Trapped

"If I find something at his house I could really nail Hannya. Then I can be done with this mess." I had stopped crying for five minutes, my eyes were still red. I sat on my bed, deep in my thoughts. "Then I'll finally have some peace. She won't bother me and I can go back to life." What really was life though? My only "friend", if you could call Noah that, was pretty much gone and I would just go back to moping and lethargically completing my classes.

"No no no!" I heard Hannya's voice coming from the closet a second before she jumped out and latched onto my shoulders, shaking me silly. "You can't do that! Don't you understand I did that for your own good? You only need me!"

This bitch. First she stresses me out and makes me feel responsible for getting Noah hurt and now she's says it's for my own good? I usually wouldn't think about hitting women but I was so close to smacking her. I pushed her off my bed and quickly ran to my drawer and pulled out a knife I had used to cut a sandwich with.

"Get out of my house now! You crazy bitch!" I yelled at her. Who would have thought that saving a cute girl would cause me such trouble. "I should have left you in that alley instead of saving you! You're a cancer who ruins everything!"

Hannya was still sitting on my floor, her short black hair was covering her eye. She was shaking and clenching her fists. My face turned White as I knew this was the moment I messed up. She was definitely going to kill me.

"You're... so mean!" I heard Hannya sobbing and it made me flinch. She looked up for a second before wiping her face with her sweater sleeve. It took me off guard. This was the most awkward situation I had ever been in my life. She needed some help. I'm not dumb enough to think I could provide it for her, Hannya needed a professional. Dangerous? Yes. In need of a psych ward? Definitely.

Even though it felt a bit uncomfortable to kneel down so close to someone dangerous, I did and I kept the knife lose to my side. "Look, I-I'm Sorry but you need help. This isn't normal. Hurting people like that isn't normal. You still have hope, you haven't killed anyone yet. If you admit th-"

Hannya stopped sobbing immediately and starred at me with the scariest look I had ever seen from her. She kicked the knife out of my hand and grabbed it from the floor.

I tried turning around and running for the door but I tripped on my luggage bag. When falling, i hit my head against the wall. It took me a few seconds to get acquainted to my surrounding again but it was too late. Damn it! Hannya has somehow found enough time to tie my legs with some rope, I assume she had it in the closet. Even with all my struggles she tied my arms to my chair.

"Hey untie me! I'm warning you!" I tried freeing myself from my chair, kicking all I could. I shouted at her, though she didn't seem to listen as she tightened my wrists.

"Sorry this must be hurting you Caleb." She grabbed a soft hand towel from the restroom and put it between my wrists and the rope. "Now that's better." She sighed and sat cross-legged. She continued staring at me.

"Hannya. Let. Me. Go. Now."

She frowned and placed her hand beneath her chin. "No. You're mine. You'll understand someday. I'll call you out sick for next week and after that it'll be winter break. I'll think of something else once school starts up again. She smiled sweetly and fiddled with her hair, showing how excited she was. No this can't be. I'll get out somehow. There's no way I'll be stuck in my house with this crazy bitch for the rest of winter.

"Why are you doing this?"

"Because I love you," she blushed. "I'm doing this for your own good. You can't trust Noah, you're wasting your time with him."

I clenched my fist. Sure, Noah was mean to me at times. Maybe he wasn't even a real friend- but I got him hurt. This was on me.

"What makes you think you're helping me?" I growled at Hannya. My pathetic attempt at intimidation completely backfired. She started blushing and covering her face with her hands while grinning even wider. "So cute!"

She stood up and circled behind me. I tried craning my head to see what she was doing but my neck could only go so far. "Hey what are you do-?" I began shouting as she cut me off and started hugging me from behind. Hannya sighed into my ear and her hands started crawling around my neck.

My heart started beating faster as I sweat more. I tried knocking myself off my chair but I didn't budge. "Hey get off me!"

"Noah thought you were a joke- he told his Real friends about how much of a fool you were. Doesn't that make you angry? I hate it so much." She said it in such a cute and floaty way that one would have thought she was talking about something much more lighter if they didn't listen to her words.

Her voice became more icy and mad. "He's lucky I didn't kill him. I coerced the school nurse to tell me his allergies. Who knew a few ground up peanuts in his sandwhich could take him out like that. Pathetic. His parents should have raised him better. That's their warning. Next time he comes near you, I'll add much more peanuts. I don't want him to get to immune to them." She breathes harder on my ear.

"Stop it stop it stop it!" I yelled, she seemed taken aback by it. "You're crazy! Yo-you almost kill two people- why? Because they talked shit about me or embarrassed me? You don't love me! You're just obsessed. If I ran away you'd just kill me and find another person to ruin their life!"

She walked in front me and resumed her cross-legged sit. "You're wrong Caleb." She frowned. "I could never hurt you. Love and obsession go hand in hand." She started taking off her shoes and long socks. "Just like love... and sex."

I started trying to get out of the chair even faster. Shit what do I do? Aha. I slipped the cloth from between my wrists, it had helped loosen the rope. I easily got my hands out of the ropes after that and held them behind me. Now how do I get my legs out? Wait- wasn't I about to lose my virginity? Should I really be running? Hell yeah you should you pubescent moron! She's crazy! Don't stick your dick in crazy!

Hannya was still in her sweater and skirt which I found a bit strange. I thought she would change faster. "I-I'll change in the bathroom it's embarrassing to change in front of you." Hannya blushed hard, her legs seemed to shake. Great! While she's in there I can sneak out. I stayed silent as she skipped to the bathroom a few rooms down.

I quickly untied my legs and grabbed my back pack, shoving clothes from my luggage bag into it. I sneaked downstairs, careful to not make noise on the steps. I bolted out, running down my street. I really had no idea where I was running to. I just had to get out. Eventually I got too tired, I was already exhausted from my run to Noah's house this morning. The local hospital was close by so I decided to visit him. I wanted to explain everything that happened.

When I got there I went to approach the front desk but I stopped when I saw three teens I recognised from school sitting in chairs. Huh, those were some of Noah's friends. I walked up to them to ask how he was doing. They traded confused and scornful glances at each other. One of them finally spoke up.

"Oh you're that kid Noah tells us about right? Caden or something."

"Caleb." I corrected him.

"Yeah yeah, Caleb." One of the two behind him snickered. "Why does it matter how Noah's doing? He only lets friends and family in. All he does it make fun of you to us. It's really funny too."

"Uhuh." I simply nodded, as I passed through the sliding doors out of the hospital. I wasn't too surprised about it. I guess I just used Noah to ramble about my problems to and he just used me to tell pathetic stories to his friends. It still hurt a bit. It felt like I had been going through the motions of life without really living. Getting average marks in school and never succeeding, having no real friends, parents too busy thinking of my brother to even bother with me. Ugh. Maybe Hannya was right? I could still go back, I thought. No. She's still crazy, being alone is better than being with a crazy person who will poison your life right? But do I have any other place to go? I trugged my way back home, defeated. I don't have much more to lose, don't I?

I creeped open my door to find Hannya, laying under the covers of my bed. She looked embarrassed as she tried covering her bare shoulders while also keeping her head up.

"I knew you would come back Caleb." She brushed her black hair out of her face and smiled. Was I doing the right thing? Probably not. It didn't really matter to me anymore. I could worry about that stuff later.

"I just want to ask you a few things." I sat in the chair I had once been tied in. "First, how did you know about Noah doing those things?"

"Simple, I heard him in the hallways. I think we share a class together, though I never talk to him. It took me all I could to not kill him there. I'm smart though, so i try not to get caught. Aren't I a good girl! Now will you please join me in bed Cal-"

"Second," I ignored her comment at the end. "What makes you think killing or hurting others who do bad things to me- is appropriate?"

"They are obstacles in your life. I just removed them. All you need is me."

"Uhuh," I thought for a bit what to ask. "Why do you like me?" Unbeknownst to me, i had been inadvertently staring at her chest area even though it was covered by my blanket. I need to wash that later, I thought while suppressing a blush.

Hannya smiled and sat up, draping the blanket over her chest and back. "You're heroic, cute, awkward, even when someone messes with you, you want to show them mercy."

She stood up from my bed, covered in the blanket. She started approaching me. I was about to get up but I felt kinda frozen. She didn't do anything, but bend forward and kiss my on the forehead. Her warm lips on my skin, it felt weird. My face lit up, what was that? Hannya is a lunatic and you're getting red faced from a kiss on the forehead? It didn't really matter anymore did it, I felt more welcomed here than at the hospital.

Hannya smiled at me, her face just as red as mine. "I'll wait till we're both ready." She made her way to the bathroom to get changed.

After she was done changing she sat on my bed and crossed her legs. "I want to be your girlfriend, I won't take no for an answer." She spoke softly.

I didn't really see a way out of this, At this moment I realised something. She was crazy but she wouldn't hurt me on purpose. I wasn't in any real danger and I could maybe keep her in check. It was a better idea than letting her roam around freely.

"I have one request." I looked into her brown eyes.

"Yes?"

"I don't want a girlfriend that hurts people. I want you to promise you won't do that."

Hannya looked really uncomfortable when I said that, I felt a bit sorry, but it was necessary. "Al-Alright. That's a promise."

"Then the deal is do- Uff!"

Hannya seemed to tackle me mid sentence, just hugging me. She wouldn't let go either. This will be an interesting weekend... and an even more interesting break in a week's time.
