A weird Dream

WOOSH...was the sound I heard when I opened my eyes. There it was a valley. It was a valley with just grass and a tree.

It looked nothing like my Village where it was cold.

"What happened to all the snow, "I thought.

The sky was so clear and everything was so quiet. Like I was in another world.

"The sky's so blue and pretty," I thought

I felt my head on the nice grass and feeling the heartbeat of the earth. It felt as if time stopped, there were no clouds in sight...just the blue sky, it felt nice to be in such an empty environment. So valleys can even be pleasant during the war I thought.

As I closed my eyes imagining I was floating, I felt the WOOSH sound again.

When I opened my eyes there sat next to me a little girl with black hair as long as a river and eyes as red as blood...just like me.

"hmm..how pretty," she said.

I glanced at her she was lying down next to me looking at the sky. She then turned to me which startled me.

"you think so to don't you," she said.

"yea...I guess"

"I would love to see what's up there," she said.

"In..in..space"

"no...the heavens," she said.

I stayed silent for a while then I asked.

"where I am"

"Welcome to nowhere"

"nowhere?"

"Yes, the Celestial orbit of your hallucinations,"

"Wait so I'm in my head,"

"Basically,"

"and you are"

"I'm nobody"

The girl got up and started walking down the valley.

"where are you going"

"down the path where I belong, I think its time you go back to the path you belong"

"wait don't just lea-"

WHOOSH, there was the sound again and everything was pitch black.

I opened my eyes to me lying on the snow with frostbite when I looked at the sky it was all cloudy and snow was falling.

So it was just a dream I thought.

"LUCIFER" screamed Anne.

"huh, what is it?"

"Why are you in the snow you can get a fever you know"

"Sorry I just fell asleep"

"Nanny is gonna get so mad, cmon let's go, and why are you so fazed out"

"I just had this really weird dream is all"

"really what was it"

Before I could say anything, I felt a snowball hit my face.

"HEY DEMON GO TO HELL WHERE YOU BELONG!!" said a kid throwing snowballs at me.

"hey leave him alone" Anne yelled.

Anne took my hand and we started walking back to Riko Village.

"Gezz kids are so immature," Anne said while walking.

"You're a kid too you know"

"Well I'm mature, just because you have features that aren't human doesn't give people the right to criticize you"

"Well, I have red demon eyes so I wouldn't be surprised if people cut my head off."

Anne stopped walking and turned to me grabbing me.

"Don't you ever think that, your human, you have a heart and you're a nice person too"

"Then why do people throw rocks and push me around all the time"

"because people these days...are just blind to see the good in others"

Anne turned around and started walking, I followed her.

We came home to see Nanny at the stove making soup.

"SOUP again," Anne said.

"Why can't you be like Lucifer and not complain."

"Lucifer eats anything but I'm sensitive with what I eat."

Nanny scolded Anne and told her to be thankful for what she has.

Nanny took me in when I was a baby, she said when I was an infant, she had found me at her doorstep. Anne too was an orphan and took her in. Nanny worked in the fields and was a school teacher. She raised me and Anne and gave us a nice home we never had. She was pretty old probably 65, but she was still pretty even with wrinkles and gray hair.

"Nanny is it because there isn't enough money left, "I said.

"No it's just the soil is so damp that the Fall Harvest didn't go so well"

"Oh I see"

"Well, our Lucifer is turning 12 in a week so he'll be old enough to go on the field," Anne says while scoping a bowl of soup for herself.

"Yes, your quite right, "Nanny says.

I paused and was quiet not wanting to say anything.

Nanny's hazel eyes looked at me with warmth, that was one thing about Nanny, she cared about me when no one else did.

"What's the matter Lucifer"Nanny says.

"Um...well"

"Is everything ok?"Anne says while slurping her soup.

"Umm...I was thinking about joining the Warrior League"

Anne stopped drinking her soup, and Nanny was in shock.
