"Spencer. Spencer, wake up." I felt someone shaking my shoulder.
"Hmmmm, five more minutes." I push my head farther into my pillow. I felt my pillow start laughing.
Wait...
Pillows can't laugh!
I shot up out of my seat, but that was a horrible mistake because I hit my head on the roof of the car. I heard more laughter.
"Oh shit," I groan out, rubbing my head.
"Your such an idiot," Jamie says, laughing her ass off.
"Spencer, we're here," Parker tells me and I look out the car window.
This is not a park. This is a whole damn forest.
Everyone was getting out the cars and carrying things into one direction. I get out the car with Chester.
"Where's everyone going," I ask, following the same path.
"There's a campsite up the hill," Parker informs me.
We all make it up the hill and set up tents and everything. By the time we were done setting up, it was dark.
We started up some fires and everyone was vibin'. I was having a good time, until Max came up to me. Again.
"Spence. Look, I won't bother you anymore. I just need to talk to you."
"What is there to talk about? Honestly, what else do you have to say because the only thing your doing is making me hate you."
"Spencer, I'm really sorry. I said some really hateful things and I know you'll probably never forgive me, but I just had to tell you that.... I love you, Spencer."
"Does that work on all the other girls? Is that how you got them to open their legs? You've gotta be kidding me. We were barely in a relationship. We didn't talk. We just drove to school together and held hands. You don't love me, Max. You don't even know me."
I started to walk away, but then Max started talking again.
"Is this because of Chester? We were just fine until the day of the pep rally when you went to his house."
"What?!?! Are you really putting the blame on someone else for something you did? Jeez, your unbelievable."
He was about to say something else, but he got interrupted by Jamie.
"I see Spencer needs an escape and I have come to rescue her," Jamie says out loud, extending her hand to me. I grab it and we walk off.
"Thanks for the save," I tell Jamie, laughing a little.
"No prob. I'll take you to where the fun is happening."
Jamie takes me to where everyone is hanging out. It was this area by a cliff that was over the open water.
There were girls in bathing suits and guys in trunks. Some people were jumping off the cliff, while some of the others were busy doing their own thing.
We walk over to where Chester, Parker, the twins, and Sky were. Daniel and Hope were coming tomorrow because they had a family trip or something.
Now that I've thought about it. I haven't seen Hope at school for a while, but I've seen Daniel. I wasn't complaining, but I hope nothing bad happened to her. I know that we don't exactly like each other, but I don't wish bad on her.
"Hey, Sparrow. Everything okay?" Chester gives me a concerned look, but I just nod my head yes. I was confused about the new nickname, but didn't say anything about it.
"Chester, why do you call Spencer Sparrow," Sky asks, confused.
He's been calling me little sparrow since the beginning of this trip. I just went with it. It kind of grew on me.
"She drew it on my arm when she was high that day Alexandra didn't tell her she gave her a pot brownie."
My eyes shot open in horror at the memory.
"I think little sparrow describes her perfectly. She's small, but packs a lot of attitude," Alexandra says, smiling.
"Guys, stop it. Change the subject. I don't like all this attention." I could feel my cheeks start to heat up.
"Awwwwww, she's blushing again," Sky squeals. That made me blush more.
"Omg, she's getting redder," Alexandra points out. She draws more attention to me. I can feel my face overheating. I put my hands over my face.
"Ok, fine. We'll change the subject. I'm gonna jump off the cliff. You wanna come, Jamie," Parker asks, finally changing the subject.
"My mom prepared me for this day. She asked me if my friends jumped off a cliff, would I do it too and my answer was no and it will remain no," Jamie answers Parker's question.
"It'll be fun!"
"Oh, hell no. I don't jump off cliffs."
"Come on, Jamie. It'll be awesome," Parker says, walking closer towards Jamie.
"No ahhhhhhh," Jamie exaggerates.
"Yes ahhhhhhhh," Parker mimicked her. He was moving even closer to her.
"Parker, you better not." As Parker kept moving closer to her, she started to back up. Parker starts running towards her and Jamie starts to run too.
Jamie keeps running, but Parker catches her and picks her up, running towards the cliff.
"NO, PARKER! PUT ME DOWN!" When they get closer to the cliff, Parker speeds up and jumps off. I can hear Jamie's yelling get farther and farther away.
"She's going to kill him," Alexander says, laughing.
"I'll be back guys. I'm gonna go change," I get up from my seat and go get some clothes to change into. I put on some jean shorts and a black, lacy bralette. I laced up my black sandals to my ankles and left my hair in the two little buns.
Perfect for jumping off cliffs.
When I get back, Jamie is giving a death glare to Parker, dripping wet with water. Parker looks kind of scared now.
He should be.
Jamie seems to calm down and plasters on a smile. Parker can't tell it's fake, but I can.
I see Sky pull out her phone and pretend to be playing a game, but I know she's really recording.
"Babe, it's ok. I'm not mad. I really had fun." Parker seems to be dropping his guard. Jamie goes closer to Parker and wraps her arms around his waist.
"I'm glad your not ma-AAAAAAHHHHHHH!" While Parker was distracted, Jamie grabbed the back of Parker's underwear and yanked it up, giving him a deep wedgie.
She doesn't let go, but pulls up harder, making Parker scream more.
"If you ever EVER think about doing that again, I will wedgie you so hard that you won't be able to sit for a week."
Jamie was a crazy bitch.
Alexander was trying to keep his laugh in, but Jamie heard him.
"You want one too, Alex," Jamie asks, scolding him. Alexander shakes his head no.
"I'm gonna go jump off the cliff now," Alexandra tries to get away, so she can laugh.
"Chester, you wanna jump," I ask him. He was standing with his hands in his shorts.
"No, I'm not jumping, but I'll just sit by the cliff." When he answered, he looked kind of nervous.
Was he scared to jump?!?!
"Oh yeah, Chester's a little scaredy-cat. He never jumps," Sky tells me, laughing.
"Really," I ask with amusement in my voice. I could see Chester starting to blush.
"I'm not scared! I just don't want to."
We walk over to the cliff.
"Can you swim," I ask him and he nods yes.
"You scared of heights?" When I ask him that question, he turns red. I laugh at all the blushing he's been doing. It was cute!
I start to slowly back up from cliff. Chester looks back at me confused. I start running towards him and he figures out what I'm gonna do.
"Spencer, NO," Chester warns me. He had nowhere else to go. I run towards the end of the cliff and he looks terrified.
When I jump off the cliff, I pull Chester down with me. He was screaming in midair. A few seconds later, we hit the water.
It was dark underwater and freezing. I swim back to the surface of the water.
"That was awesome," I scream into the open sky. I look around for Chester, but I can't find him.
An icy chill runs down my back.
"Chester," I call out into the cool air, but I receive no reply.
"CHESTER," I scream again.
"CHESTER, STOP PLAYING! I SWEAR, IF YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY, I WILL MURDER YOU!"
Then I felt something grab my leg.
"AHHH! PLEASE DON'T TAKE NIBBLES OF ME! JUST EAT ME WHOLE! I THINK THAT WILL BE LESS PAINFUL!"
Then Chester popped out of the water, laughing.
"That wasn't funny, Chester," I say, punching his shoulder.
"It really was though." He continues to laugh. I dunk his head back under the water, but that doesn't seem to phase him. Instead, he picks me up and wraps my legs around his waist.
Chester's fingers drew circles on my thighs and it made me hot. My body ignored the cold of the sea and it felt like I was burning.
I started to get nervous with Chester's now dark gray eyes burning through my soul.
"C- come on. Let's go back up before they think I killed you." It was so hard not to stutter. He lets go of me and we make our way out of the water.
Chester and I walk back up the hill. The higher we went, the colder it got. I was literally shaking.
"You ok, Sparrow," Chester asks when we make it back. He probably thought I was having a seizure from all the shaking my body was doing.
"Y-yeah I'm j-just f-f-freezing."
Chester picks up his hooded sweater from beside him and puts it over my head and helps me get my arms through.
"You sure your not cold," I ask him. I wouldn't want to take away his source of warmth, but I also didn't want to give it back.
"No, I'm ok," he tells me smiling, but then seconds later, I see his smile slip away when he catches something in the distance.
