I hummed as I combed my hair.
Being in a happy mood, since today is the last day of school, I woke up early without Jason screaming in my ear.
As if I summoned him by thinking about him, my door burst open and there stood Jason with his leg in the air.
"Oh, you're awake." he said, surprised.
He put his leg down, took a few step back and closed the door.
I sighed and looked at my outfit in the mirror.
It was a light cream knitted cropped sweater and a black skirt.
I grab my backpack and practically sprinted down the stairs.
"Someone's eager to go to school. And oh my god, are you wearing a skirt? You have a boyfriend, don't you? No wonder you're so eager to go to school dressed like that." Jason says with a smirk.
"No, I don't. I'm eager to go to school cause it's the last day of school and I can't wait for it to close for Christmas. And I'm dressed nicely because I can. Plus, today's my first day of working at the café."
"You're gonna work at the café?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah, I asked Leila yesterday." I replied as Jason drove away from the house.
"Do you want me to drive you there?"
"Nah. Leila said she'll pick me up."
"So how was your date with my girlfriend yesterday?"
"It was absolutely amazing. I think I convinced her to break up with you and date me instead." I joked.
Jason dramatically gasped and we continue to joke around until we arrived at school.
We met with Heather at the front of the school.
Jason had Biology while Heather and I had History.
Luckily, the teacher wasn't here today so we just talked about stuff, listened music and watched Netflix.
Our binge session was interrupted by mine and Heather's phone going off with messaging.
I check at my phone while Heather checks hers.

I was waiting for Leila when I heard Stupid by Ashnikko playing.
I looked up and, as I expected, there stood Leila in her car waving at me, with shades resting on the bridge of her nose.
I laugh and walk towards her.
"Yo wassup hoe" Leila says as I enter the car and put on my seatbelt.
"Hey, Leila." I say and stretch my palm out towards her.
Knowing what I want, she reaches into the glove compartment of the car, takes out another pair of shades and hands it to me.
She waits until I put it on to drive off.

"Hey, Soph, can you take those guys orders?" Leila asks.
"Yeah, sure."
"Hi, what can I get you today?" I smile as I stand at the table.
There were two guys at the table. One with brown hair and blue eyes.
And the other one with black hair and beautiful black eyes.
Not brown but black.
Black eyes.
I try not to make it obvious that I was staring as I take their orders.
As I finished making the drinks, a couple entered the café.
I looked up and realized that the couple was Heather and Jason.
"Go take their order, I'll carry the drinks." Leila says.
Leila knows that I have a thing for Jason. She absolutely freaked when I told her I like someone.
"Hey, guys." I say as I walk up to them, trying not to be bothered by the fact that they're holding hands.
"Hey, Soph. We figured we'll pay you a visit since it's your first day." Heather says with a smile as she sits at the table, which was right the next to the table the guys were at.
"Oh, what can I get you guys,then?"
As I take their order, I can't help but notice Jason putting his arm around Heather's shoulder.
After giving them their order, I stood behind the counter with Leila.
"So how do you feel? With Jason dating Heather and all." Leila asks as we watch the couple.
"It hurts," I say,truthfully, "but they're happy and I don't want to ruin that. I also don't want to ruin my friendship with Heather,either. I'm just gonna have to suck it up and get over my feelings for him. No matter how much I like him."
I looked at the floor and go to look back at the table but something else caught my eye.
The black haired guy was staring at me.
And our eyes locked together.
