Chapter: Finding The Princess

"Find her!" Evangeline ordered the officials of the kingdom Ugrania

Ugrania is a small kingdom located inside the kingdom Montiara. The late king and queen used to be the best friends with the king and queen of Ugrania. The friendship of them was considered as deep as the depth of the ocean and their trust was too strong to break. The death of the late king Kang Chung-hee and the late queen Kang Bo-a and the news of the crown prince missing made Ugranian king and queen shed tears for months.

Ugranian princess, on the other hand, also had a hard time of her childhood when she heard his uncle and aunt died. For her, they were the mightiest of all while the missing news of the prince made her heartthrob. She had never thought that the kingdom Montiara will have to suffer a huge loss like this all of a sudden.

Here the official in charge of Ugranian administration was desperate to know the reason.

"But ma'am-"

"No questions, Jung Hoon! It's important, do it as fast as possible."

The official was bound and had to follow her orders without adding any more ifs or buts.

After a while, the results came...

"Madam the princess has left her ring in the woods and so, weren't able to track her further." He explained

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, Madam Evangeline. We checked twice." He added.

Evangeline thought for a second and nodded slightly. She stood up from the chair in which she had been sitting all this time waiting for the results to come and went outside. Not sure what to do she went to the king and the queen of Ugrania.

****

In the quiet chamber in which the king laid on the bed taking rest while the queen looked outside the wide umber painted wooden window. The wind which blew made the long floor-touching, baby pink sheer curtain dance along with it. The queen stood there looking at the apple trees which were decorated with the apples that had ripened by now.

Her blonde hair was tied loosely into a bun which made some flicks to escape from the pin which had held it all together. Her slightly rolled flicks blew here and there along with the wind.

She was wearing a white full sleeves gown which fitted her upper body nicely while laid down recklessly below the waist on the ground. It had a long cloth attached to its end on the back. the end of her sleeves and round neck of the gown has some blue diamonds embedded on it adding a bluish effect on the gown making it look more elegant.

Her blue eyes just like the diamonds on her dress searching for the happiness quietly outside the window which she had lost twenty years ago.

In that quiet climate suddenly someone opened the huge golden doors of the chamber making a noisy sound.

"My queen, Madam Evangeline is here to meet you and the king!" The guard said as soon as after he bowed and greeted the queen.

Queen looked at him and a smile escaped her cherry red lips

"Ask her to come in."

She said in a sweet and low voice.

The guard nodded and went outside after bowing again.

"Agartha!" She said as she went inside the chamber.

"Evangeline!" The queen said.

They both hugged each other as the queen's eyes went a bit wet. She had missed her sister a lot all these times.

"It's been a long time since we last met. How come you're so busy Evangeline."

Queen Agartha asked Evangeline and took her to the sofa near the wall just beside the window.

"I missed you too, Agartha. How have you been?" Evangeline's bold voice echoed in the chamber.

"After seeing you all well...I'm feeling all good."

Agartha said as she held her sister's hands in hers. Evangeline gave a sweet smile to her and her eyes felt on the king lying on the bed.

"How's the king doing?" She asked.

Agartha looked at him and her eyes went sad.

"He slept just some couple of minutes ago. After that incident, he has never been able to sleep properly. His depression and stress make me wish for this all to get alright and pray to bring the prosperity of Montiara back." She replied in her low voice.

Evangeline patted her back lightly and assured her,

"Everything will be fine, I have that hope now. So don't worry too much." She said as she now knows that the mother queen is alive.

Agartha slightly nodded and looked back at Evangeline.

"How have you been all this time?" She asked.

"After the willow wand went missing again, everything is in chaos. The last council meeting was quite hard to handle but still, I managed. I don't have any idea what to do to keep the opposition's mouth shut." Evangeline replied.

Agartha sighed deeply and said,

"I can't see an end for all these misfortunes."

Evangeline nodded slightly,

"But it has to end soon, cause if there's darkness and you keep walking then you'll surely be able to catch a beautiful firefly which will lead you towards the brightness. And I'm sure...that the firefly is surely somewhere around us."

Again the silence took over and both the Queen and Evangeline looked into the void thinking deeply.

Evangeline, after a minute, looked back at Agartha and said,

"Where's the princess by the way?"

"Oh, she?!" Agartha held her forehead.

"Why what happened?"

"You know that she went to follow Han Gyeol though I tried to stop her." And Evangeline nodded.

"Since then...there's no news from her side."

Evangeline nodded and said further.

"Is there any way you can find her or make anyone send a message to her? Actually...I have to talk to her it's important."

"I see..." Agartha looked down.

"Maybe there's one way..." And Evangeline smiled with hope.

"She has lately been practising telepathy as you know she loved it since her childhood and wanted to do it herself."

"So if she has been successful in it then I can find her."

Evangeline was on the ninth cloud. She was quite delightful that anyhow she was able to help her queen.

"That's fantastic news. I know telepathy too as I used it in the war days. So let me handle it from here."

Agartha nodded and they both stood up. Evangeline hugged her and she hugged her back, patting slightly.

"I'll take my leave now."

Evangeline said as they parted away. Agartha nodded and Evangeline made her way towards the door. But before she could open it Agartha said,

"Evangeline!"

And she turned towards Agartha,

"If you get to talk to her then please tell her that her mother is quite mad at her and if she doesn't come home as soon as possible then I'll never talk to her."

Agartha's cute angry face made Evangeline chuckle slightly she nodded and replied,

"Noted! Take care of yourself and the king."

And she left the chamber...
