Chapter: Strange.

As soon he yelled Hyun Soo came to her senses and realised that she was still a bit bent down towards him and so, she stood upright and took some steps back.

"So- sorry."

Was all she said bending down a bit, wasn't able to look back at him feeling all ashamed again.

****

"Can I go now?" She said in a calm voice as she saw the sky getting darker.

"Yeah, sure! And also...don't forget to come on time tomorrow." Sang Hyeon replied to her.

"Yes ma'am."

"I'll go now, bye." She bent down and then left.

Do Yun who was cleaning one last table left sighed in relief as soon as Hyun Soo left the cafe,

"What happened? Is something wrong?" Sang Hyeon asked hanging her handbag on her shoulder.

Do Yun looked at Sang Hyeon pouting his lips,

"No, just...she is a bit irritating." His brows got knitted as he recalled the whole day. He took a deep breath to calm his frustration.

Sang Hyeon laughed and Do Yun looked at her with helpless eyes,

"Don't worry, you'll get adjusted in some days." She patted his back as he nodded looking down and she went out of the cafe.

But as soon as she left Do Yun recalled what she said and he looked up with widened eyes,

"Wait...what?! I'll get adjusted? I?!" he yelled and his voice echoed. On the other hand, Sang Hyeon heard Do Yun's words and it made her chuckle again.

Hyun Soo was on her way to the main road when Young Hee called her,

"Hello?" Hyun Soo said in a low voice.

"Hyun Soo! Where are you since yesterday?" Young Hee said as soon as she heard Hyun Soo's voice.

"Just roaming around, finding a job." Hyun continued to say in the same way,

"What happened? Is anything wrong, why do you sound so tired?" Young Hee asked out of concern.

"I was doing part-time in the cafe since morning. It was a bit tiring as it was my first day."

"Oh, wow! That's nice. Now you can at least support yourself financially." Young Hee said and Hyun Soo replied, "Hmm.."

"By the way, what about yesterday?"

"Where did you vanish all of a sudden? Everyone was asking about you?"

"Ah! Last night..." Hyun said and then she got lost in her thoughts.

"Hyun Soo! Hyun Soo?! Are you still on the line?"

"Why aren't you answering me?" Young Hee kept speaking as she didn't receive any answer.

"Hyun Soo? Is everything alright?" Feeling worried Young Hee approached Hyun Soo through the phone again.

"Hmm? Oh! Yeah, Young Hee. Sorry I ended up thinking something."

"Ooff, you freaked me out." Young Hee said.

"Well then, tell me what happened yesterday?" She continued.

"I-I'll call you back, I have to go somewhere." And she ended the phone call abruptly.

Hyun Soo took a u-turn and started walking towards the narrow lobby from where she had rescued her sister yesterday.

"I was standing here."

She took a deep and walked towards the corner,

"Eun Soo was standing here...in this corner. And that guy....that guy was approaching her. That guy... Who was he?" She started thinking.

"Oh ho! I wish I had seen his face even for once, clearly." She said and her voice echoed.

She stood there, thinking deeply about yesterday's incident but there was nothing she could relate,

"I rescued her and then she went to take the handbag from that man, then- then what resulted in Eun Soo to behave in such a way like she can't remember what happened earlier?"

"Tch! Something is strange." She whispered to herself. While almost biting her thumbnail due to anxiety she was continuously looking in the corner in which Eun Soo stood, yesterday.

"What are you doing here?" A deep voice filled the light silence.

Hyun Soo got startled and she turned around,

"Ah! Mr Do Yun!" "You-you're still in the cafe?" She continued just to act casual.

Do Yun was standing on the threshold of his room wearing a casual dark blue t-shirt and a pair of white pants with two black linings on both sides of it rather than his cafe uniform.

"This is something I should ask." He said and raised one eyebrow.

On his blank face, this was the first time she had seen an expression and this made her think if he was irritated because of her

"Umm, Ahem!" She cleared her throat and smiled awkwardly.

"I-'ll get going, sorry for disturbing you."

Hyun Soo said and bowed down a bit and then rushed out of there. She looked back a bit but there was no one standing there.

"What was he still doing in the cafe?" She said still looking back when she bumped into someone.

She quickly turned around and bowed down apologize.

"I'm sorry!" She said,

"It's okay...It's okay." The person replied and patted her back.

"But tell me what are still doing here?" The person continued further.

Hyun Soo quickly recognised the voice and so, she stood up to find Sang Hyeon.

"Ma'am?!" She exclaimed.

"You didn't go home?" Sang Hyeon asked.

"I- actually, jus-just taking look of surroundings." Hyun Soo gave out a smile just to make things settle.

"But...aren't you going home, ma'am?" She asked further.

"I was but then I saw you coming here so...I came back here."

"Would you like to come along, I'll drop you?" Sang Hyeon offered Hyun Soo.

"Ha?" Hyun Soo's eyes got widened up at this sudden thought.

"To-together?" She confirmed.

"Hmm..." Sang Hyeon replied.

"Together. Why? You don't like it?" She asked Hyun Soo.

"N-no."

"Then come, I'll drop you. It's a bit late already." Sang Hyeon said and held Hyun Soo's wrist and took her along with her.

"I-I just I-I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable." Hyun Soo said while trying to match the pace with Sang Hyeon.

"Oh who said I'm uncomfortable, it's you who seems so." Sang Hyeon quickly replied.

Hyun Soo laughed awkwardly at her reply and said,

"No, just it's my first time meeting you so...I don't want to give you any trouble."

"Oh, you're no trouble to me. I know you well so don't worry, I'm comfortable with you." Sang Hyeon said.

"H-how?" Hyun Soo asked and looked at her with furrowed brows.

"Get in the car." Sang Hyeon told Hyun Soo and she sat on the driving seat ignoring Hyun Soo's question. Hyun Soo nodded and sat beside Sang Hyeon in the car.

There's dead silence in the car at present. Hyun Soo is looking outside the window thinking about her sister and her new job. She wants to be happy about her first job but she ended feeling unfortunate about her life. Seeing at the street lights she sighed and whispered,

"Just like time..."

"So where's your house?" Suddenly Sang Hyeon raised a question which made Hyun Soo come put of her thoughts.

"Huh?"

"I mean where should I drop you?" Sang Hyeon asked again.

There was a calm smile on Sang Hyeon's face while her eyes were looking at the road continuously with full concentration.

"Umm...I liv-" Suddenly Sang Hyeon's phone rung.

"Hold on." She said to Hyun Soo and attended the phone call through her Bluetooth earpiece.

"Yes, Mr Yun." She said with the same smile.

Suddenly after a second of being at the call Sang Hyeon's brows got furrowed and she looked at bit tensed. While Hyun Soo was looking at Sang Hyeon suddenly the car stopped.

"Hyun Soo let's stop here. Get out of the car." Sang Hyeon said as she unbuckled her seatbelt.

Hyun Soo being confused nodded and unbuckled her seat belt to get out of the car. They were standing outside a bungalow now. Hyun Soo looked at the bungalow as her eyes shined by the reflection of the uncountable lights lighting it. Suddenly a man approached them,

"Ms Yoon, I wanted to te-" But he stooped as he saw Hyun Soo standing beside Sang Hyeon. Sang Hyeon looked at Hyun Soo who stood there innocently.

"Hyun Soo I'm sorry for today but...my driver will drop you to your house." Sang Hyeon said and walked inside the bungalow.

"No ma'am it's alright I'll...go...my..self." Gradually Hyun Soo lowered her voice as she saw Sang Hyeon walking away from her without even listening to her

She looked at how Sang Hyeon and that man walk hurriedly into the bungalow and whispered,

"Strange..."
