Leveling up
Abruptly waking up, Eli looked to his wound only to find bandages wrapped around them.
"I'm... alive?"
Eli roamed the room to see where he was. The room was dimly lit, almost completely empty. Even so, it felt cramped, as if the walls were closing in on him every passing minute, forcing Eli to move to the corners of the enclosed space. He took a deep breath and dropped to the floor, his hands gripping his head tightly. Tears dripped from his eyes and his whole body shook violently as if in fear. Flickers of memories rushed into his head all at once making him groan in pain. The agony made him go insane. It was like torture to him. The place felt like a coffin, meaning of a bitter death, one where you die alone and one where there is no return.
"This... is a hospital, isn't it?"
The more time that passed, the harder it was to breathe. His head began to throb, no medication could help the pain he felt. Soon, the door was slammed open.
"Eli! Are you alright?!"
Eve rushed in, panicked by the screams she heard from outside.
"I... I'm... fine now", Eli sighed.
The air seeping through the slightly open door calmed Eli down. His senses returned to normal.
"I've been wondering but... who saved us?"
"It was that party… the… Deceivers of Betrayal!"
"Who?"
"The party that killed the B rank dragon"
"Where are they now?"
"They disappeared before I could even say anything"
Just like how they mysteriously appeared, they also mysteriously disappeared.
"If you need something, Aiden is just next door and I'll be back in the inn."
"Alright", he replied casually.
As Eve left the room, Eli proceeded to check his game screen.

Eli started to laugh, however, not in a happy way. It was like a nervous laugh, one that showed Eli's fear of death. He headed towards the window, in hopes of easing the tension.
Eli stared solemnly at the window. The cold wind brushed against his face. It was refreshing.
"I wonder when I can be discharged from here..."
A few days later, Eli was discharged and able to move freely once again. He started to go to the forest. Because of the recent goblin attacks, monsters hid themselves in the shadows so it was peaceful.
(Dagger, appear)
Eli saw boars far east and automatically ran towards them, huffing... panting.
"Just stay still you damn moving meat!"
Eventually, Eli had reached the boars.
"Die!"
With a wave of his dagger, he stabbed, stabbed and stabbed until his hands were stained in blood. Shrieks came from the boars as they fell to the ground with a thump.
