Are you set?? Antra asked me as I zipped my box.
Yea, I just need to find that girl, she has been all hyper and I don't want her to fall ill again, I said straightening up
That girl is something else I swear, I wonder how she could fall sick just because she wanted something, Antra said still in awe
Well that's Maggie for you, I said with a small smile
We had gotten home from the hospital, when we told Maggie of our decision to move in together, she got better in two days and insisted we started packing immediately we got home.
Mommy!!! Be fast, daddy will be here soon, Maggie yelled as she ran inside
Are you that eager to leave me alone?? Me your favorite aunty that takes you shopping and buy you chocolates, Antra said wiping imaginary tears
Don't worry, I would come to visit you aunty and we would go shopping and you would buy me chocolate, she said smiling
Why would I buy you chocolates when you don't want to stay with me?? I would save it for someone else, Antra said with a mock frown
Please na aunty, pretty please!!! Maggie begged with her hands placed in front of her as if in prayer and batting her eyelids to form a cute face.
Alright I will take you with me but promise you would visit often, Antra said bringing out her punkie while Maggie intertwined hers. Antra can be a baby sometimes 🙄.
Honk!!!! Honk!!!!!! We heard a horn sound outside
Daddy!! Maggie yelled before she ran out to meet him, I swear she will burst my eardrum one day.
I guess this is it, Antra said as her eyes started to well up
Don't be like this, I am just a few streets away if you need me, besides I will always come to visit, I said as I hugged her
If you say so but it wouldn't be the same and I am sorry Ben couldn't make it to see you off. He said the body he was doing there is very important, Antra said apologetically
It is fine really, when he gets back, help me tell I would come see him and thank him for me, I said hugging her again
You don't have to thank anyone Fariya, you are our friend, Antra said in a duh tone
Mummy be fast!!!!! We heard Maggie yell from downstairs
Let's Sha go downstairs before your daughter break down this house with her shouts, I wonder where she gets all this energy from, Antra said as she helped me with my box and I took Maggie's own.
Here we are, James said as we came down from his car.
His house had changed in the last three years, it seemed as if he had a renovation done.
It looks different,I commented
Yea I had it renovated into something smaller but comfy, I didn't know what I would do with all those space, he said as he chuckled a bit
Can we go inside?? Maggie said cutting into the conversation
Yes we can, you can go on while u bring the luggages in, James said as he went to the booth
I will just help you , I said as I followed him.
Wow!!!! I whispered as I saw the interior design of the house. It was simple yet classy, something I had always liked in all those pictures we viewed with Antra.
You like it? James asked with a contented smile etched on his lips
I most definitely love it, it looks really nice and clean. Did you clean the house yourself?? I asked looking around as I haven't seen anyone
Nah, I have a cleaner that comes thrice in a week for thorough cleaning while I do the rest, he said moving the box towards the corridor, I guess he is taking it to our room.
This room is for you and Maggie but if you prefer staying in separate rooms, I can arrange for that, he said nervously
No it's fine like this, thank you for everything, I said with a smile to atleast put him at ease.
It's no problem, I would just go find Maggie, she is finding it hard to stay in one place today, he said chuckling as he walked out.
He looks really handsome when he smiles but he rarely does that unless when with Maggie. I don't even know why I am thinking like this. Mtcheeeeeew I hissed as I turned to arrange our things.
Fariya, James called when we were in the watching Sofia the first because the princess wants us to watch a movie together
What is it?? I asked him glad I could take my attention off the TV
Well I was thinking I should enroll Maggie into school since it is the beginning of a new session, James said
That is good, I wanted to talk to you about it before masef, I already taught her the alphabets and numbers along with simple words so I was thinking if she could skip the kindergarten, I said hopefully
Well I was thinking of enrolling her in nursery directly and if she passes well, I will ask for her to be taken to primary school since two years of her school year has been wasted, he said
Well that's good too, finally my baby is going to start school, I said with a smile. I had always imagined her in a school uniform and lunch box. I guess my dream is coming true.
Am I starting school?? Maggie asked staring at us from across the sitting room. I guess she overhead our conversation
Yes baby, and you are going to look great in your school uniform, I said smiling
But I don't want to go to school, I want to stay here with you and daddy, she said sadly
You are going to stay with us, you just have to go in the morning and you will come back in the afternoon and you are going to see us, James said calmly
Will mommy come with me?? She asked hopefully
Your mommy will not come with you but I will drop you off in the morning and pick you up in the afternoon. You would see a lot of children there and it will be fun, James answered with a smile
But what if they think o am naughty?? She asked again
Why would they want to think that??? And it will be their loss because you are very awesome, I said ailing at her
Okay but you will have to give me chocolates, she said with a puppy eyes
Well, that's settled, I will just go get your form tomorrow then you can resume school next week, James said as Maggie came to sit in between us.
