When is Maggie coming back? Antra asked as we strolled
She would be coming home by 8, James said he wanted to have dinner with her
All the dinners she's had with him isn't enough neh? Antra asked sarcastically
Not now please, I said before she starts ranting on her evident dislike for him
Is it not you? You would not let me talk, let me Sha zip my mouth, she said smiling
Anyways are you not going to tell me about the hot shot calling you nowadays, she asked with a sly smile which left me blushing
He got my number from Facebook, he wants us to be friends, I replied
And you think a guy wants to be just friends with a girl he took a number from Facebook? You are kidding yourself, she said
I don't want to date him, I replied
See your mouth like I don't want to date him, do you think it is everyday you see hot guys like that? If I was not already in love with Ben, I would have stolen him from right under your nose, she said eyeing me
You can eye me all you want but Ben must hear of this, I said eyeing her back
Ohh and I am going to tell Maggie that her mommy has a boyfriend, she replied smirking

Oh I would, it would sure be fun watching her asking you to let her talk to him and asking if it is her Daddy, she said laughing

Mummy!! We heard Maggie yell as soon as we heard the knock
The fire cracker is back, Antra muttered under her breath
Do you want me to tell her that? I asked smirking as I went to get the door but not missing her glare
How are you my baby? I asked as I raised her to my bosom
Am fine mommy, she replied hugging me
Hi, I said to James who was standing by the side

Do you wanna come in? I asked
Nah, am just going to leave now, my regards to your friends, he said
I will, I said as I walked in with Maggie on one arm and her suitcase on the other
Aunty Antra!!! Maggie yelled as she untangled herself from me and ran to her
How are you cutie? Antra asked
I am very fine aunty, I ate a lot of chocolates, she replied excitedly
Don't let your Mommy hear that, Antra whispered rather loudly to her
Ok, Maggie replied in a not so whispering voice
I heard you, I said standing in front of them, I said glaring at the both of them
We know, Antra replied smirking. I swear I am going to cut off that attitude of hers.

When are we going to stay with daddy? Maggie asked looking up at me from the kitchen counter
Who said we are going to stay with him? I asked trying to sound indifferent
You said so the other day when he was here, she argued trying to put words into my mouth
Don't put words in my mouth, I didn't say so and you wouldn't say anything about it either, I said in a slightly raised voice
Ok, she replied in a small voice as she walked out of the kitchen dejected while I concentrated on cooking

Stand up and have your breakfast, I said as I bent to wake Maggie
God of Mercy!!! I exclaimed as soon as I touched her. She is burning hot
Antra!!!!! Ben!!!!!!!! I yelled as I picked her up and headed downstairs
What's wrong? They both asked panicked as we met in the corridor
Maggie, she's burning hot, I don't know what's wrong, I said as tears ran down my cheeks
It's fine, bring her here and Antra go get my car keys, Ben said as he took Maggie from me
Ok, Antra said as she went back up.
Here are the keys, she said as she came back attempting to get into the car
You should stay at home Antra,we can't just leave the house like this, Ben said kicking the car
But I want to stay with her too, she tried to protest
No babe, please just do as I say, he said as he revved and we left
What's wrong with my daughter doctor? I asked panicked
Madam you have to calm down and I would like to speak with the father of the child, the doctor replied
I already called him, he is on his way. Can't you just tell me?? I asked scared
As I said you shouldn't worry, when he comes please ask him to come see me, the doctor said as he left
What did he say? Ben asked me as he is just coming back from where he went to pay the advance for the treatment
He just said I should not worry and that I should tell James to come see him when he arrives. I am really worried right now, I said as another bout of tears wanted to start
Don't worry it is all going to be fine, he said as he gave me a pat on the shoulder
Where is she?? James asked panting as he got to us
She's in the room, Ben said pointing it to him as James dashed there
I will just go tell him what the doctor said, Ben said walking to the room leaving me all alone. I wonder what would have triggered this illness, I had always made sure to give her food at the right time and also watched her hygiene so what could have triggered it is beyond me.
Where's James? I asked as I walked into the room without finding him there
He's gone to see the doctor, Ben replied as he stood up.
I am going home to prepare for work, I would send Antra here, he said sympathetically
Ok, thanks a lot, I said as I walked him to the door
What did the doctor say? I asked as James came to the room
He says she has a severe fever, he replied
What!!!!!! I yelled as tears run down my cheeks
