41. In love
The Golden Palm Resort was a fancy place. It was where quite a lot of VIPs stayed. It was a lake resort.
The entrance was huge and was decorated multiple sculptures of Greek gods and goddesses. Inside there were many beautiful chandeliers hanging. It was extremely luxurious and the employees were gaping at the extravaganza. They were shocked that they were staying in such a fancy place.
The manager came forward when they saw them enter and greeted them. Lara asked them to leave their luggage at the lobby and walk to the garden.
Miles stood in front and said," So guys… Welcome to your staycation .. There are going to be many fun group activities that were planned by Lara and me.. But before that, let me inform you that there will be four people staying in each villa.. I have divided you guys into groups of four on random basis.. So let us begin.."
He then started with the list of names. Finally it was Liam's turn. " So with boss, it is going to be Lina, Lara and me .. That's all for now.. You guys can go in and settle down in your rooms and freshen up.. We will meet in the restaurant at lunch time..", Miles finished speaking.
Lara was surprised that she was going to live with the three of them again. They all gathered their luggage and walked to their respective villas. Now they had about two and half hours to relax and freshen up. So each of them went into their rooms to change.
Lara took a quick shower and changed into a casual red T-shirt with black ripped jeans. She tied her hair into a high pony. After changing, she quickly arranged her things in the closet and went out. The villa was huge and spacious. It also had a kitchen inside.
She stepped out of the French window that was there in the living room into the garden and breathed in the fresh air. The garden had beautiful rose beds and many other flowers. She just had a beautiful smile on her face and closed her eyes.
She was in her own world that she didn't realize that someone was staring at her. When Liam came down from his room and walked into the living room, he was met with the most beautiful sight he could ever see. He was observing how she was smiling beautifully breathing the scent of nature.
At that moment Miles and Lina came out and saw Liam drooling over Lara." Why don't you approach her directly brother??", Lina asked. Liam was startled when he suddenly heard a voice behind him and quickly turned back.
He was met with the knowing gazes from Lina and Miles. He was caught in the act. He cleared his throat awkwardly and scratched the back of his head. Lara's eyes snapped open when she heard Liam clear his throat. She quickly turned and walked towards them with a smile.
" I am sorry I didn't notice you. I got carried away", she said apologetically." Hey you don't need to apologize Lara.. We just came down", Lina replied with a gentle smile. She then dragged Lara out for a chat and the two guys were left alone.
" Bro why aren't you proposing to her?? Don't tell me that the great Liam Page is scared to propose..", Miles started teasing Liam the minute the ladies stepped out. Liam just scowled at him and sat down.
" I don't know what to do.. I mean.. She doesn't seem to show any interest towards me unlike others.. So I don't know if she will reject me. At least now I get to see her smile at me… What if she stops that after my confession??", he spoke softly, loud enough for Miles to hear.
" What if she accepts?? Won't that be great??!!", Miles tried to comfort him.
I know that. But I am still scared. Never mind, I'll think about it after returning back. He thought.
He abruptly stood up and said," Come on, let us go for lunch.."
They all met at the restaurant and started mingling with each other. Both Lara and Lina felt that they were from some other world because only the two of the were the females who went with casual clothes and almost bare face.
The other women had dipped their face in make up and had worn fancy dresses to get Liam's attention. Sadly, our Liam was just looking at Lara like a lovesick cat. Poor Liam.

After lunch they gathered in front of the fountain. Miles started speaking." So we are going to have a treasure hunt now.. It has been prepared by Levy and executed by me.. So… The people with whom you are staying are your team members.. So let us begin.."
" The first clue is…", he said the clue and people started racking their brains to find the solution. Soon they all started heading out with Liam and Lara being at the lead.
Lara's team was quite fast in solving the clues. But Liam wasn't very active during the game because his attention was completely on Lara. The way she bites her lip while thinking renders him unable to take his gaze off her beautiful face.
Lina was seeing the way Liam was looking at her and couldn't help but chuckle inwardly. Her brother was in love. She decided to help her unromantic brother spend some time with her and said," I'll check if I can find the clue over there..". She then ran away but not before giving Liam an elbow bump and an encouraging smile.
