I Met Them And He Didn't

[Susumu], being unable to move, watches what the orbs are doing. He notices that the spheres are slowly getting closer. So close that if he raised his arm, then he would touch them. But being intimidated by whatever the giant-looking statues are, he stays as still as he can be. [Susumu] reacted this way because of his instincts, and not necessarily by his own choice.

Eventually, the orbs start to get further away from him. [Susumu] then notices this and starts to loosen up a bit because he may be safe enough to sneak off. But when he turns around, he sees that the lake is beginning to do something weird. The liquid then forms into a bubble while coming out of the hole that it was inside.

[Susumu] watches close, as it turns into a giant floating bubble. That is when he sees something red inside of the clear-ish ball. It swirls and turns as a thin line of something red gets bigger. This red line forms into more of a red fog inside the bubble. The red smog grows and grows until it occupies almost all the space in the clear-ish ball.

That's when he realizes that the bubble is not just a weird bubble that came from the lake; Yet another orb, one that's bigger than the rest. This orb is nearly triple the size of the rest. [Susumu] thinks to himself, "What the hell is happening!?"

So, confused by what he is watching, he stands in place. Being more curious about what he is seeing; He wonders if he can figure out what is going on. So far, in his head, he came up with the idea that the liquid manipulated physics itself. So, it could turn into an orb; Which makes the liquid substance more sentient and alive.

[Susumu] wonders if the orbs can make themselves into any form they want. And if they can think for themselves, then they might have a consciousness of their own. Since they do not seem to have a brain, that is his conclusion. But he eventually gets snapped out of that train of thought once he starts hearing noises.

The noises that he is hearing are coming from the large orb. And in response, he quickly looks back at it to see what it is doing. It turns out ripples were forming on the surface of the giant orb. That made [Susumu] think, "Oh shit!! I need to run!"

He immediately starts to run away. Both not wanting to get hurt and knowing he must leave eventually to go find his little brother [Fleecy]. But as he runs around the large orb, he realizes that he might have to prepare to defend himself. Because while running around the large sphere, it ripples out more and more. It even starts to get slowly wider, which brings it even closer to [Susumu].

He eventually reaches behind the large orb; After running around it for twenty minutes of trying to get away from it. But as soon as he sets foot behind it. The large sphere starts to come apart. [Susumu] notices this and immediately jumps up and turns around mid-run. And this causes the air that was building up; to push his body back quickly. As if he had got punched or moved by air.

[Susumu] manages to land but falls forward before touching the ground with his right hand. While quickly pushing himself back up to block. He notices that the large orb was splitting itself apart. He watched two sides of the sphere go in opposite directions; Which causes it to split down the middle.

[Susumu] thinks to himself, "Well, all the orbs are bigger than my whole body. So, it is nearly triple that size. Which is just too big." Inside the orb, the red fog starts to turn orange. The red smog turns itself into two different parts of the vapor; One being blood red and the other being reddish-orange. Each fog goes in the opposite direction of each other. With the blood-red fog going right and the reddish-orange gas going left.

That is when [Susumu] notices that the fog on the right looks more like blood. Thinking to himself, "There's no way that isn't blood. It is thinner than the other one, and it is as dark as blood. Wait...." [Susumu] then realizes that the blood-red fog is his blood.

That only confuses him even more. But [Susumu] is sure that it is his blood. Knowing that it was the lake he was beside. He wonders if that should be possible. And as he watches the large orb slowly split into two, in a slimy like way. He slowly looks up towards the giant statues. These statues keep making him feel like he was being watched.

Everything, feeling like a weird fever dream, [Susumu] starts to feel creeped out by everything and slowly back up. Gradually getting further and further away until he is in the forest nearby. But before taking one last step away into the trees. He notices that the blood-red orb, which is now the same size as the other orbs, is heading in his direction. He knows that it is heading towards him because it looks like it is getting bigger. Meanwhile, the rest of the orbs do not seem to be getting bigger. Not even its reddish-orange twin is following it.

Which freaks out [Susumu], and he immediately runs into the trees; Running as fast as he can. Meanwhile, [Fleecy] Had just decided to finish building the fence that his older brother [Susumu] had started. [Fleecy] thinks to himself, "If i can't protect this field. Then how can i do anything else?"

So as time goes by, he picks up the sticks and hammers them into the ground. Right where [Susumu] had put his branches in the dirt; Hammering all the sticks into the ground, one by one. He eventually gets tired, barely even finishing half of the work.

Feeling fatigued and being bummed out. [Fleecy] thinks to himself, "Is there a way to make this go by faster?" That is when he remembers something. A time before the death of their parents. [Susumu] had told him, "If you want something to be easy, then make it easy yourself." This flashback helps [Fleecy] come up with an idea.

He takes off his shirt and starts fiddling with it; Tying up his sleeves into a knot. He then grabs a piece of string that is a part of his worn-out shirt and starts pulling on the string. That action causes it to shrink a little bit, creating wrinkles.

He then starts to tie it to the left sleeve; Which turns his shirt into a makeshift bag. He then uses it to hold the sticks he gets; Which speeds up his efficiency; From five percent to twenty-five percent. That results in spending less time picking up sticks repeatedly. And more time hammering them into the ground.

So, in turn, it gives him a boost in motivation. With this new boost in motivation, he starts running to each spot he goes to; Hammering down each stick, one after another; Only focusing on his objective and nothing else.

Ignoring his surroundings completely; Only listening to the sound of a thick and sturdy stick; Hammering down a skinny and not-so-sturdy branch. And nothing other than those sounds are acknowledged by him and his ears.

With his attention on the sounds, his body focuses on the movements themselves; As it tries to memorize every single motion until it can do it both easily and effortlessly. And before he swung down his stick unto the other. He realized that he had finished building the fence. With this realization, he stopped mid-swing and came to a halt. And he drops his stick before sighing in relief. This sigh of relief helped his body relax; Which made him aware of the fatigue and muscle pain that his body was feeling.

This feeling causes him to fall on his butt. That makes him feel more pain. But because it was his butt, it hurt a lot more than his muscles did. So, he starts to whine and cry again.
