Ancient Temple in the Tanah Agra (3)

"The Holy Flame goes out?" Lady wanted to make sure her ears weren't wrong.

"That's right. I saw it myself." Lycan nodded.

A delighted smile immediately spread all over Lady's face. But that smile lasted a few seconds only. Lady's face turned gloomy as before. The feather fan in her hand seemed to be swinging very slowly in front of her chest.

"Wait a few more days. I don't want rashly attack Tanah Agra." Lady gave the order and Lycan bowed obediently.

"Anyway, what about Lucie?" Lady suddenly remembered that traitor of Samsara.

"Lucie is in Tanah Agra." Lycan replied.

"Very well, we can take care of him and the Dragons all at once," growled Lady.

The long wait seems to be going on forever. Rihan hasn't come out yet while the Dragons can't go inside to the ancient temple. That place seemed to be sealing itself off from the outside world. Not letting anyone disrupted.

"Our ancestral records don't write that the temple will seal itself when it doesn't find any suitable candidate worthy of being the High Honor one." Julius concluded after reading almost all the old records in the castle's library.

"What if all the Dragons have tried and still naught?" Raka asked.

"Throughout the history of the Dragons, up until now, there are only 2 High Honor Dragon. The first is Vaiskyler the Great, the ancestor of the Vaiskyler family. Then the second is a dragon with a passive fire power. No further details about him. It is only written that he died at young age and his Holy Flame is a blaze eternally till this day." Julius reread an old record.

"Do you think big bro is still struggling in there?" Raka closed the book and put it on a pile that had risen.

Julius didn't dare to answer. Neither of them dared to imagine what was going on inside the ancient temple. What actually happened to Rihan.

"Your mom is still waiting out there." Julius said when he saw the spark of bonfire which still burning in front of the ancient temple.

Raka took a deep breath. "You know, who felt the most responsible when big bro decided to join Samsara?" He asked out of sudden. "Mom blamed all to herself. She considers herself failed to protect big bro. And since after that, my father has also become more and more strict in educating me." Raka answered his own question.

"When I was little I've always wondered why we were both treated so differently. My father is so disciplined with me while he doesn't seem to care about big bro. I don't think it's fair that I train hard every day while he can go out and play freely." Raka paused for a moment to reorganize his thought.

"After Samsara collapsed, I thought I managed to kill the traitor of the Dragons. I was so proud that time. My hatred for years was finally paid off. But you know, before big bro fell right to my feet, he put on a relieved face as if his job was finally done. I didn't understand why and just ignored it until midnight when I was awakened by the voices of my dad and mom." Raka continued.

"They had a big fight. It was the first time I saw mom and dad actually talking to each other after a long cold relationship between them. But somehow, I feel happy. I thought they would forever treat each other like strangers and not going to talk to each other." Raka suddenly smiled a little when he remembered that day.

"Also, that night I saw my mom cried profusely and dad became so silent. Sentences such as protecting and failure are repeated over and over again." Raka not going to forgot the scene he saw that night.

"Failed to protect Daniel." Julius chimed in and Raka smiled as a yes.

"Because of that argue, I learned the fact that we were born under a very different condition. I'm starting to hate myself why I'm not giving him a chance to explain. That's why I decided to run away and look for the remaining trace of big bro when he was still in Samsara. Thinking I'm starting to understand him a bit." Raka muttered to himself.

Rak looked outside the window. "Knowing big bro is still alive, of course the happiest are mom and dad. Even though it was impossible to pass the test, dad still agrees with your bet." He smiled in happy.

"Really? I'm pretty optimistic that Daniel can do it in one blow." Julius disagreed.

Raka laughed a little as he stood up. "It's impossible, big bro don't even has tribal tattoo symbol…" The next second Raka retracted his words. Didn't Rihan Daniel prove himself by being able to go inside?

"Actually, I've seen it. Only a glimpse." Julius spoke plainly.

"Big bro really has the symbol?" Raka asked quickly with an enthusiastic look.

Night turns to dawn...

Lost of counting in how many times the sun has reappeared. The new day should start with joy, but the days don't seem letting this sacred land rest a bit.

Today it is raining heavily. Alvi brings 2 umbrellas to the ancient temple. Freya Natalia Gray was still at there for 4 days. "Auntie…." Alvi approached Freya. She kneeled down and shared her umbrella. With one light movement, she tightly embraced the figure which she had considered as her own mother.

"Auntie, Ryan must be fine. He definitely can… he'll definitely come back…." Alvi don't know where the belief came from that make her dared to say something bold like that. Maybe because she and Rihan unconsciously used to live together under the same roof. The roof which is called Samsara's.

"Ryan never let anyone down." Alvi couldn't fool her little heart even though a few days ago she hardly refused to believe to that man.

In the middle of the conversation, a commotion at the foot of the castle was heard mixed with the torrential rain. Either by fate or indeed Beta Urora is a cruel land. The Arinas once again attacked Tanah Agra. This time they came together along with the raindrops.
