The competition

She couldn't stop but frown. Why was he giving so much importance to Valerie's family. They were just commoners not like they could benefit his business in any way, then why? only one thought came into her mind 'has she seduced brother Leo also?'

 There was no doubt that she was beautiful. Especially her golden eyes, and black hair, it's the rarest combination she had ever seen. But what's so good about a beautiful face! She was nothing but a lowly commoner. 

Once Leo would get tired of her, he would surely come to her. She has beauty, brains and class, not just like a certain flower vase. Still she could not help but feel jealous,her fingers clenched, nails digging into her palms. But no one replied, all of them ignored her. 

They dare! Her nose flared up. She really wanted to get rid of these pests. Even Adam who was always friendly to her was not paying attention. How could she, the princess of their group, bear that!

"Brother Leo, I am hungry. Can't we sit and have food first?" She tried to increase her speed a bit, looking as natural as possible and held his hands. "Look there is your favourite dumplings shop." 

She pointed at a stall, and fluttered her lashes trying to look as pitiful as possible. Surely one would not force her to stay hungry just for playing games, Right? She would win this competition for sure, Hmph.

"Adam why don't you accompany Ellie for dinner while we play some games." Leo said Looking at Adam, meaningfully.

 Of course, Adam already understood that he wanted to assess the truth behind their words and also wanted to know more about their powers. So he accepted the offer right away.

"Sure I am also hungry, Let's go and have your favourite noodles, and also rice cakes, Come." he replied, forcing his hands to her and trying to drag her with a big smile.

 But just then, Valerie, who was already bearing a lot of grievances, also stopped walking and said. "Can I come too, I am also very hungry" although she tried to say as normally as possible but tiredness and frustration was still detected through her voice.

 She hasn't eaten since breakfast. This monster devil has kept her busy all the time. And even after working hours when he came to know that she was going to a festival fair, not only he tagged along but also brought his Friend and this lizard Ellie with him. She couldn't help but fume at the decision, he has taken and what transpired in office today.

 So even if she has to go with this monkey and lizard, she would still go and eat. Food was much more important than her pride. If she couldn't bear them anymore she could always sit at a different table. She has sufficient money to pay her bills. And it is much better to follow this devil all the time.

But just when she thought she was free from the clutches of this monster of a devil, his steps halted. "Since everyone is hungry, let's eat for now, We can play games later. I hope Mr Edmonds is not in a hurry." he said Looking at Victor, but his words stunned Ellie.

Just now, when she was pitifully requesting him to stop and eat, he didn't even pay any attention, much less replying and stopping. And now he was ready to go with them, just because Valerie said she was hungry.

 Valerie didn't even ask him to accompany her. Yet he stopped and changed his plan, just because of her. Her whole face turned red,nails even brought a bit of blood but she was too angry to care. Her jaw clenched and she kept her face low to hide the malicious intent in her eyes.

She was so angry that she didn't even realize where they were going. Since Adam was a foodie, he had eaten from everywhere, whether it was a roadside stall or seven star hotels, if food was nice he would eat without caring about his image, so he was fine with anywhere.

 So he didn't say anything, while Leo was too busy to care. His mind was in chaos. He could not stop but think about the bracelet in Victor's hand. He was sure that it was of her mother's. She always wore it, no matter what. And that day also, he was sure she was wearing it. 

But how did it end in Victor's hands? Did he really buy it from that shop, where he had pointed. He could not stop but looked in that direction. He must confirm it now, or else his mind would burst.

 But he had to wait and know more about this man. Victor was too mysterious. He was sure, Victor even wanted to know about them. The way Victor was looking at them.

And he knew about charm stones also, But how? Should he ask Noah to follow him instead? He didn't even notice that they stopped in front of a stall. But Ellie's voice again brought Leo to reality.

"Eww, are we going to eat here? Miss Valerie I understand if you cannot pay the bill, don't worry we will take care of that. After all you came with us, but can't you be a bit more aware of the people you are going to eat with. How could I and brother Leo eat at this place. It's so unhygienic, look at the open plates. Oh my god, let's go brother Leo, I can't even bear this smell anymore!"
