatpants for now and I just got another one of my shirts for you."

I opened the door a little and grabbed them out of his hand. I quickly closed the door and looked at them with a smile. I brushed my hair and walked out.

"When did you buy this?" I asked going to the kitchen.

Suga was eating and said "I got them right now."

I asked "So, you talked to my boss already?"

Suga said "Yes I already did and the nurse will fax the paper to him. You should be fine so don't worry."

I said "I'm going to pay you back some day."

Suga said "I don't really need your money but it would be nice if we could be friends."

I got some cereal and sat down across from him.

Suga asked "Why don't you like doctors?"

I started to eat and ignore him.

Suga asked "Doctors have hurt you some how?"

I was about to speak but heard my phone ring from the floor. I walked to my phone and looked at it nervous.

"What's up? Why so many messages?" I asked.

Jimin said "I have to leave out of town and I'll be back after the weekend."

I said very concerned "Are you ok? Want me to help you?"

Jimin said "My mother got sick and I just want to go take care of her."

I sighed and said "Be careful and be good."

Jimin said "Don't worry. I'll be in touch."

I hissed and said "I dought it. When your with your mom you forget about the world."

Jimin chuckled and said "You know I love my mommy."

"If something happens call me! I said looking out the window.

Jimin said "I'm leaving now. I'll try to keep in touch by message bye love you."

"I love you." I said kind of sad.

Suga asked "Is everything ok?"

I looked away from the window and said "Yeah everything's fine."

Suga said "Come finish eating."

I said "Well, I'm going home after this."

Suga said "Then I'll go with you."

I sat down and asked "What? Why?!"

Suga said "I need to keep an eye on you a little longer."

Before, eating a spoon of cereal I said "Wow."

Suga said "Prepare because we're going out."

"Where?" I asked.

Suga stood up and walked off as he ignored me.

I continued to eat and looked around as I did. He finally came out and changed into shorts. I went to wash my dish and went to him.

"Ready?" He asked.

"I don't have another choice, do I?" I asked with a square smile.

Suga chuckled and said "Let's go."

I went with him and I asked "What about Alina?"

Suga said "I would invite her but she's working."

"Oh I didn't know." I said as we made it into his car and he drove off.

The ride wasn't to far and I looked out the window. Looked like a mall and I just went inside with Suga.

"I wanted to take you to the Coex Aquarium." He said with a big smile.

I didn't smile back and just followed behind. He paid our tickets and we went inside. My eyes roamed around the very unique aquarium. I thought with a smile "Wow a aquarium in a mall that's something you don't really see in the states."

I went to each tank to see what fish I would encounter or sea creature would surprise me. Suga followed behind me examining me and the sea animals. I knew he didn't trust me but I didn't care.

"Doctor Min Yoongi! It's so nice to see you!" A young woman approached him with her daughter as she was very happy to see him.

Suga turned to look at them and squated down to talk to the little girl "Hey little one. How have you been?"

I looked at his friendly smile the same one he gave me when we first met. I didn't want to listen to their conversation so I continued my tour. My eyes widen as I saw star fish in a container that I could touch. I looked right by that tank and saw sea horses. I felt myself falling in love with this place. I couldn't help but smile when I finally saw sea turtles. I used to have one as a pet but it sadly left the house when the door was left open. I never saw her again but she was really nice. I continued to walk and got a little lost as I saw what I didn't want to remember "Jellyfish."

*Flashback*

"Come on Mai! Are you going to get in or not? Stop taking pictures and come have fun!" My friend from afar yelled.

"I don't know why but I just feel like I don't want too." I shouted at her so she could hear me.

"We didn't just come over here for nothing! Come in now!" She shouted back.

"Fine!" I said as I made my way to her.

She splashed water on my face and I gasped. "Hey! I haven't got used to the water yet." I said with a pout.

She said "Just sit down slowly and then wet your head."

"Your right." I said as I slowly sat down to get used to the coldness.

I frowned and she asked "What's wrong?"

I said "I don't know I thought I felt something touch my foot."

She tried to look down but she couldn't. "I can't really see nothing. Are you sure?"

I tried not to worry her as I said "It's probably trash that people are always throwing in here."

"Ugh! I hate how some people come and do that! Like get out and throw it in the trash!" She said very frustrated.

I chuckled and said "Let's not talk-"

"What?" She quickly looked at me as she asked sense I stopped speaking.

I stuttered "I don't know I felt something."

She stood up to walk closer to me but that's when I screamed.

"IT HURTS!" I shouted in so much pain.

She rushed me out of the ocean and I threw myself on the sand. Now, I couldn't move my right leg and right arm.

I looked up and said "Help me to the car please!"

She panicking asked "What the hell happened?!"

I could hardly sit in the passenger seat and I shouted "DRIVE ME HOME!"

She shouted "NO I'LL TAKE YOU TO THE HOSPITAL SO A DOCTOR CAN SEE YOU!"

I shouted back "NO I'M FINE!"

She hissed and said "Your crazy look at your arm it's getting really inflated and red!"

"I don't care just take me home." I begged her in so much pain.

She helped me out the car and I started to twitch uncontrollably.

She said "Dude a freakin jellyfish stung you!"

I got on my bed all wet and didn't let my legs or arms touch anything. It burned and hurt so bad.

She said "Dude I got this before and there's no cure! Your going to be like this a month! I'm so sorry! I shouldn't have brought you there."

I said in a very painful tone "It's fine. I'll be ok."

She left and I couldn't stop twitching the whole night. I couldn't wear nothing that touched my skin because it was something I couldn't live through. The marks of that jelly fish that left on both on my thighs front and back were gone after one month. It left it's prints on my arms too but they left after three weeks though. I looked up in the internet and talked to others about what I could have done but they said "Go to the doctor or some would say there's no cure." I was used to people saying that but I wasn't going to let no doctor touch me again to say no cure.

I snapped out of my flashback as Suga asked "Why every time I find you your daydreaming about something that makes you sad?"

I didn't notice how I had a tear on my cheek and he wiped it off. I looked at the jellyfish and glanced back at Suga.

"Sometimes I see things and they bring back memories." I gave a weak smile to him.

Suga sighed and said "I'm really trying to get you to forget but I think I'm doing this all wrong. I mean I am a doctor after all but not a therapist."

I tried to motivate him for an unknown reason but I said "No it's not you. It's me. So, don't worry about it."

Suga smiled and said "Let's go some where else, instead."

I nodded as we left the place and we went to the Starfield Library. I widen my eyes as how huge the place was.

"Are they real?!" I asked with an amazed expression on my face.

He looked at me and then at the books. "Yeah they're are. People come here to take pictures, study, read or hang out." He said looking around the big library.

I walked away and started to look around. Suga walked another way but it was to talk to Alina. Now, every time he talked to her I would think about Jimin but we were just bestfriends and that's it. Even though sometimes we acted like a couple just to fool some people. I went to go take a seat with a book in my hand that I had checked out and started to read it. Whenever, Suga was done talking he went to go pick out a few books to take home. I walked to him to see which did he get but half of them were about doctor stuff which turned off my curiosity.

Suga asked "Ready to go?"

I said with a smile "Yeah let's go."

Suga said "It's already noon so what do you want to eat."

"Cheese." I sadly said.

Suga shouted upset "Mai! No cheese I told you."

"I know it's just I love cheese." I said really upset.

Suga said "Pick something else."

I said "Let's just stop at a hot dog stand and eat that. I don't want anything fancy. I just want something simple."

Suga smirked and said "I like that."

I looked around the place as we tried to find the exit door and I couldn't help but to look at the clothes on sale.

Suga asked "Want something?"

I blushed as I looked down and answered "No I'm just looking."

Suga said "Want something just tell me."

I quickly responded "Get something for Alina not me."

Suga said "I would but she would be upset I didn't get her the whole store."

I laughed and asked "Why?"

Suga said "She loves everything and everyone. She's just so loving and charming, you know."

I looked at his eyes how they had seemed to have an extra spark in them. I just said "Mhm."

We got to his car and I looked at the dark cloudy sky.

"We should hurry I think it's going to rain." I said kind of scared of getting more sick.

Suga said "Don't worry I'll check you if you feel any symptoms."

I said "I don't want you or any doctor to check me. I'm fine!"

Suga came to a stop and I didn't wait any longer to get out the car. I made my order and then Suga. I kept my distance from Suga as I didn't want to speak to him.

"I was just kidding. I would never want you to get sick. I'm sorry." He said a yard away.

I didn't even look at him. I looked at the cars that passed by his parked car but it started to sprinkle a little.

Suga said "Get under the umbrella or your're officially going to get sick."

My stubborn self didn't listen to him. I didn't want to be near him at all or hear him. He waited on the hot dogs to be ready and I said in my head "Rain go away until I make it back to the car again."

I checked behind me to see if they were ready yet and Suga looked back at me. I looked away very upset and the rain fell hard out of no where. I gasped at how cold the rain was and how Suga instantly pulled me under the umbrella into his embrace. I quickly held on to him as I didn't want to slip out of his arms and hurt myself more than I already was.

"Why do you do this to me?" He whispered infront of my lips.

I breathe very hard and heavy how I almost lost my balance and now I was in his arms. I tried not to stare at his lips but it felt like that was the only thing that I could focus on.

The worst part was I didn't pull back and neither did he. "If I closed my eyes. What would happen?" I asked scared.

"The hot dogs are ready sir." The male figure said from behind us.

We slowly parted away and I felt awkward. I didn't dare to look him in the eyes but I wanted to act like we weren't about to kiss a few seconds ago. I didn't let him hand me my hot dog. I grabbed it and prepared it for myself. We stood there until we finished eating. We didn't say anything to eachother but I did feel his glances once in awhile. I couldn't read if it was in a good way or not. The only thing I knew was that I felt ashamed of myself. For even being so close to those cursed lips that would have been the end of my poor soul.

I knew putting to much ketchup was a bad idea but I loved mine stuffed with ketchup. Suga handed me a napkin when he was done eating his hot dog. I accepted it without looking at him except the hand that handed it to me. I finished eating and asked for a water. The rain stopped for a couple of seconds while we made it back to his car.

"Where are we going?" I asked trying to act really cool.

He quickly cut our conversation by saying "Home."

I starred out the window and watched the drops of rain run across the passenger window. Imagining like the parallel rain drops were having races against eachother. We made it back to his house and I took a seat. He went to his room and didn't even come out anymore. I really thought at this point that what happened earlier affected him alot. I knew it was an accident but still he was with Alina.

"I'll leave back to my apartment tonight and just act like I hadn't spent the night here." I said in my head. A few hours past and I heard his bedroom door open. I quickly laid down, put the book over my face and acted like I was asleep.

I felt him lean over the couch to confirm if I was asleep and that's when he went to the kitchen. He walked out of the apartment very quietly and that's when I sat up. I got my clothes and looked around to see if I didn't leave nothing behind. I saw a sticky note on the kitchen table that read "Out with Alina."

I got a pen and wrote on the other side of the sticky note. "I left to go with Jimin out of town. Thanks for your help! If I feel anything I'll stop by for a check-up."

I walked out of the apartment and went to mine. I started to call different apartments locations to see if I could find a cheaper place I could rent. I didn't even have money to buy myself some new clothes. The left over money was for very limited food.
