..... love remains greater than everything else .....

Emily can only let out a sigh, "Fine just take a rest for today, you can ask that question yourself to Mr. Kim." She then called the other 2 newly hired workers, "I'll take my leave now, if you have any concern you can ask any one of the regular workers here."

"Take care then," Mila said then the other 2 said their goodbyes as well.

"I'll get inside the quarters now," said Samuel.

"Sure," replied Amor.

Mila who is resting on the sofa called Amor's attention, "So we are the secretaries of our masters then?"

Amor sat beside Mila, "I guess so."

"We may not be able to have a relaxing time again like today, might as well take advantage of it. I'll get inside the quarters now."

"Yeah, I'll just stay here for a while," and Amor was left alone sitting on the sofa.

"You must be one of the newly hired," a woman in her early thirties sat beside Amor. "I'm Layla the laundrywoman."

"Ah..... yes I'm Amor," she introduced herself with a shy smile.

"What are you hired for?"

Thinking about it for a couple of seconds Amor then responded, "Oh..... personal secretary."

"For whom?"

Amor took a deep breath first, "For Mr. Kim."

"I see, well I've been here for a year now and I understand what you're feeling now after all they're foreigners. At first glance, you may want to prefer Mrs. Kim but as you get to know Mr. Kim more you'll be grateful that he's your direct supervisor."

"Uhm..... thanks, I think I can learn a lot from you."

"Don't mention it, we've seen a lot of people come in and out of this room. If you'll survive the month then good, if not then we'll just have to move on right?"

"What made you survive?"

"My reason to work."

Amor then remembered to call her family, "I hope it will really be that easy, thanks though I'll get inside the quarters now."

"Sure, see you around."

When Amor went inside the quarters Mila is already resting, thus she arranged her belongings first then dialed Evelyn's number. As soon as Evelyn answered, Amor went outside the balcony to get a better signal and so that she can't disturb the others.

"Hello, Evelyn."

"Hello, Amor. How was it?"

"Yeah, I got hired."

"Good, by the way, the kids might have been back from school now. I'll call you back once I'm at your house already, okay?"

"Ah, thanks for that Evelyn yes please I'll wait for your call," then she ended the call.

After a few minutes, Amor's phone rang, and seeing Evelyn's caller ID she answered the call right away, "Hello?"

"Hello, ma?" it was Henry.

"Oh..... Henry how are you? How are your siblings?? How's your father???"

"We're fine, I heard you got hired."

"Uhm..... yeah so it's both bad and good news then."

"It's okay ma, I understand. Don't worry aunt Evelyn is here, we'll just wait for you."

Trying to hold back her tears Amor fought back her urge to speak to her other children, "Can you give the phone to your aunt Evelyn then?"

"Ah..... okay."

"Hello, Amor."

"Hello, Evelyn thank you so much for helping us out. Don't worry I won't call every day so that we won't bother you that much, but if there's anything you need to tell me please let me know right away, okay?"

"Don't worry about it too much, just take a rest there okay?"

"Thanks again, bye for now."

"Bye," and Evelyn ended the call.

Amor stayed on the balcony for a while thinking about her children and what she could have been doing now if she was back in her home.

"Hi there," a man in his late thirties joined with her on the balcony.

"Ah..... hello," Amor guessed in her thoughts he might be the cleaner.

"I'm Matthew the housekeeper for the 2 units, you must be one of the personal secretaries then?"

"Oh..... yeah. I'm Amor," she introduced herself with a shy smile.

"For whom?"

Amor took a sigh first, "For Mr. Kim."

"Uhm..... why not take the rest of the day off. Mr. Kim is usually up and running by 6 am, for sure you will have a long day tomorrow."

"Ah..... thanks, I'll get inside the quarters now."

"Sure, see you around."

Amor can't seem to go to sleep because it is the first time since she got married that she is sleeping alone and in someone else's house. Her thoughts are busy thinking of possible scenarios that may happen on her first day of work the next day.

Driiiiin. Driiiiin. Driiiiin.

Amor was awakened by the sound of an old alarm clock, she then checked the common clock on their wall and it is already 5 am. Layla's bed has been made up so it means she is awake already. Chloe is tidying up the books on the study table so it means she is getting ready to tutor the Kim's daughter. Mila just finished fixing her bed, "I'll check if the bathroom is still in use."

"Oh..... yeah you go first then."

"Hey, you must be Mr. Kim's personal secretary?" a woman in her late twenties greeted Amor.

"Uhm..... yes. I'm Amor," she introduced herself with a shy smile.

"I'm Chloe, Chaewon's tutor the Kim's 9-year-old daughter. We secretly call her "The Heiress," she tittered.

"Ah....." Amor giggled with her.

"But don't call her that out loud, okay? You'll understand soon," she chortled.

"Oh..... okay," Amor cackled.

Outside the quarters, everyone seems busy attending to their own business. Amor made sure she is up and running by 6 am just like what Matthew said yesterday.

Bringg. Bringg. Bringg.

The house telephone rang but Amor hesitated to answer the call.

"I'll take it," said Matthew.

"Hello? Uhm..... joh-eun achim gimssi (Good morning Mr. Kim). Yes, she's here. Okay," and Matthew put down the phone.

"Mr. Kim needs you to go to the other unit."

"Ah....., okay thanks," Amor then left and headed to the next unit. Standing outside unit 615, she straightened her tee and leggings the only casual comfy outfit she can afford to bring with her. Pressing her lips, she took a deep breath and lightly knocked on the door thrice. Do Yun opened the door, with a body shape that appears rather muscular and looked sleek in his ripped jeans.

She only waited seconds outside the door but it seems she has been waiting for so many years to feel the way she is feeling right now.
