My Manager ; My First Love

Ryan and Marina were looking at the room in awe


The entire room was decorated with balloons and flowers. Candles were the only source of light in the room . Beautiful scented candles were lit around the room and the faint smell of roses wafted into their noses.


Red rose petals were arranged to form a path to the centre of the room.


In the middle of the room, there was a circular table covered in white silk cloth with two chairs on opposite sides. 


A beautiful candelabra was glowing on the table.


Both of them were left speechless by the view.


" Dinner will be served soon. Please enjoy your night", one of the waitresses said with a smile. The they bowed and left the stunned couple alone.


" Did you prepare this??", both of them asked at the same time. They looked at each other in confusion.


At that moment, both of their phones vibrated.


Marina picked her phone and saw a text from Lara while Ryan saw one from Miles.


Both of them looked at the message they received and then looked up at each other.


This was all pre-planned!! Their friends deceived them. But in a good way.


Ryan smiled after a few seconds, finally waking up from the shock." Please have a seat..", he said while pulling a chair out for her in the most gentlemanly manner.


Marina smiled and went and sat down. Now she loved Lara even more.


' Plan success.' ' Plan success.' Both Lara and Miles texted each other at the same time.


Lara smiled. This was where her part ended. Now the rest was in the hands of the two lovebirds.


Maria, who was sitting on the couch next to Lara, looked at her with a confused gaze seeing her smile. 


Maria and Lara had been working on the next day's party for a while now. They were almost done with the planning and we're taking a quick breather.


" What happened sis??", Maria asked Lara quickly. Lara smiled and replied," Your crush and I successfully set up a couple….."


Maria's face turned red when she heard Lara call Miles her "crush". She playfully slapped her hand and said," Who is my crush?? Huh??!!"


Lara looked at her red face and chuckled." Your face is saying otherwise~~", Lara replied. 


Maria covered her face using her hands in embarrassment. 


Stupid face!! Why are you turning red??!! She cursed inwardly.


( Author : Don't blame your poor face Maria. It is your hormones that is making your face red… But even you can't help it if you wanted to… Miles just looks too dashing and is a perfect eye candy….)


" Anyways.. Should we go out for dinner tonight or order takeout??", Lara asked. " Hmm… Let's go out… It has been so long since we had a girls night….", Maria replied with a smile.


" Deal!! Quickly get into some good clothes…", Lara said while getting up and pulling Maria up with her as well.


Lara and Maria just finished arranging everything for their party.


Maria came out of the kitchen while reciting the things she had written in a list.


" Drinks, check. Water, check. Snacks, check. Maria, check. Lara, check. Finally… Done with everything…", Maria exhaled exasperatedly and sat on the couch.


Lara smiled and sat next to her." You are pretty good huh?? Looks like you have been studying well even after I left..", Lara teased Maria.


" Hey!! I topped my class in the semester exams, okay!! I studied well only.. Humph..", Maria immediately defended herself.


" Sure.. Sure..", Lara commented airily. Maria pouted seeing Lara's reaction. But before she could speak, the bell rang.


Little did Lara know that a storm was going to walk into her house.
