Chapter II

Watching her own magic slowly detaching her body, Alice reminisces about the powerful feeling that once flowing all over her meridian.

The small glowing particles that are coming out from her body.

The pain of losing her own magic was indescribable. The feeling of being pricked with a thousand needles, her whole body felt an immeasurable pain. She wanted to scream but no sounds came from her mouth.

Only tears that's falling from her eyes nonstop, mouth open wide - crying out a soundless voice, are the only proof of the unbearable pain that she's been through but she willed herself, clasping the main reason she wanted to achieve.

'This is the compensation of your wish Alice, so keep still and after some time, you will be free'

Alice thought to herself.

As the glowing particles from Alice's body were being collected to the Cheshire cat's opened palms - slowly forming into a round shape for him to be able to eat unbrotherly after he collected all the magic from Alice.

His eyes only focused on the thing on his palm, feelings torn by two - one is forcing himself to maintain his patience to wait for the whole magic to be eaten and the other is feeling nostalgic because, after some time, he will remember the feeling of being full because of the magic that he obtained.

After some time, Alice felt the coldness of not having her own powers circulating inside her body.

The magic that she once owned is now gone from her because of the main reason why she had made a deal with the wicked cat. Her body felt weak and she sat in the grass for some time to regain some energy for herself.

"I-is that it? Are we done here?" Alice muttered with a low tone voice, looking at Cheshire cat with an exhausted glance. Trying to get grief herself once again, she deeply breathed.

"I'm dizzy, is it because I lost my magic just like that? If that man just gives up, I won't suffer like this." she continuously complained to herself.

"If you want your power's back⸺" but Alice raised her hand, gesturing like she was trying to stop him.

"Don't say anything about magic! No one here needs magic. Right? I don't need to have magic in the human world so shut your mouth."

Alice abruptly stood up, acting like a badass. She then walked around trying to get hold of herself once again.

"Now you got my magic. What do I need to do after? Are you now going to send me to the human world? Since that is my wish exchanged for my magic."

However, Alice didn't like the next word that the magical being responded to.

He shook his head negatively, and for Alice that is very surprising. She literally widened her eyes as if she's trying to scare him.

"What are you saying, you're not gonna send me to the human world!?" She yelled angrily to the Cheshire cat. Alice was very pissed from what she realized and pulled Cheshire's cat ears angrily.

"Are you saying that you've fooled me?! Hey! Say something, damn it!" but Cheshire only let her do whatever she wanted to him until she calmed down.

"I said so! We can't trust the Cheshire cat and yet you still trusted him!" The faeries that were with Alice started to feel annoyed either.

"Lady Alice! Lady Alice! Where are you?!" The knight that was looking at Alice is now approaching the place where she is, in this case.

Alice might get caught that she made a deal with the wicked witch Cheshire.

Alice turned her head behind when she heard the noises, "H-hey! You have to bring me into the human world already! They are going to... to⸺" but when she get her attention back to the feisty cat.

The cat has already vanished, which made Alice go speechless and very shocked. Unable to say anything, she was very disappointed by what happened.

"Oh no...! Alice got fooled by the evil witch."

"Poor Alice..."

"It's a dead-end for her."

Instead of cheering Alice, the faerie is mostly saying things that make Alice regret what she did to herself.

"Cheshire. Why!?"

Soon, the knights of the kingdom found Lady Alice who was very worn out from what happened. She was walking as if her soul just left her body, she isn't even speaking.

The knights asked her what happened to her but nods are the only response.

Alice has reached the kingdom. Her mother then stepped forward, standing firmly in front of her while having a blank expression.

No one can ever tell what her mother is thinking from time to time.

"What are you doing in the woods in the middle of the night?"

With a serious tone, her mother started questioning her daughter. Her mother also noticed the cat ears that were attached in her head.

"Why did you go to that witch? Why did you accept the curse?!"

Her mother began to scold poor Alice. All she can do is to stay silent and say nothing about it.

"What is it? What is your reason! Tell me! What else did he do to you?!" but her mother isn't quite finished yet, the girl stepped back because she knew that her mother might hurt her anytime.

Everyone was so silent about the reason why Alice ended up at the Witch but one of her faeries started spouting words regarding the reason why Alice ended in that place.

"She wants to leave this place because she doesn't want to get married off to Prince Sebastian, she exchanged her magic but instead. She got fooled by the evil Witch. Now the Princess is magicless. She can no longer use any magic and is unworthy to be Magus Princess."

Alice was very surprised when one of her faerie who she trusted so much will just betray her just like that.

*Boom!*

A sudden explosion occurred, it was her mother who did it. The whole place was wrecked.

"M-mother!" Alice tried to calm her mother but unable to do so, "Alice! This will be the last time you'll ever see the outside world of wonderland. You will be locked in your room forever until you get married to the Prince!!!"

And because of anger, her mother chants a curse that will lock Alice away forever.

"A-Alice run!" another of the faeries tried to help Alice by blocking the way of the Queen. They aren't good to the punishment that was bestowed on the poor girl.

"Faeries!" Alice shouted worriedly, she was about to run when the knights interfered, blocking her way.

"Don't get in our Lady's way!" one of the faeries blew a fire to the knights.

Alice smiled at the one who helped her and nodded.

She immediately ran toward the hall exit but it was locked and the knights were guarding it.

She doesn't have any other choice but to go up to the 3rd floor of the castle.

The knights are still chasing her, "Milady Alice. Please listen to the Queen! It's for your own good!"

The knights were shouting to her concerned but the girl doesn't really care whatever they think of.

"Come⸺follow me." An illusion of a cat started to guide her way.

"C-Cheshire cat? Is that you?!" Alice was very surprised when she saw the cat before, she was very certain that the cat who was guiding her was the Cheshire cat himself.

The cat led Alice to the balcony. Alice stopped running because she knew that it was already a dead end for her.

"Jump here." the cat ordered, but Alice shook her head. "I-if I jump in there, I will die! I don't have the magic to use." being reasonable, Alice stepped backward.

The knights are approaching.

"Lady Alice! Please don't do it!"

"Trust me. Just jump!" The cat was very impatient.

"How can I even trust someone like you? You've already fooled me." she shook her head, sighed, and decided to give up.

"I will go with you, my knights." She turned her back to the cat.

"What are you doing? Don't you want to have your freedom?"

The cat tried to pursue her but Alice wasn't shaken at all. She already decided to leave the rest to her mother's plan for her.

"Tch⸺" but the cat can't really leave her be. Cheshire changed his appearance to his realm form.

With long blonde hair and those piercing red eyes, he appeared and grasped the Lady's hand.

"I-it's the witch!" Alice immediately turned her head to see the Cheshire, it was different from before.

He is looking-noble magus that has that intimidating smirk on his face.

"W-who⸺" Alice was about to ask who is he but the man suddenly pulled her, they ran together and at the edge of the balcony.

"Alice. Your name is Alice, right? I don't understand why you hate the wonderland but⸺" The man-made glances at the girl with a gentle smile.

"Alice, try to wake up from your own dream."

The two of them jumped together, into a vastly new and wonderful world where normal people live.
