CHAPTER 94

"WHO THE HELL SENT THAT?? CALL THE POLICE ALREADY...." Caoimhe shrieked and spared no minute before taking her phone out and dialing 911.

"And have it go on the news???No!" Ciara quickly grabbed the phone and hang up before the call got connected.

"What?? You can't be serious....her life is in danger and you're afraid of it going in the news???" she asked in disbelief and had I been just as naive, I would think in the same lines. Fortunately, I was not.

"Miss, right now, people just hate her name being mentioned. They will hate her for anything. If she smiles they'll call her heartless, moving on after causing a tantrum and if she's brazen, they won't stop poking her saying she deserves every drop of hell...If she cries they'll say she's despicable..." Lauren explained and snatched the picture from me, putting it back into the gift bag.

She helped me sit back on the hammock and I complied without letting out a single word.

"It's best if we just conceal it for now.....you girls wait here and I'll bring snacks after disposing off this...." Lauren carried the bag and walked to the door.

"Thanks Lauren ..." Ciara said taking out her phone and leaning close to Caoimhe, showing her something. I hugged a cushion and my memory seemed to be recovering. Vivid images of what I deemed to be true erupted in my mind in visual pictures.

"There....there was a man....." my words came out hot like an erupting volcano. They succeeded in stoping Lauren and she placed her foot back into the room.

In fact, not only her but everyone else stopped what they were doing and traded their attention to me.

"What did you just say??" Lauren asked putting the bag down and walking closer to me. Ciara did the same and walked to me, holding my hands in hers.

"You told me that you found me in Adams cottage out of town right???" I asked Lauren and she nodded.

"But if...Lane was busted, and you were sedated....how did you walk to the cottage???" Caoimhe gasped, tossing aside the pillow and joining us in the circle in the centre of the room.

They all wore anxious faces not getting the story no more than I wasn't. An odd suspension crowded the room and they looked at each other before looking at me.

"There was a man.....he's the one that saved me....." I turned to Ciara and shook her hands gently. She looked at me completely puzzled and I was confused. Was she even listening to me.

"Yeah....Adam....he was the man that saved you. You were in his cottage right...??" she asked back and I shook my head in denial.

I knew Adam very well to testify against him this time. He wasn't the one that had come to rescue me.

Some other man did.

"...No...it wasn't Adam....it was someone else....and he took me....to a... presidential suite??? Yeah ..that's what it was....it was golden and all pretty like a palace...." I continued after I remembered enough of what happened.

After the experience with Lane, I was emotionally wounded. He touched me and reduced me to a mistress. He made me seem cheap like some prostitute and violated me. I incurred a psychological injury and got a bruised ego. When I thought that he would get away with novelty, someone came to rescue me.

He knocked the door down and threatened to kill Lane if not for me restricting him. He threw the gun down and I pleaded with him to take me away.

He complied and really took me away.

I had no idea where we went but I remember waking up the same night in a golden room. It was beautiful and had the rich man aura.

My vision was still blurred but I was able to make out some of the things that were recognisable.

"My head hurts....." I cried and tried to walk off the bed but unfortunately lost my balance and fell to the floor. Warm hands held me up and I shivered realising they were from a man. Then, I remembered I didn't have any cloths on. I felt embarrassed and immediately covered myself with my hands only for me to feel some fabric.

"Who .....who...put me... cloths...on?" I struggled to formulate a sentence and hoped he understood what I intended to know anyway.

"The maid. I asked her to do it....." he replied his voice like many waters. It was firm and very strong, enough to summon a pack of lions in one roar.

He placed me on the bed and covered me with the silk soft sheets which I pushed away. I was feeling hot. My skin was literally burning and I was afraid it would peel off leaving blisters. The heat was unbearable such that I began waving my hands over myself.

"Why is it so hot here???" I sat up and tried to look around the room for the air conditioning system. I pushed my heavy body to the edge of the bed when he pulled me back up.

"Where are you going???"

"It's....boiling in ....her--e..." I struggled to reply again.

"The air-conditioning system is on to the lowest temperature. Don't worry about a thing....it'll soon be cool in here...." he assured me and I trusted him. Whoever this man was, he had done me a huge favour and I couldn't wait to get back to my normal self and thank him very much.

He was a heavenly given blessing for me and it was unfortunate that I couldn't see his face clearly.

In a surprise turn of events, my wobbly body and tottering limbs ran over him and pulled my whole body close. I couldn't understand why but I felt a rush of desire stiring up in me that needed satisfaction. I couldn't do this alone and needed help. Since he was here, he would help me out.

"Uh...please...lie down...I'll go call the doctor again.....she must've been here by now...." he took my hands off of him and got up to leave.

"No no...please don't leave...no...." I cried holding onto his hand tightly. The image of the huge man kept coming to my mind and scaring me. I was already finding it hard to differentiate what was real and what wasn't meaning the interference of another would prove a powerful threat.

"I...I won't be gone too long ..."

"No please ... he'll come back....you have to save me....he's going to use me....please don't leave...." I threw a tantrum like a toddler. I couldn't stop looking left and right although I couldn't really see. My eyes were teary and I was all jittery. Goosebumps everywhere and even the hairs on my skin became erect. I clung to his shirt my long nails tearing the fabric landing my hands on his skin. I hushed down after I saw him sit back down next to me and pulling me into a hug.

"I won't leave...." His words seemed true and even if they were a hot lie I'd still nod and believe him. His voice carried authority which everyone else lacked. It carried finesse and truth. There was just something about his pronunciation that got me.

I raised my fingers and placed them on his cheek, causing him to jerk the moment my finger tips burnt his cheeks.

My vision got better I could make out from the silhouette he was a good looking man. I began feeling sleepy and dozed off second to second.

Unknowingly, I found my mouth locked with his in a terribly frightening kiss that eventually made wake up.

We both pulled apart immediately but clasped back the next second with none of us wanting to let go. He kissed me again and again and again with every attempt proving to be greater and sweeter than the previous one. I did the same. I kissed him back, again and again driving all my energy into it---not wanting it to end.
