It was late at night. The white moon hid behind waves of black clouds, the strong winds and the howels of the nighty predators resonated throughout the entire forest, It was much darker inside where towering trees covered the entire area, yet a small bamboo house was built at the center of the forest.
Inside the bamboo house, an old man was laying on the bed with a pale face and trembling hands, his hard coughing could be heard from time to time.
"I... I feel guilty and ashamed!" The old man muttered under his breath.
"Master, I have made my decision a long time ago. I have no regrets." A man sitting beside him answered with a calm voice. The Man had a long black cloak that covered his entire body and a straw hat on his head.
"Then, I shall transfer the demons seal to you." The old man took out an ordinary-looking ring.
"You know how to use it." The old man said after handing it to the cloaked man.
"Master, I will not disappoint you." The man said with confidence. He wore the ring in his right hand.
"Remember, you are now the new patriarch, and the last member of our sect, The Crimson Clouds. As the late descendants of the poison sage, our sole goal right now is to imprison the 33 demons again." The old man said strictly.
"I will always remember that, master."
"And don't forget! The most important thing is your life." The old man said with a small smile.
"Rest assured, Master. I will always be careful."
"Cough! Cough! Then, this old man shall take his leave. Jin, Thank You!" The old man said weakly in a quiet voice. Deep Gratitude could be seen from his old eyes.
In a slow-motion, the light of life began to disappear from the old man's pupils. His eyes began to dim until his last breath.
"Master! I won't let you down." Jin said with reddened eyes. This man had raised him from a young age. He not only considered him as a teacher but also as a father.
"DAG!" "DAG!"
Outside the bamboo house, Jin dug the ground, he buried his master inside before refilling the grave with the brownish soils.
"Master! I pray to the god that you rest in peace." Jin said with a solemn face. He stood still in the darkness for a while, praying quietly.
After some time, Jin finally began to move. He entered the bamboo house and looked around emotionally. He spent his childhood and grew up here, it was where he felt warm and the place he called home, but now! He needed to burn it down to hide any traces and destroy any signs of them living here. He needed to erase his past here, so it won't bite him back in the future.
"SHSHSH"
After walking out of the house, Jin set it on fire. He watched as the flames danced wildly around the house. After some time, the former house has finally turned completely into gray ashes.
Jin turned his back and walked into the dark distance, where a huge, brown bull was waiting beside a towering tree. Several bags and iron cases were attached around the huge bull's body. Even though they looked heavy, still the huge bull stood effortlessly without any tiredness.
"Jumbo! time to move." Jin said to the brown bull.
"Yes, master." The brown bull answered with a respectful voice.
Soon, the two began to move out of the forest. Even though the forest was filled with predators at that time, still there was no one got in their way. They had long known how terrifying that human is.
"KSH KSH KSH"
The sound of the bushes being cut was heard. Jin swung a small ax and slashed it towards the tall grasses. Fortunately, it didn't take long before the two has reached the outskirts of the forest where the grass is shorter.
"Jumbo! Let's stop for a while." Jin said.
"Okay."
Jin went towards Jimbo and began to take out several weapons from the iron cases. Jin knows how dangerous it is outside the forest. After all, this forest was his playground but the other areas weren't. He began to equip himself with various types of weapons, the most notable thing was the longbow and the arrows quiver behind his back.
"Let's continue," Jin said.
'Yes." Jumbo replied.
"We are getting close to the exit of the forest. Jumbo, be prepared for any dangers." Jin said strictly.
"Don't worry master," Jumbo said with confidence. He understands his master well, being cautious was never a bad thing.
"Here we are." Jin thought to himself as they exited the forest. What met them was a series of massive mountains, it was the sky mountains range. There were no more trees but only the short grasses and some plants, yet Jin didn't lower his guard, he knows how dangerous this place is, the mountain range was the home of many dangerous beasts. The three-headed black wolves were a common threat in this part of this area. They were not only strong but also moves in packs.
"I can easily defeat several wolves, but it's impossible for me to defeat a pack of two hundred wolves." Jin thought to himself. At least for now as he didn't have the suitable weapons and enough arrows to engage in a mass battle.
Luckily, the sky mountain range was quite massive in size, so it was rare to meet the wolves.
Slowly, the sky started to brighten bit by bit as the night began to disappear. The sun raised above the mountains, sending its silky rays underneath, and announcing the beginning of a new day.
It was a beautiful and warm sight. Unfortunately, a low growl ruined the dreamy atmosphere.
"A three-headed wolf scout." Jin raised his head in alarm. A huge wolf with three-headed was standing atop a nearby hill, and looking at them fiercely.
"SWOOSH"
Jin didn't give it a thought before releasing a series of quick arrows towards the black wolf.
"WHOOSH"
Hearing his instinct screaming in danger, the black wolf turned around to flee. It only needed to run for a short distance to reach its pack location, The black wolf thought inwardly.
"You won't escape."
