I would be going to go see Ben today, James said over breakfast
Antra had called to say Maggie would be staying with her and he doesn't have a problem with it but it took him another one week to convince him to meet with them about Maggie's request. And yes you guessed right, Maggie has been with them. Anytime I go to visit, she talks like before with Antra but she spares just a few words my direction but it is better than none at all so I am happy. James speak to her over the phone since he is avoiding Ben and Antra.
Ohhh that is great, I said unsure of what to say
I would be bringing Maggie home with me, he said. He had been trying to be nonchalant about all of this but the sadness had been evident in his eyes. I guess he couldn't take Maggie being away from us just like I can't but he wants to man up about it. Men and their egos.
That would be fantastic!!! I would prepare her favorite food, I said happily with a bright smile
Ok then I would head out now, he said concluding his breakfast with an amused smile on his lips before he stood up and headed for the door
I smiled too, I mean don't judge me, it isn't everyday he Grace's me with his beautiful smile.

Mommy!!!! Mommy!!!!!!! Maggie yelled from outside before even entering the house. To say I was shocked would be an understatement. I mean this girl barely said a 100 words to me in two weeks so why is she Soo excited.
I nevertheless met her halfway in the living where we gave each other a bone crushing hug.
I missed this girl a lot, how are you Maggie, I asked as I kissed the top of her head
I am fine mommy,she said smiling. But we have to go to the market with aunty Antra, we have a lot to buy
What do you mean by a lot to buy?? I asked confused
We are getting married, he said from the sofa where he settled on
You agreed to it?? I asked him shocked
Yes I did and Fariya we have to talk but you should finish with Maggie first, he said as he stood up and headed to his room
Mommy come let's go make some chocolate cake, I missed it a lot, she said dragging me to the kitchen
I would do it on one condition, I said trying to strike a deal once we were in the kitchen
What condition?? She asked impatiently
That you would never stay a day without talking to me, I was Soo sad when you didn't talk to me, I said smiling sadly at her
I promise I won't once you and Daddy get married, I was Soo upset that you didn't want to get married to my daddy, she said
Are you taking to your Daddy now?? I asked her
Yes and he even promised to take me out to take me out to get ice cream and chocolate, she said with a wide smile
Ok then would you wait for me here while I go make a call quickly, I said patting her hair while I went to call Antra to thank her
Hey Antra, I said into the receiver as soon as she picked after the first ring
How are you?? Hope Maggie has revealed the great news to you, she said smiling. I can imagine her battling her eyes on the other end
Yes I was elated and I still am but how did James take it, how did he agree, I asked all in one
Well apparently he refused to get married because of you, she said
What do you mean by because of me?? Does he think I don't meet his class?? I asked frantically
Maybe if you shut up and let me speak you would hear what he said, she said sarcastically
Okay I am keeping quiet, tell me what he said, I said agreeing with her. My anticipation for the amebo makes me mellow
Well he said you were too good for him and that he has already ties you down with taking care of his child and giving you no time for expanding your social life, and adding getting married to him to the list is something he refused to do to you. That you should have to choose your husband and get married to someone that truly loves you and that is something he can't give to you and he wouldn't take the opportunity from you, she said
Ohh my God!!! He said such sweet things about me?? And here I was thinking it was because he is still in love with Neil. But how did you guys convince him??? I asked
Well I told him you are in love with him and he is just the man you wanted not some perfect human being, she said carefully as if she already knows my next outburst
Did you seriously tell him I am in love with him?? I whisper yelled so James wouldn't hear me
Well what would you have me do?? That was my last card and see it brought you happiness and we would both be married soon so why are you worried??
Well maybe because he just told me that we have to talk and I don't k ow how to face him now knowing that he found out I love him, I tried to hide it Soo well, I said grumbling the last part
Well you can't hide it forever, now if you would excuse me my boo is calling me and you should go meet your boo, you can even loose your virginity in the process, she said the last part slyly before quickly ending the call before I yell her ear off, the nerve of that girl
I smiled to myself before going to meet Maggie in the kitchen to bake that cake 😋

Knock!!! Knock!!!! I knocked on James door
Come in, he yelled from inside. I had put Maggie to sleep already before bracing myself to go meet James
Hey, I said as I entered the room. I looked everywhere but his eyes, now I understand it when they say the eyes of a person holds a lot of power
Sit down, he said pointing at the space beside him on the bed
As you know that I went to meet up with Ben and Antra today and I found out something, he started looking straight at me which makes it impossible for me look up, I feel Soo shy right now
Why didn't you tell me you were in love with me?? He asked me in a small voice
I didn't know how you would react, besides we weren't that close and I didn't want to jeopardize the fragile relationship between us, I said lowly
What do you think of me Fariya?? I know enough how it feels to love someone who doesn't love you and how it hurts to try to hide your feelings so the person wouldn't push you way. So why would you think I would want to do the same to you, he said in a voice that shows Soo much hurt that makes me wonder how much pain he had to go through in his one sided love
I am sorry I didn't say anything about it, I apologized
It's fine, as we both know that we would be married in two months time, I wouldn't lie to you and say I love you because that would be cheating you and ripping the word of it's sacredness. But I can promise you that I would respect and be faithful to you and try to keep you happy till death do us part and if I fall in love with you along the way, it would be fantastic, I promise to be the best husband I can be to you because you most definitely deserve the best because it is not everyday one finds a woman with a pure heart like you, he said with Soo much emotion that tears sprang up my eyes and trailed down my cheeks
Thank you Soo much, this means Soo much to me than you saying you love me, I said smiling through my tears. To say I am happy would be an understatement.
Why are you crying?? Have I hurt you in any way?? I am sorry, I didn't mean to but I can't see myself lying and saying what I don't feel, he said distraught as he wiped my tears
You didn't do anything wrong, this are happy tears
Ohh come here, he said as he hugged me close to his chest and I inhaled his scent as a smile played on my lips. I couldn't ask for more than this.
