CHAPTER 41

I FELT GOOD FOLLOWING THE CONSTANT TWO SOFT HANDS AGAINST MY SKIN. The action of rubbing, kneading and hitting my body really helped me relax, prepare for muscular action.

The environment was so favourable that I already made a resolution that I wouldn't be leaving anytime soon. The place it self was better than I'd seen even though it wasn't much different from the other places I'd seen. It was a warm room with soft music playing in the background aimed to aid the relaxation process and it sure was working. On average, treatment sessions tend to last for 60 - 90 minutes but today, ten were enough.

Kelly had the mind of a diva and it was a loss to the world that such a prodigy would spend her life behind closed doors in a castle like Rapunzel.

I tossed my head to the left and smiled at the beautiful woman also receiving a massage just next to me.

She had purple eyes and her dark raven hair, coiled in a bun looked so precious.

"Sick, isn't it?" she smiled positioning herself to face me.

"Tell me about it ...." I agreed.

"Who throws such a two week bachelorette party?"

"Kelly does..." I replied.

"I guess you're right. Money can take you anywhere.....even heaven....." she added the last part and I thought it was disturbing.

She laughed it off and I knew there was a story there.

To prevent awkwardness, I laughed along her lines and nodded.

"Damn Heaven..." I chuckled.

"Eleanor, right? The woman gracefully dating Adam Jenner..." she bit her lower lip and narrowed her eyes at me.

" The one and only...." I tried not to blush. I loved the choice of her words. 'Gracefully dating Adam Jenner....'

I've always known it was great to fall in love with someone like Adam. I was fortunate to have him.

"Am---"

"Misha. Misha Collins...world's famous entrepreneur.... " I rested my hand on my palm and smiled at her.

"The one and only....." she used my own words and I immediately got impressed.

"So....when's the baby coming...??" she asked getting up from the bed. I followed her actions and got up too. Wrapping our bodies in robes, we walked out of the room and bumped into many other women who were on their way in as well.

"I think I missed your point...." I repeated. Baby? What was she talking about?

"Hmm.... they say am a person who organizes a risky activity of any kind and acts substantially in the manner of a business entrepreneur. But what I've come to realise is, everything is business...." she unwrapped her towel and took a glass of water.

I was still puzzled. What exactly was she talking about?

"Am sorry but I still don't understand what you're talking about..."

"I know...you're used to balancing your gait in a stiletto on a runway.....I get to sit behind a desk and read through millions of business proposals. Investors just won't leave me alone...." she shrugged.

"So...you want me to do business?? Or you want me to find a modeling agency for you....??" I asked hoping she'd get to the point and leave. I was already sick of her.

"No-- you misunderstood. You see Eleanor, If you don't build your dream, someone else will hire you to build there's. I mean no harm but I want you to think about how much of a risk you're in, considering such a long courtship...."

"Oh My God....." I blew my cheeks and puffed the air out into my fist.

"Yeah....are you helping him build his dream or he's helping you? What's happening??? We don't see no ring on your finger and girl if you ask me....his paint must've clogged his mind somewhere...."

"Oh please...I've known Adam for a very long time now....I know how things work with him more than you do....." I whispered the last part so she doesn't get offended.

She was talking about something that Ciara mentioned to me too. Marriage.

Adam and I weren't ready for that yet and at the right time, we would do it.

Marriage was a huge responsibility and wasn't easy. It takes compromise, sacrifice, and revealing. It is threads, hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years. It doesn't happen in a day. To be fully seen by somebody, then, and be loved anyhow–this is a human offering that can border on miraculous. And I wanted for nothing more than Adam and I to border on miraculous.

My mother used to say 'Happy is the man who finds a true friend, and far happier is he who finds that true friend in his wife'. I would be more than happy to be Adams wife but I think I wasn't his true friend yet.

I had to work on that first.

"Thank you for your time....Eleanor...." she extended her hand for a handshake. Business minded woman.

"You too Ms Collins...." I replied shaking her hand emphasizing on the 'miss' just so she also knows that the words pricking me like thoughts were equally in her favour.

She was taunting me about a long courtship period when she herself was still using her father's last name. Stupid Girl.

"That's right. And it's gonna stay like that for a very long time..... I've got no time for love. Sometimes, a clear mind is always best to get ahead in life. Love will wait, your 'me-time' won't. The stress, headache and having to be accountable to the other all the time is something that's just breaking....." she smiled and turned around to leave.

"As for me, I'd rather invest my stress in a business and in return get billions of cash instead of billions of minutes in a rehabilitation center...." she waved and disappeared in the crowd.

I was still finding it hard to believe this happened.

What did she say exactly? I couldn't remember, just that she was trash taking love.

"Don't mind her. Rich bitches with always eat trash and die...." I turned my head around to see Miranda Lambert. Her arms folded on her chest as she paraded towards me.

She was slightly tall and had a think Swedish accent.

"You could say that again...." I scoffed and hand my towel on my shoulder which fell off of my head.

"Eleanor.....I think your relationship with Adam is commendable. You're both people who's earned respect in the society and....why not?" she complimented and I felt better.

Misha left a dark cloud and I was grateful to Miranda for dispersing it for me.

"I appreciate your kindness....." I smiled. She returned the smile and we walked out of the spa together.

"I am generally not a fan of art but Adam outdid me on that one. His pieces are to die for...." she began and I immediately started thinking about Adam.

"...Not just his pieces....." I replied subconsciously. Adam was handsome. His eyes looked so meaningfully magical as though awaiting to grant a wish. Under such a gaze, no woman would have remained calm. Not even me. From his sneakers to his hair, he was like superman and I knew I was the envy of a lot of women.

"ELEANOR!!!!!!!" The voice that seemed like Jeannine's shrieked all over the place. Wasn't she supposed to be on 'house arrest' as ordered by Kelly?

Miranda looked at me and I looked back at her. We simultaneously turned back to face this woman who was screaming all over the place like a lunatic.

"The dreadful name Eleanor has become the pain of my existence..." she was screaming as she approached me.

Fortunately before she could, Kelly came out of the blue and came between us.

"What the heck are you doing out here?? Didn't I say you're supposed to rest???" Kelly thundered in anger. Jeannine groaned and wished she could strangle the princess right there and then.

"I am tired of staying in the room and worst of all without my phone. All I ever do is rest and am sick of it. I also want a spa. I also want cloths from Gucci and I also want to go for a photoshoot. I don't want to take sedatives anymore and I certainly don't need saline transfusions...am perfectly fine..." she whinned.

"You can't, remember.??? You're sick. You got poisoned...." Kelly mentioned it and everyone gasped. A sweat ran down my cheek and I clenched my fingers into fists.

I didn't want everyone to know what was going on.

"No! I....I wasn't...." Jeannine finally confessed. I looked around for Ciara but she was nowhere to be seen. How was she not here? wherever she was, I hope she wasn't missing the drama.

"The report confirmed it...." Kelly defended.

"I know it's a fraudulent report...."
