27. Hospital

Though Lara appeared calm and composed outside, inside she was crying. She loved her parents a lot and when she would sit without doing something their memories would start flashing through her mind.

A new project was announced and it set people into action. It was her field of expertise and so she also played a major role in it.

- Two weeks later. –

Liam and Miles were entering their office early. They had to prepare quite a lot before their meeting tomorrow.

While walking to his office, they noticed that Lara's bag and things were on her table.

" She is here this early?", Liam mumbled.

While walking both of them noticed a hand on the floor. They froze.

When they looked down, they noticed that Lara was lying on the floor. Her face was pale. Her cheeks were a bit flushed. Sweat forming on her forehead. She was slightly shivering.

Liam immediately crouched down. He was extremely shocked and worried. When Liam's hand brushed against her forehead, he realized at once what was wrong with her.

She was having very high fever. Her body was burning.

He immediately carried her and asked Miles to get the vehicle ready.

Inside the car, he rested her head on his chest. He was gently tapping her cheeks and trying to wake her up. But she did not budge. A slight frown formed on her face. He stopped trying to wake her when he saw that.

Miles was looking intently at the way Liam was treating her. He saw worry etched over his face. It was something he had never seen. He smiled slightly happy that his best friend finally found a girl.

They reached the hospital soon. He carried her out and placed her on a stretcher. The doctors came rushing and pushed her inside the emergency care room.

Liam stayed back because the nurse stopped him from entering. He didn't know what to do so pulled his phone out and called his mom.

The nurses and doctors were surprised when they saw two utterly delicious men who were known to be really cold and damn rich come running inside carrying a woman. Though they were swooning on him, they quickly shifted their attention to the woman.

They knew very well that if Liam has brought a woman with him, it means that she was really important. And if she was, then they would loose their heads if something happened to her. So they immediately got into action.

Emily came in rushing. She was surprised when she heard her phone ring early in the morning and what surprised her even more was that it was her son. When she heard that Lara was rushed to the hospital, she immediately left for the hospital.

She saw her son standing outside not knowing what to do. When she went near him, the doctor came outside.

" The patient is alright now," he said. " What happened to her? How is she now?", Liam immediately asked in a worry laden tone.

" She seems to have overworked herself and not slept for a few days. Her body couldn't handle the stress, so she fainted. Her fever has reduced. She just needs some rest. She can get discharged after she regains consciousness.", the doctor explained and left.

The three of them were confused when they heard that she was overworking.

She was soon moved into a VIP room.

Liam asked Levy to send him the CCTV footages of the past few days. When they saw the footage, they were stunned.

For the past few days she had been working full as late as 1am. And would return by around 7am. Then he noticed that she was not having meals on time either.

Lara woke up two hours later. She felt something soft below her and was surprised.' When did I come home? Why don't I remember anything?', she thought. When she opened her eyes, she realised that she was in an unfamiliar room. While looking around it at once dawned to her that she was in a hospital.

She noticed that Liam, Miles, Emily, Tom, Sara, Mark and Mike were all sitting around her bed. " What happened to me?" she asked while sitting up.

" Your body was over stressed and so you had a fever. Now do you care to explain as to why you were working past mid night these few days?", Liam asked with a tone laced with a bit of anger.

" I just wanted to review and complete the work regarding our new project. And….", she replied.

" And ???", both the brothers and Liam asked at the same time.

" It is just that when I sit without doing anything, I keep remembering my parents. That makes my mood fall and so I tried keeping myself busy. But now I think it was a bad idea", she replied with a sad smile.

The three of them felt a tug at their heart. Both her brothers hugged her tightly." We are there for you sis. You can always talk to us", they said. She just smiled and hugged them back.

" And even if you feel lonely or disappointed, do not hesitate to contact us. We are ready to do anything to cheer you up. Even if Mike will have to dress up as a clown, though he is already one, I am completely okay with it", Tom said while gently patting her head.

" Hey !!! Who do you think you are calling a clown huh?", Mike immediately questioned." Of course, it is you", he casually replied. That's it. Both of them started bickering.

They only stopped when they heard a cute laugh. They saw that their princess's face was bright with a smile. They smiled back.

Lara couldn't help but smile seeing how adorable her brothers were. She was feeling warmth and happiness having found her family.

Even the others couldn't stop but smile.

Liam was drooling inside looking at how beautiful she looked while smiling.' Hey idiot, stop drooling… There is a huge audience…', his brain kept telling him. But he just could not. Finally when the room went a bit quite, he snapped out of his daze.
