Part 13: Alexander's Visit

Alison

As Alison got up to answer the door someone just kept banging, over and over.

"Alright, alright I'm coming no need to break my door down."

As she opened the door she was engulfed in a bear hug, "Can't breathe"

"Sorry little sis I just couldn't help myself," He released her and flashed her a sheepish smile.

As she took a step back she couldn't help but smile, her 20 year old brother, Alexander Walker, though he may look intimidating has always been a kid at heart.

"I noticed, so how come you are here? I thought I wasn't going to see you until thanksgiving?"

"Well I am on a break from school to help out dad with the company but on my way home Dad sent me a little video of my favorite bird singing," he smiled, "so naturally I had to stop by to congratulate you."

Alison sighed and facepalmed, "Not you too."

"Yes me too, Ali you have to know that this is a huge step for you."

"Is it really? Hell, it wasn't intentional I didn't know the class followed me. If I had known I probably wouldn't have been able to sing."

"True but this proves that you can."

Alison facepalmed again, "No it does not!"

"Anyways so who is this boy I heard rushed to your aid and carried you to the nurse's office?"

"Ughhhh come on!!"

"Ali I am serious."

"Fine, he is a transfer student that just started here."

"And...."

"His name is Dean Ozeata."

"And..."

"And what else?"

"And do you like him? Does he like you?"

"What of course not. You of all people know I like being alone and there is nothing for him to like after all nothing has changed."

"If you say so..."

"What now?"

"How are you planning on inviting him for dinner Friday if nothing has changed?"

"I wasn't planning too, I was just going to tell dad that he was busy."

"Nope you can't or I will tell dad the truth."

"Ughhh come on Alex really?"

"Yes, really I want to meet the kid too."

"You act as if you're so much older," Alison rolled her eyes."

"Whatever you better invite him."

"Fine, fine. Now do you have to go leave now or can you stay the rest of the afternoon with me?"

"If you will have me then I can stay."

"Good now come on you need to try the new Halloween specials at Ms. Johnson's"

"Okay then let's go."

With that, they went to the café across campus to eat.

Dean

After playing his PS4 for 2 hrs he decided to go to the café and get something to eat before his afternoon class. As he entered the café he was hit with shock because Alison was there with a guy laughing at something he had said.

Trying to shake off his initial shock he walked up to the counter and found the kind lady who enlightened him with knowledge of Alison.

"Good Afternoon, so what happened to Alison ignoring everyone around her?"

"Calm down there tiger, no need to get jealous. I told you before the only people she talks to are her dad, brother, and best friend. That's her older brother."

"Oh, well, I wasn't jealous. Merely curious that's all."

"Sure keep telling yourself that kid. Anywho as thank you for rushing to Alison's side you get lunch on the house."

"I just did what anyone would do, no need to do that."

"The point is you were the first to help her don't fight it now what do you want?"

"What do you recommend?"

"The baguettes and paninis are amazing if I do say so myself."

"Okay, then I will have a Baguette of your choosing and a soda please."

"Sure thing just sit at a table and I'll take your food when it's ready."

Dean then turned around and contemplated on where he should sit, the table he sat at the last time Alison was in was available but there was a table closer to her and her brother that was also available. As he decided to sit at the table further away from Alison a couple beat him to it so the choice was made for him.

As he walked towards the table near Alison he heard a fit of giggles and quickly looked towards the source of the sound, only to find Alison blushing and giggling. As he looked at her they ended up making eye contact and Alison immediately stopped giggling.

At the sudden pause, her brother looked at her weirdly only to find her looking elsewhere, as he turned to see what she was looking at Dean saw the face of Alison's brother and hoped that he would not have to interact with said brother.

He was fit which anyone could see from his broad shoulders and sculpted jawline, but the frown that was on the guy's face made him seem as if he were able to pummel anyone who dared upset his sister to the ground.

And as Dean was very well aware Alison wasn't a huge fan of his so instead of approaching their table he quickly looked away and rushed to his intended table.

Alexander

Alexander Walker's known to be intimidating and the few people who think otherwise are his little sister, father, and best friend Olivia. Though Alison is gifted musically he was never blessed with such a gift instead his talents were in the business world, which was a good thing considering he was the heir to his father's company. But that didn't stop him from loving the world of music especially when it entailed his sister, he was her biggest fan next to their father.

So when his father sent him the video of Alison he immediately asked if she was okay after seeing her fall to the floor and being picked up by a kid. After his father assured him that Alison was okay he asked if he could take a detour on the way home. Fortunately, his father knew Alex well enough to anticipate such a request and informed him that the nurse excused Alison from the rest of her classes for the day.

As happy as can be Alex took the next turn and started driving towards the Arts Academy, while he was on his way his father also informed him of the dinner he had planned and his intention of inviting the kid who helped Alison. But, Leo knew both his children so well he knew that she would try to get out of inviting the kid. Alex laughed and agreed because he too wanted to thank the kid for helping Alison.

As he pulled into the visitor's parking lot of the school he ended the call and made his way to Alison's dorm room. As he was walking down the hall towards her dorm room he noticed random girls staring at him and as soon as he made eye contact they started blushing till this one girl came up to him and not so discreetly pulled her top down more to expose her cleavage.

"Hello there handsome my name's Tina. What brings you to the Arts Academy girls dormitory?"

"My sister now can you get out of my way please."

"Sure but if you are interested afterward we can hangout."

"Not interested. Try finding someone else."

She scoffed and walked away, leaving him chuckling, after being in college for 2 years he forgot how desperate high school girls can be. After walking for two more minutes he came upon the dorm he was looking for.

Deciding to annoy his sister a bit he started banging on her door and as she opened it to crush her in a bear hug.

After talking they ended up going to Ms. Johnson's cafe and to say he was glad was an understatement, he was overjoyed. Being that he was finally seeing his sister after a couple of weeks and to make things better he was finally going to eat some of Ms. Johnson's delicious cuisine which he didn't usually taste unless it was for important events.

As they entered the much loved cafe he was instantly overwhelmed by the enchanting scents of Ms. Johnson's freshly baked goods and brewed coffee. Smiling he put his arm around Alison's shoulder and led her to the counter where Ms. Johnson stood with a wide smile of her own.

"Well, Alex you certainly took your time to finally come visit."

"You know it wasn't like that college has kept me busy that's all, you know there is nothing I love more than my baby sister and your food," he finished showing his show stopping smile.

"As it should be. Now, what would you guys like to order?"

"Two chicken Paninis, one ham and cheese baguette, and two sodas."

"Will that be all?"

"Yes, thank you so much," he said as he removed his arm from Alison's shoulder and took out his card.

"Okay, why don't you guys take a seat. I will take your food when it's ready."

"Thank you so much," both he and Alison said together.

They then looked at each other and smiled.

Alison then turned around, grabbed her brother's hand, and dragged him to her usual table.

"So tell me Alex is there something wrong with the company? Why are you taking a break to help dad?"

Alexander couldn't help but smile at the fact that she was worried, "Well little sister of mine if you must know I am beginning my training because as soon as I graduate from college I will start working at the company with dad."

"Wait, really! I'm so proud of you Alex!" she couldn't be happier for him, she always knew from when they were young that his dream was to work with their father.

"Yes, now onto another topic."

"Okay so tell me what is college like this year?"

"Nothing much to say, still busy and causing many sleepless nights?"

"And how's Olivia have you finally gotten the courage to ask her out?"

Alex sighed, "I don't know Al, I mean I don't think she likes me that way."

Alison burst out laughing and Alex was offended that she was laughing at his biggest fear.

"Stop laughing it's not funny."

"Of course it is. Hello, haven't you seen the way she looks at you? She is head over heels for you and you don't even know," She sighed.

"I doubt it, she probably still sees me as the lanky teen I was in high school."

"Hello, have you seen yourself in the mirror? Since we walked in here girls have been drooling at you."

"That is sad these girls are desperate."

"Why do you say that?"

"You should have seen this girl that I bumped into while I was walking to your dorm."

"What happened?"

"She immediately pulled her shirt down and was practically begging me to hangout with her," Alex scoffed.

"Did she by chance tell you her name?"

"Tina I think why?"

Alison burst out into a fit of giggles, her face was turning pink and Alex couldn't help but smile. Apart from her voice, his favorite thing about Alison was her laugh, it wasn't something she did very often but when she did it reminded him of his mom because they had the same laugh.

All of a sudden Alison stopped giggling and her face was devoid of any emotion, furious wanting to know what or who could upset her so much he turned around ready to crush the source.

Upon turning around he was met with a face that seemed familiar but he couldn't figure out why. He turned back to Alison as Ms. Johnson made her way over with their food.

"Here you go guys, enjoy!"

"Thank you."

She smiled and walked back to the counter.

He turned back to Alison who was looking at her food.

"Who was that kid?"

"Stop acting like you're so much older Alex you're only three years older than me."

"Don't change the topic, who is he?"

"That is Dean Ozeata."

"The kid that helped you?"

"Yes."

"Well then we have to thank him don't we," Alex smiled at her as he got out of his seat.

"Alex, what are you doing?" Alison hissed.

"Calm down Al I will be right back."

He turned towards where he saw the kid last and scanned the area to see him seated at a table nearby. Alex without a second thought strode over to the table.

"Hello, my name is Alexander Walker. You must be the famous Dean Ozeata who helped my darling little sister."

"Um, yes that would be me."

"Why don't you join us at our table."

"Um, I don't think that would be a good idea."

"And why not?"

"I don't think Alison likes me all that well"

"But I am the one inviting you so you have no reason to decline."

"You won't take no as an answer will you?"

"Nope."

"Alright then."
