37. Sunshine??!! Moonlight??

While driving she asked him," How much did you drink boss??"." Five bottles of beer.. One bottle of white wine.. One bottle of red wine… No no no…. Half a bottle of red wine…", he replied warily.

She was looking at his reflection in utter disbelief. She than brought her attention back to the road. He was mumbling the whole time about a girl. Finally, they reached his house.

He half walked and was half carried by Lara. Finally she got in and turned the lights on. She placed him on the couch and went to get him some water.

" Lara???.. Lara..", he started calling. " Yes boss I am here ", she said while getting him a glass of water. " No you are not Lara….. Her face is like sunshine in the morning and moonlight in the night…... You are definitely not her..", he spoke.

She just stared at him in disbelief. Sunshine?? Moonlight???

" How do you know what I look like in the night boss??", she asked. Clearly confused.

" I have seen her…. She waters her plants in the balcony at night… Every night at nine o'clock…", he replied with a slight smile. " H.. How do you know that??", she asked.

" I couldn't even sleep properly because of her… So I slept outside her house….", he replied without hesitation.

" So it was you??!! No wonder the security kept complaining that someone was parking their car in front of my house at night…", she said. She was quite dumbstruck.

Suddenly he stood up. She decided to help him. But right at that moment, he lost his balance and fell on top of her.

Thump. Crash!!

The glass she was holding shattered a bit away. His whole weight was pressing on her. She tried moving him but he did not budge.

" Boss?? Boss are you okay??", she asked.

Her left hand was trapped between her body and the floor. It was aching because of the weight of two people. She started feeling a bit suffocated. Seeing that he was not at all budging, she pulled out her phone from her pocket with great struggle.

She called Miles." Hello Lara… What happened???", he asked in a sleepy voice. " Mr. Miles.. I … ugh.. really need your help… boss got drunk and passed out and fell on me.. I am unable to move him off…", she said with struggle. Her breathing was becoming difficult because of the weight.

" I'll be there soon", he said and hung up. This was the first time he heard that Liam was drunk. He was shocked and on top of that Lara sounded extremely uncomfortable, so he decide to get there as fast as he could.

Soon he got in and he saw them lying on the floor. He pulled Liam off her and only that's when she could breathe properly. She sat up trying to catch her breath. That is when she felt the sharp pain on her left hand that was swollen.

" Are you alright??", Miles asked. " Mostly. Except I think something is wrong with my left arm..", she replied. He noticed that her hand was swollen.

" Let's get you both to the hospital", he said. Both of them then half carried and half dragged Liam into Miles's car and drove to the hospital. The car was silent except for few sighs from Liam throughout the journey. Miles wanted to ask Lara a lot of questions but decided to wait till she gets her arm checked.

The hospital was mostly empty with almost no patient. Few staff came forward and helped them place Liam onto a stretcher and pushed him inside. Few nurses helped Lara get her hand checked while the others attended Liam.

Miles called both Emily and Lina who rushed to the hospital. Sleep was evident in their eyes.

" He is just drunk. He can leave after the drip ends", one of the doctors said." Then what about Lara??", Miles asked." She has a light fracture in her hand. They are getting her into a cast. It will heal in two weeks.", the doctor replied.

After a while Lara came out with a sling on her left arm while they shifted Liam into the VIP ward. The people decided to get some sleep because the doctor told that Liam would take a few hours to gain his consciousness.

The next day Lara was the first to wake up. Soon the others were up. They heard some shuffling noises and turned to see that Liam was up.

Liam woke up with a terrible head ache. He only remembered drinking with some associates and didn't remember anything else. When he sat up he realized that he was in a hospital. He looked around and was met with half sleepy eyes of Miles, Lina, his mom and Lara.

That is when his eyes landed on the sling on her left arm. She didn't have one until last night. What happened. He thought.

" What happened??", he asked while clearing his eyes." You don't remember anything boss??", Lara asked in a slightly dark voice. She was clearly annoyed that she ended up with a fractured arm. The others were a bit surprised with the darkness in her tone.

" No", he replied innocently. She looked at him in utter disbelief." I am assuming that you will be having cameras in your house?? I can show what happened..", she said.

Liam just opened the app in his phone and handed it to her. She selected the time in the hall and was about to play it when her phone rang. It was her brothers, they had made it a regular routine to call their princess every morning.

" Excuse me I have to answer this. Play it from where I have set it", she said and handed Liam the phone and left. Liam was pretty confident that he hadn't done anything stupid so decided to play the video. The other three surrounded him to watch the screen.

The video started playing from when she dragged him in. Then they saw all the antics Liam was playing and how he ended up falling on her.

Liam's face started turning red in embarrassment. Now he could partly remember what he was doing. The others jaws dropped when they watched the video. They were just gaping at the screen. After the footage ended they looked at Liam whose face was red like a tomato.
