Moving

I called my boss and let him know I was quiting because I was moving away. He didn't even care and I didn't feel bad. I went to go see the new apartment I would be staying at. I called the movers company that would help transfer most of my belongs to the new place. The apartment was located on the other side of the city now and I knew it would be some where bad. The price was around six hundreds dollars but I knew I would end up with a few more extra dollars in my pocket. I sighed and went up the bad elevator that seemed to have gotten stuck when I tried to get off. I looked at all the door numbers until I reached the end of the hall. It really was the last door on the left and it was very quiet. It looked spooky but I didn't care. I went inside and it was a little smaller than my last apartment but it was just me so I didn't need to much space. I just needed my clothes and then I never needed to ever go back. I went back outside and went to go look for a job. I roamed my eyes around the stores around me to see where I would apply. Finally, I saw a cafe but I didn't want to apply there as I was a little scared if one day Suga went in there and saw me. But why would he be on this side of town though? I walked in and to my luck they were in much need of an employee. I couldn't stop smiling as how I was feeling very lucky and just happy. I stopped a taxi to go back to my old apartments to get my clothes and never go back. I finally made it and walked up to get my clothes. It was not much that I sticked in my small luggage before saying goodbye to the old place. I went to the owner of the apartments to turn in the keys but he stopped me of leaving.

"Mai, don't go. If you do the apartment probably won't be available anymore if you decide to go." He said before grabbing the keys out of my hand.

I said "That's fine. Don't worry maybe they need it more than me."

He nodded and I left the apartments. I got back in the taxi and went back to my new place. It was pretty dark in the hall and didn't even know if I had neighbors or not. I cleaned around and fixed my things. I got a phone call and it was Jimin.

"Hey." I said with a smile.

Jimin said "Mai I need you to do me a favor."

I frowned and asked "Is everything ok? What happened?"

Jimin said "I think I'm going to stay an extra day because my brother doesn't know if he'll make it in time. I was wondering if you could get me some clothes for an extra day. I'll pay you when I get there."

I said "Don't worry about the money. Is the key still in that plant by your door?"

Jimin said "Yeah it is."

I said "I have to tell you something."

Jimin said "What happened to you?"

I sighed and said "I moved out."

Jimin laughed and said "Congratulations you made me laugh."

I didn't say anything.

Jimin asked confused "Wait your serious?"

I said "Yeah I am."

Jimin asked "But why?"

I frustrated as I said "I'm tired of all the money we get is for rent! We never have extra money for ourselfs."

Jimin asked "I leave and all of sudden this affects you? What's happened for you to act like this?

I said "I went to the mall and realized I don't have money for myself."

Jimin asked "Where do you live now then?"

I laughed and said "I live on the other side of town."

Jimin shouted "What?! Are you crazy?! That side is dangerous! Especially, for you that you look so um and innocent!"

I rolled my eyes and said "You act like every guy wants me. Do you hear yourself? Don't worry no one wants me, ok."

Jimin said "I'm actually very terrified for your life now! You shouldn't had moved like that. Ugh, now I'm worried for you and my mom."

I asked "Wait is she ok?"

Jimin said "She feels good but this medication is very hard on her."

I said "Everything will be fine!"

Jimin said "I believe that it will but please don't leave your place tonight. Just wait until tomorrow to get me my clothes."

I said "Calm down, Jimin. Don't believe everything you hear on the news."

Jimin sighed and asked "What about your job? Isn't it to far away."

I said "I quit and I'm working in a new cafe now."

Jimin said "Oh my...goodluck. Look I have to go already."

"Are you upset?" I asked nervously.

Jimin said "You shouldn't had moved. I don't have a good feeling about you over there."

I said "Stop saying this or I'm going to be scared now."

Jimin said "I'm sorry. I just want you to be ok."

I said "Goodnight Jimin.

Jimin hanged up and I sighed.

*Next Morning*

I got out of my apartment and it was pretty quiet again. I rolled my eyes as Jimin made it sound like I lived in a horrible place. I went to my job and actually there was alot of people. I couldn't even keep up with who went in and who went out but this was only early in the morning.

My boss said "If you need help just tell me. I'm going to be in the back sleeping."

I nodded and looked away surprised. I waited and waited for humans to come in but no one did, anymore. I turned around and a kid came in running to steal a donut.

I gasped and my boss yelled "Hey! Come back here!"

He turned to look at me angry. "What are you doing?! Pay attention! Can't you see people come in to rob?"

I said "I'm sorry. I just never thought a kid would come in to rob."

"No one is innocent! Don't be fooled by there looks!" He yelled at me.

I asked "How long will I work?"

He shouted "7 P.M. and don't ask to leave earlier!"

I looked at him crazy and asked "What? Why?"

He said "The girl called she's not showing up."

He walked away and I looked down at my feet. "My legs are going to get swollen." I thought really upset.

It was finally time to leave and he handed me cash. I asked "No check at the end of the week?"

"Do you want to get paid or not?" He asked. I grabbed the money and left. I got a taxi and looked down at my shoes how they were killing me. I paid him before he left and I went inside to Jimins apartment. I got his keys and walked in. I got some random clothes and sticked it in a bag. I started to limp as I really needed to take a break but that didn't stop me. I looked out his window and saw the light from Suga's apartment off. "Maybe he's still working." I thought before locking Jimin's door and leaving. I walked outside and waved my hand at a taxi to get me. I got in and ordered "To UPS please."

I was taken to the UPS store and I looked up the address to see if it was the same as the label on the box. I left the store and my taxi was gone. "He left without me paying him? What the...?" I looked around asking in my head. I waved my hand at a taxi coming my way and it stopped. I told him my address and the taxi driver took me home. I paid him and went inside the building. I walked up the stairs as I didn't have time to be stuck in the elevator. I turned into the hall to go to my apartment but there was a drunk man sitting on the floor. Located on my neighbors door and I had to walk by him. I took out my keys as I didn't want to stand there and waste any time in looking for the right key. Sadly, my keys made a sound which made him look at my direction. I didn't want him to talk to me and most importantly move. My heart started to race as I walked past him and tried to stick my key inside. Lucky, I made my key turn and opened my door. I quickly turned around to shut the door but the drunk guy was already in.

"Uh...how can I help you?" I asked nervously.

He looked down at my body and looked right up at me again. He asked with his drunk voice "Do you have any sugar?"

"I-i don't think so." I tried to say it without stumbling on my words.

"Go check." He ordered as he walked closer.

"I don't have any! Could you please leave?" I said walking around him and opening my door for him to leave.

He walked in more and said "No, I know you have some in here. So, I'm not leaving until I get some sugar out of you."

"W-what?" I asked confused.

He aggressively grabbed my arms and threw me over my sofa and hovered over my body.

I gasped and said "NO! STOP! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

He started to kiss my neck and I tried to move up as he held tighter against my arms.

"YOUR HURTING ME!" I shouted in pain.

He laughed in an evil way and said "We're just getting started."

I screamed "HELP!"

He put his hand over my mouth and I bit it.

"OUCH!" He shouted really loud and slapped me really hard. My lip started to hurt alot as I grabbed my cheek. I couldn't hold my pain in anymore and I started to cry.

"GET OFF OF HER!" I heard a familiar voice say from behind him. I tried to look but he wouldn't let go of me.

"Let her go!" He yelled and pulled him off of me.

The cops came running inside and I sat up.

"Are you ok? Do you need medical assistance?" The police officer asked me.

"I'm a doctor. I will take over. Thank you, but I need to give her a check up." Suga said to the officer.

"I need her to declare what happened at the delegation to press charges against this rapist." The officer said and giving him his card information.

I was in shock and didn't even want to move. Suga quickly turned around and rushed to me.

"Mai? Are you ok?" He asked.

I gulped and cried more. Suga brought me into a tight hug and said "It's ok. I'm here. Don't worry. He'll pay for what he almost did to you."

At first I didn't feel him rubbing my back I guess cause it was hard to get over what almost seemed to happen a few minutes ago. I was hugging him so tight that I didn't even realize it was a little to tight. I was just scared that I would feel what I felt earlier. I slowly let go and wiped my tears off my face. I looked up at him and then at his outfit.

"You just got out of work?" I asked softly.

Suga said "I did and I followed you here."

I rinsed my hands over my hair and said "Thank you for saving me."

Suga asked "Why did you move here? Are you crazy or what?"

I took off my shoes and he asked "What are you crazy? Your not staying here after all of this."

I grabbed my feet and said "I can't go back. I gave up my apartment. It was just today that this happened. Yesterday, nothing happened. It was just a bad day that's all."

Suga said "I'm staying here with you then. This is crazy."

I said "I don't want to argue with you."

Suga touched my forhead and said "Temperature feels good but how are you feeling?"

I nodded and said "I'm fine. You can leave peacefully."

Suga asked "Why on earth did you leave the apartment? Why all on a sudden the change."

I bit my lip and looked down at my hands. I lifted up my hands and gasped. Yoongi looked at them and then looked at my neck.

"You stopped putting on the cream didn't you?" He asked.

I smiled and said "I forgot all about my rash that it's gone!"

Suga said "It may still be on your back though."

I couldn't stop smiling at how it was gone and I could feel my smooth skin again.

Suga said "Come on let's go back to my place."

I put my hands down and said "I want you to leave."

Suga asked confused "You what?"

I nodded my head and said "Please go and don't come back."

Suga looked at me with disgust and asked "I wasn't the one who almost raped you, it was that drunk guy and your saying you want me to leave."

I said "Yeah."

Suga sarcastically laughed and ordered "Answer me. Why did you leave my apartment without telling me?"

"I never wanted to see you again, that's why." I said coldly.

Suga said "Fine, if that's what you want."

I raised an eyebrow how he actually was leaving.

Suga said "Goodluck on your own here."

I frowned and looked how he left my apartment. I was now alone in the dark.

"I'm so freakin scared." I said in a panic tone. I blew air on my face with my hands and wanted to cry. I can't believe I was going to get raped and probably get murdered in here naked. I hope he pays for what he almost did to me. I held my arms with my hands as they hurt from that drunk guy squeezing them to death. I sighed and walked around in circles. I heard a thump on the other side of the wall and I ran to the kitchen to get a knife. "Please stop and go away." I softly said. The rest of the night I didn't sleep because I was scared if my neighbors were like that drunk guy or if he was my neighbor. What if there was not enough evidence to put him jail? I wouldn't be surprised if the police did something to let him go. It was now morning, I heard my alarm and I went to change. I quickly took a shower how I didn't trust my surroundings. I ran out my apartment and left the building in a rush. It was so foggy and dark outside. "Rain again." I said as I walked down the sidewalk for a taxi.

A taxi appeared and I hoped on. I made it to my job and my boss got there at the same time as me.

I smiled as I asked "Good Morning. Did you find another girl who could help?"

He responded as he opened the business door "Did you?"

I looked at him shooked and answered "No, I thought you would."

He said "I don't look. They come to me."

I looked at him kind of scared as I walked in with him and put on my apron. I looked at the time and it was 7 A.M. I knew people would start rushing in but not many people did. I guess cause it was foggy and dark. My boss went to stand next to me to clean the counters as he did, two men in masks came in and pointed there guns at us. I stepped back and my boss said "Hey put the guns down and leave!"

I looked at him crazy how he was supposed to give them the money not fight back.

"Give me the money!" One shouted.

My boss yelled at me "Don't you dare or I'll fire you!"

I didn't know what to do at this point and I was terrified.

The other man got closer with his gun and shouted "COME ON OR I'LL KILL YOU BOTH!"

I said "I don't want to die! Just give him the money!"

One of them shot in the ceiling and said "I'M NOT SAYING THIS AGAIN! GIVE ME THE DAMN MONEY!"

I squat down on the floor and started to cry.

"Get up!" One of them ordered me but I just couldn't anymore.

I heard the sirens from the cops cars coming and they ran through the back door.

"I can't believe you were going to give up all my money away!" He shouted.

I looked up and said "Very few customers came to pay cash! The others paid with credit cards! There was only five dollars in there! Why didn't you give them that?!"

I was now very angry that I wipped my tears off my face. The cops came in and investigated the scene. I stood outside of the cafe and held in my dumb tears. I saw a car pull up and I knew it was Suga. I turned around so he wouldn't see my face. He came around so he would stand in front of me.

"Let's go. Next time you won't survive. I'm not calling the cops again this week." He said really serious.

I looked up at my boss and he was pretty mad. I walked over to him and said "I'm quiting."

"Why?! You can't leave!" He shouted.

"I almost died because you wouldn't give them those five dollars!" I said really angry.

He said "Whatever leave! Your useless anyways!"

The police officer said "Hey! I can take you in for that!"

Suga said "Please do! We don't need people like him out here running a business with that attitude."

I turned around and said "Let's go."

I sighed as he walked me to his car and opened the door for me. I walked in and rubbed the side of my head. He came inside the car and said "I'm not even asking you if you want to come with me or not. I don't care if you yell at me or get upset."

I didn't even argue with him as I was still processing all this situation again. He took me to his apartment and got me breakfast.

"Where do you get breakfast?" I asked.

Suga said "These apartments give breakfast in the morning in the cafeteria but I told them to leave it in my apartment this time."

I started to eat my biscuit and he asked "Are you feeling better?"

I said "No I'm not. I really can't believe all these things happened in so little time."

Suga said "That's why I listen to others."

With rolling eyes I said "No, you listen cause your a doctor."

Suga said "Finish, eating I'm going to go change."

I said "Your working today?"

Suga said "Yeah."

I nodded my head and continued to eat. I started to feel really sleepy.

Suga came back and said "I'm going to work and I don't want to be worried about you. Could you just stay here?"

I said "I'm going to listen to you this time."

Suga sighed and left. I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer so I went to the couch and fell asleep.

A few hours past and I woke up to pages turning. I turned around a little and rubbed my eyes. I looked at the sofa from across of mine and saw Suga reading. I sat up and looked at the clock. It was 1 P.M. and I asked "I know you live here but what are you doing here?"

Suga drinked out of a cup and said "There was no more patients for me so I was let out early."

I asked "Your drinking coffee?"

Suga said "It's tea. Do you want some?"

I said "No, I'm fine."

Suga smiled and said "I waited for you to wake up so we could eat together but you didn't wake up. I'm glad you didn't wake up to a nightmare that means your conscience is ok."

I said "I think it's because I didn't fully experience a rape and I didn't actually get to physically know how it feels to get shot inside."

I looked at his outfit and he was changed into comfy clothes.

"When did you get here?" I asked.

Suga said "I came back around 10 A.M. and I just been here reading."

I said "I'm sorry. I slept so much."

Suga said "Sounds like someone slept really good last night."

I said "Yeah, I can't believe we have people looking so good out here like they slept so peacefully."

Suga squinted his eyes at me and said "You said to leave you alone in that building."

I said "Thank you, that you followed me to my job."

Suga said "Your welcome. Now, do you want to get your stuff from the apartment."

I stood up and said "I need to get my old apartment back first and then get my old job back."

Suga said "Impossible."

I looked at him confused and said "What do you mean?"

Suga said "I called and your apartment is already in use. I went to the cafe to see if I could get you your job back and they said they already had someone working in your place."

"I'm so stupid all because-" I stopped speaking as I didn't want him to hear what I would say.

Suga stood up and said "Just say why you did it."

I said "I just want to have extra money on me, that's all."

Suga said "That's one part. So, what's the other?"

I looked away and said "There is no other part."

Suga asked "Why are you always lying to me?"

I gasped as I looked up at him and said "I'm not."

Suga asked "Are you mad that I left you here alone and that I left to go with Alina?"

I sarcastically laughed and said "What? Not even."

Suga nodded his head and asked "I went to go tell her we were about to kiss."

I choked and asked "You what?!"

Suga asked in a teasing way "Doesn't it feel horrible when someone lies to you?"

I looked at him annoyed how he had just played with my feelings but then I remembered we were about to kiss. I looked away from him and he got closer to me. I didn't back off as I didn't feel to scared of him anymore.

"You want to know what I told her? I didn't even take long and before I knew it you were gone." He said.

"I think I should go." I said out of the blue.

Suga asked "Why are you running again?"

I said "This obviously affected you and me."

Suga asked "What did?"

I squeezed my lips together a couple of seconds before walking away from him, towards his door.

Suga softly turned me around and his lips were right in front of my eyes again.

He asked again "What did?"

I smiled as I backed away from him before answering him "You went to your room and never came out again."

Suga said "I wasn't feeling to well. Can I not go to my room and rest?"

I shrugged as I asked "Why did you feel unwell?"

Suga said "I don't know. I guess because I got wet trying to save your life from the rain."

I gasped and said "Liar!"

Suga chuckled and said "This is what I'm learning from you."

I rolled my eyes with a smile and said "but you felt well to go hang out with Alina."

Suga said "I didn't feel well and when I came back I felt worse because you weren't here."

"So, now it's my fault you got sicker." I chuckled as I said that.

He said "No, I just got worried about you."

I laughed and said "Stop lying cause I left that sticky note on the table."

Suga said "Obviously, that was a lie you made up because you felt uncomfortable. Look at everything that happened in less than 24 hours. Near rape, robbing, and almost murder accrued!"

I walked around him back to the kitchen and said "You get me like this!"

"No the idea of doctors in your presence do!" He said from the doorway.

I said "Don't even talk about doctors."

Suga said "Mai? Did you forget? I am a doctor!"

I said "You don't have to remind me over and over again, you know."

He stopped speaking and asked "Tell me why you don't like me? What have I done? I have never disrespected you and you hear really good things about me. So, what's the problem?"

"I don't want to talk about this." I said looking at him.

Suga said "Well, I want you to like me. If your going to live here I would really like if we had a good bond together."

"I'm not staying here. I'm going out to look for an apartment. Don't come after me!" I said walking out of his apartment.
