At the end of the day, once I was done practicing my magic and enchanting I got dressed and went to bed after dinner. 'All I hope for is that tonight is better than last night.' I felt an odd sensation in my legs followed shortly by a loud purring. I tried to lift my head but was too tired to do it. 'Oh well, this is tomorrow Me's problem.' and after a while, I drifted to sleep.

I woke up from another cold sweat-inducing dream. The dream was similar to the last one with a few differences, I woke up and went to a palace and met a King, the King was a bunny demihuman instead of a demon, there was no fight, and the dream ended when I was assassinated. Other than that the dream was the same. After I wrote the dream down on some paper I forgot it and went outside to practice some magic.
After a lot of compilation about enchanting and the useless circle magic I created, a potential idea came to mind. 'None said I couldn't use the flesh for the material, there is no way something bad can happen, Mom wouldn't teach me something so dangerous to my well being, right? I'll start with some wild animals first.' So I started on a project to turn useless circle magic into something useful. But since I'm feeling tired of researching magic I decided to explore the forest. It has been a bit since I went into the forest, and my mom stopped giving me mini-quests after she started schooling me.
Before I left for the forest, I made sure that my parents knew that I would be gone for a while but would be back relatively soon. "Ok, be safe, and don't get yourself killed." They jokingly said. 'At least they care for me?' I packed my bags and left for the forest.
Two hours later and I found a place where I could both practice magic and use magic. It was a large clearing in the forest, a large hill in the middle with a river nearby, and its rich in mana. 'A likely place for a mana spring to be.' the feeling of laying in natural mana was amazing, 'A little too good, I felt like I was going to fall asleep and not wake up.' After a little warm-up, I started to set up a few traps that vary in sizes near the large hill, 'don't want to use experimental magic on myself, so I'll just use a wild animal.' I walked some distance back and admired my handy work of magical and physical traps 'This is good, If I'm lucky I might even catch a magical beast.'
I added some bait to the traps and hid in a bush large enough to hide my whole body while suppressing my mana so I wouldn't scare away any magical beast that might be able to sense me. Two hours passed before I saw a large squirrel get near one of my traps, the trap was magical, it had nuts and some random fruits and vegetables I found on my way there.
The squirrel hesitated before it fully entered the trap, the squirrel only had enough time to pick up one nut before multiple shadows like tentacles held it down. The squirrel started to squeal and squirm as the tentacles got tighter, the tentacles then slithered around its neck before it snapped it, causing the squirrel to go quiet and limp. 'Wow, that was a little gruesome. I thought it would just kill it quickly.' since that was the first time I was able to use my magic on a living thing I did not know what to expect. 'It needs to kill quicker.'
Despite the grossness of the trap, I was happy that it worked properly. While walking to my first catch of the day, a sudden and large pain came from within my leg, the pain caused me to fall over, grab my leg, and writhe in pain. "What the hell?!" I looked at my leg and saw no visible wound witch caused me to wonder what is hurting me. "F-Fuck this," I firmly grabbed each side of my leg and chanted, "[O pie Deus, sana vulnus meum]. Fast heal"
I continued to chant this verse over and over again until I saw what was causing my pain. "Why is T-There glass in my leg?" A long glass shard was slowly coming out from my leg, and it hurt like hell. I continued to chant relentlessly, only allowing for quick breaths and screams of anguish between each chant. The ten minutes it took to get the glass peace out of my leg felt like ten hours, but none the less it's finally out, and the pain subsided. 'I'm glad I memorized that verse, since my hands were tied with holding onto my legs, I would not have been able to heal the wound without the verse.'
'Damn, that hurt like a buttcheck on a stick dude.' I sat up after a couple of minutes and examined my leg. 'The blood in the way makes it look like shit, but at least it's closed up.' I looked at the large blood-covered glass shard and picked it up to examine it. 'Looks like part of a glass bottle, a healing potion's bottle to be exact.' After wiping the blood off of the glass, I realized that it's not just on the glass, but IN it too. There were even a few blood vessels running through it, 'Did it infuse into my body?' Running mana through my eyes I saw faint lines similar to mana veins, My suspicion was confirmed when I looked at my leg and saw a large cavity in my leg, the cavity quickly closed as my mana veins were healing.
Putting the glass shard away I went back over to my catch and released the magic trap. The kill was clean, only a snaped neck but a quick healing spell made it an easy fix. 'Now I have a nice, "willing" subject, to practice on.' the first spell I used on the squirrel was body-altering magic, around the third and fourth rank. The spell took effect immediately and its brown squirrel tail started to grow, its bones were making loud cracking sounds and the fur kept falling out and growing back until it became a cat's tail, the squirrel's body was significantly smaller than before. 'Well, that was gross.'
End.
