63. Don't go overboard

" So did you give her the invitation??", Miles asked Lara when he reached her seat. Lara smiled and replied," Yup… What about you??"

" I have given him the invitation, completely according to our plan…", he replied." By the way…. You have invested quite a bit on this date.. Are you that sure that they will end up together??", Miles curiously asked.

It indeed was expensive. Being able to book a reservation in The Imperial Dragon Mountain could itself be considered a miracle as it was extremely tough to get one if the person was not influential or rich.

" I am pretty sure because I can sense the love and adoration they have for each other, just like between you two…

And Marina is my best friend so spending a bit of money to help her get her love is not soo much of a hassle… This is worth it..", Lara replied with a smile.

" So.. How is your planning going on??..", Lara curiously asked Miles. Miles's face started turning red when he started remembering the mind blowing action plan he had made.

" I had heard from her that she wanted to visit the amusement park here… So I thought to propose to her over there…", Miles replied with a smile.

" Hmmm… A good plan… Just don't go over the top and keep it simple… Remember that you are just asking her to be your girlfriend not your wife… So go fancy when you propose marriage to her while going simple and elegant now..", Lara advised him.

" Yes ma'am!!", Miles replied in a exaggerated tone and a quick salute. Lara just chuckled and went back to her work just like Miles.

At 7:20pm, The Imperial Dragon Mountain.

Marina was standing in front of The Imperial Dragon Mountain in awe. She was finally able to go into her dream restaurant.

I love you Lara!!! Marina was so happy and grateful to Lara. If it wasn't for her, she wouldn't be getting this opportunity.

She was looking at her light blue gown wondering if she had underdressed. But then she consoled herself by saying that she had spent almost a whole month's salary to get this dress, so it was definitely pretty.

When she got in, she was looking around in admiration. The extravagant décor of the restaurant's lobby that was filled with dragons gave a unique feel.

It had Renaissance décor and made a person feel like he had stepped into medieval China.

Marina was finding it very difficult from stopping herself from squealing out of happiness and running around and feeling everything. She was holding everything in with great difficulty.

You are here representing Lara, Marina. You need to keep up with a good image for her… Don't make a fool of yourself…

Marina was chanting in her mind while taking a few deep breaths.

At that time, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned to see who the owner of the hand was and was surprised.

She saw Ryan standing with a smile.  He was wearing a dashing black suit with a bow tie and his hair was neatly gelled.

" Hi Ryan!!", Marina exclaimed in surprise. She didn't expect to meet him over here.

Ryan smiled and replied," Hi.. I am here to attend an event for Mr. Miles… What about you??". He was a bit worried if she was here for a date considering how well she was dressed.

" Oh… I am here on Lara's behalf to attend an event..", Marina replied.

Ryan felt a bit of relief wash over him after learning that she wasn't here on a date. He still had a chance.

Before any of them could utter another word, two waitresses approached them.

" Mr. Ryan and Miss Marina??", one of them asked them to confirm their identities.

" Yes", both of them replied at the same time.

The waitresses smiled at their reply." We have been asked to escort you. Please follow us", the second waitress said with a smile.

Both of them nodded before following the waitresses into the elevator.

The elevator stopped on the fifth floor and the waitresses stepped out while ushering the two of them to follow.

Both Marina and Ryan were confused because according to the information known to the public, the fifth floor was where there were private booths for families to enjoy meals. The event space was on the eighth floor.

They reluctantly followed the waitresses to a private booth on the left end.

They walked a good 30 meters before stopping in front of a door that had a sign that read ' Reserved'. One of the waitresses stepped forward and opened the door and let the two of them in.

When they walked in, the surroundings left them in awe.
