"Is he dead?"
"Well, it sure looks like it"
The sounds of whispering could be heard, as Eli rouse from his slumber.
"W-who are you?"
"Oh, I'm Eve and this grumpy looking guy here is Aiden"
"Hey"
Eli stared at the two, looking back and forth before coming to a conclusion, they were weirdos.
"I'm Eli, so what do you want?"
"We were just passing by, and saw you lying in a heap of corpses"
"...I see, so your perverts"
"Wait no it isn't what it looks like!"
"But you were watching me sleep"
"Its not like we wanted to watch you.."
Chuckles escaped through Eli's mouth leaving the two confused.
"Your really funny"
"Wait! so you were messing with me?!"
"Well, you are fun to tease"
"I don't want to hear that from you Aiden!"
The three started to laugh in sync.
"So where are you heading to?"
"I'm actually lost"
"And that's why your in a forest'
"Y-yeah"
"Well your in luck, were actually heading to Luwin, a town near here"
"If you don't mind, could I tag along?"
"Of course!"
As they ventured through the forest, Eli could see a large town in the gaps of the trees. When they reached the entrance, a guardsmen approached them asking for identification.
"Could I see your identifications?"
Eve and Aiden both showed him their identifications before the guard asked for Eli's.
"I... lost mine while I was fighting monsters"
"Ah, so you should probably get it renewed at the guildhall, the big building at the right"
"Thank you"
Inside the town were narrowed streets that passed through hundreds of houses along with intersecting roads. The three walked towards the large building with the words Gilegmaesh on its sign.
"Me and Aiden here have some business to do so we'll meet up at the inn just across the street"
"Alright"
The guildhall was spacious, and filled with crowds of hunters swarming the corkboard.
"What's going on?"
"It seems someone has defeated a B Class dragon and he just arrived. I heard he has deep blue eyes just like you"
"And you are?"
"I'm Jack Foster, the guild master here"
"Hello sir, I'm here to renew my identification"
"You can go renew it at the front desk"
"Thank you very much"
Eli headed towards the what seemed to be the front desk. It was made of oak which looked to be decades old. He asked the woman there for assistance and soon finished registering for an identification. Eli had then went to the inn a crossed the streets where he would up reuniting with his friends.
"Eli! Over here!"
"I'm back"
"I just registered us in so we can go to our rooms now"
"That's great"
The inn was small but peaceful compared to the guildhall. There were tables and chairs wherever you looked, but they were all empty. It was a change of pace which made Eli sleepy so he headed towards his room. The staircase to the upper floors made creaking sounds with each step he took, echoing throughout the inn.
Eli's room was on the far corridor next to Aiden, separating the male from females. The walls were a bleak colour and had only a bed with a tiny desk. The bed was made of a wooden frame with a mattress on top. Overcome with drowsiness, Eli burrowed himself in the warm, soft sheets. Suddenly remembering the words of the guild master, Eli started to wonder about the mysterious man, who defeated a dragon. The thought of him having the same blue eyes, made Eli think it could be his brother, Kyle Neil.
"It can't be...right?"
Knocking could be heard from beyond his door, distracting him from his thoughts.
"It's me, Aiden"
"Come in"
"I need to talk with you"
"About?"
"...There's this dungeon near Mt Wallraine and it's said to have a treasure room within one of its chambers"
"And you want me to come with you because?"
"I need the money for Eve, she's.... ill"
"I see... but I'm not strong enough"
"If you could defeat those fanged wolves then I think you can survive, just think about it alright?"
Aiden left the room without listening to Eli's response.
"I guess its about time I check that game window... but how?"
"Game window open?"
