Day Two Of Hel- School

Soon after goofing around, Jake got ready for school along with Andrew and they left Jake's house.

The walk from his residence to school, and back, for Jake was always silent so walking to school with a chatterbox was something that Jake wasn't accustomed to. Andrew on the other hand, had forgotten about whatever eerie situation that took place at Jake's residence the night before. Right now, he was ranting about how much he hates this girl in class and how he has to act nice around her because his and her father are friends.

"Like, she gets up all in my face. I don't feel safe near her and if there was a violent protest that happened here, I wouldn't hesitate to leave her there... alone." Andrew continued ranting.

"Don't lie. Just yesterday you were concerned over some stranger being harassed. Why did you express genuine concern?" Jake asked deadpanning, with a face which said, 'Why act so modest? Just... why?!'

Andrew stared back at Jake in disbelief, "Oh! You notice things too?"

"Welcome to the real world, my guy." Jake joked.

"Oh, you joke as well?" This time Andrew asked genuinely curious.

"Well, my name is Joke for a reason!" He kidded while Andrew didn't laugh.

"Your name is Jake though." Andrew corrected.

"No one gets their name wrong." Jake or... Joke, laughed and lightly smacked Andrew's shoulder waking ahead of him while Andrew just stood there in disbelief and confusion.

Andrew, for the rest of the walk, dazed out.

He was overwhelmed with... Jake.

At Class

Jake sat down at his seat and slammed his books on the table; Andrew eyed him weirdly from a distance.

A new boy with light purple hair entered the class behind the teacher.

"Good morning class. I want you all to meet your new classmate. Introduce yourself." She spoke uninterested.

"H-Hi! I'm Luke Willis! I hope we all get off on the right foot." The spoke.

"Yeah, yeah. If anyone's got anything to ask, raise your hand and ask... okay, no one? So sad, Luke. Now, go take a seat." She dismissed him and the students who had their hands up put them down in embarrassment.

Luke sat next to Jake. Jake distanced himself from Luke, Luke eyed him judgingly; Andrew watched this scene unfold in curiosity.

"Hi, I'm-"

"What are you doing here, Luke?" Jake asked in confusion and anger.

"Huh? What do you mean?" He asked innocently, tilting his head like a puppy.

"Sorry, I think I mistook you for someone else." Jake apologised, not buying Luke's words.

Jake turned his head towards the teacher yet still side-eyed the purple-haired boy next to him. Every two or three periods Jake turned towards the direction where Andrew was sitting and every time he looked back, he found Andrew staring. Jake stared back, reciprocating the stare he was facing.

At around lunchtime, Luke pulled Jake with him all the way to the football field.

"WHY DID YOU BRING ME HERE?" Jake harshly pushed Luke's hand, releasing his hand from Luke's tight grip.

"I want to be friends. Besides that... you're supposed to be my guide as I have newly transferred here." Luke smiled warmly at Jake which just made him scowl at Luke.

"How did you know where the football field was?" Jake narrowed his eyes.

"It was pretty obvious." Luke shrugged.

"Tell me what remaining classes you have. I'll show you to them then please stop bothering me." Jake sighed.

"Sorry for being such a bother." Luke mumbled.

"You should be." Jake blatantly replied, embarrassing him.

Luke started talking about what classes he had next and Jake started walking.

Meanwhile, in the cafeteria, Andrew couldn't the scenario of Jake and Luke talking. At the current moment, he was just squeezing the hell out of his banana.

"I don't know what you're thinking about but you're killing that banana." A friend snapped him out of his thoughts.

"Sorry." Andrew apologized, still slightly dazed.

"What are you even thinking about?" Another friend questioned.

"I'll talk to you all later." Andrew ignoring his friend's question, mindlessly walking towards exit of the cafeteria.

He just walked where his feet lead him. It's like all the self-control he had, got lost.

After some time of walking around aimlessly, he heard some voices. One of them was very familiar to him while the other... not so much.

Before approaching Jake, he stopped as he heard, "Was the guy staring at us in class... Andrew was it? What are you two? Are you guys da-"

Jake smacked his hands on Luke's mouth before he could say something more.

"I feel like if there was any chance of love, it would've come by now. Now if someone approaches me with a bouquet of flowers or something, my first reaction would be to smack for being too late and smack them into their senses with their own gifts- but if it's someone I like then sure." Jake stated straightforwardly.

Both Luke and Andrew seemed to be taken aback at the sudden change in his tone of voice.

"Well, what's your next class?" Jake asked uninterested.

"A-After this is... Music, Math, Biology and then Art." He read out.

Jake nodded and started walking towards the exit. Andrew, who saw Jake coming in his direction, just stood there frozen.

"What are you doing here?" Jake blankly asked Andrew.

"Nothing!" Andrew squeaked out and ran away, embarrassed.

"Hey! Wait! Comeback!" Jake ran after him.

Meanwhile Luke's presence was forgotten and he was left all alone in the classroom.

Andrew's Point Of View

I need to stop but I can't stop. My legs couldn't take a rest from running. There was no reason to run but was there any excuse for me to give as an answer to him? I didn't have that either.

"ANDREW, FOR PETE'S SAKE STOP RUNNING!" Jake shouted from behind, catching up with me.

"Finally.", Jake exhaled, "Now, why were you listening to a private conversation?" He started interrogating.

"I was just... " I trailed off and looked at him.

He raised a brow, indicating he wanted me to continue my sentence.

"I-I was just... I was... I couldn't control myself from walking mindlessly and my legs stopped right at the moment I heard you and Luke talking." I explained.

"Okay but don't forget how I beat you up. It was just yesterday." Jake threatened me, yet again.

"Can you stop threatening me? It's getting scary." I joked.

"Can you stop stepping over boundaries? It's getting on my nerves." Jake joked back.

"I will, if you will." I held out my pinkie.

"Deal." He linked his pinkie with mine and we both laughed like kids.

Third Person's Point Of View

"Yeah, I found him but let's just initiate the plan 3 to 4 months later. The target is quite interesting to observe."
