Chapter: Since When?

"Who told you?!" Do Yun went furious.

"See I know it hurts, I- I mean I've never been in a relationship but...I understand that it hurts. Breaking up with someone whom you loved all this time could be quite-"

He was frustrated by Hyun Soo's behaviour again and he yelled,

"I am asking who told you?!..."

****

Everyone can see Do Yun is walking alone to the cafe keeping his hands in the pockets of his trousers being all silent, but oh! wait. Someone is peeking from behind him. It's Hyun Soo, she has been quiet all along too cause she is scared of him but at the same time, she is chuckling a bit in between. From what Do Yun told her in the cafe it seems that he really doesn't remember what he told Hyun Soo last night in the cafe or on the phone call.

"Would you like to kn-"

"Will you please Shut up!"

And Hyun Soo bit her lips while a smile formed on her lips. She is loving it now that she can tease Do Yun.

Fifteen minutes ago in the restaurant...

"It was you who was behav-"

"I told you?!" Do Yun was confused about why would he tell Hyun Soo gibberish. Why would he tell her something which doesn't even exist?

Hyun Soo for the first time understood Do Yun's facial expression and so she made an instant prank plan.

"Ye-yeah, it was you who told me about your break up." She replied.

"Why would I?" He scratched his head lightly.

To Hyun Soo, Do Yun looked extremely cute, she had never seen confused and dumbfounded Do Yun. It was a wonderful feeling for her to know this unusual side of him.

So to tease him more she added further,

"Would you like to know more about what you told me yesterday?"

While she asked this she leaned a bit further on the table looking at him with widen eyes sparkling mischievously.

"Pardon?!" He exclaimed while panicking.

"Hm?" Hyun Soo raised her eyebrows still looking at him with the same expressions.

"N-no, I'll go now." He said and stood up to go.

"Hey! Mr Do Yun! Mr Park Do Yu Wait!"

"Let's go together!" She yelled again.

"Mr Do Yun!"

The more she yelled the more faster Do Yun started to walk making Hyun Soo laugh within herself.

Now they had reached the cafe, Hyun Soo still wasn't able to get over it. She was loving it the way it was going.

"Welcome, sir." Hyun Soo bowed down to the greet the male customer who had just now arrived with a female companion.

"What would you like to have honey?" He asked the lady standing beside him.

"What is best here?"

"Umm, wait a minute. I am a bit new here so he'll tell you."

She called out Do Yun and told him to make the customer aware of what the cafe make memories was famous for.

"Yes, lemme tell you." He said and stood beside her.

He looked a bit serious and cute at the same time. This was the second Hyun Soo was noticing him, his hair was perfectly combed as usual and he looked like a perfect gentleman. She kept looking at him with a slight smile plastered on her face.

Though Hyun Soo had always been friends with many boys of her college and even school. But all those time she had only one crush and that was her senior. She was a good friend of him but she never got to confess her feelings for him.

She had never thought that after that one crush she'll ever like anyone. But now that she sees Do Yun She feels different, since the day she has met him she has this feeling which told her that this man standing in front of her is someone who has been hiding so much pain inside him. Besides the pain, he also has a side which she feels he has never shown to anyone. And since that day she wants to uncover that side of Do Yun anyhow.

But since when she got this much curious? Since when she started to think about anyone else rather than her first crush?

Thinking all this she again forgot that she was staring at Do Yun. Her all daydreams left her mind when someone said,

"Do I look so handsome to you?"

"Yes?" Hyun Soo questioned as she came out of her dreams.

"Yes?" Do Yun considered it as her answer.

"I've never seen anyone who was this honest. I mean so many females come here they never confessed to me like that." He said with a blank expression.

"N-no that-"

"Leave it, you don't need to cover it. I'll go and serve now."

Leaving Hyun Soo dumbfounded who had been teasing him all the afternoon made Do Yun smile. Now that he was the winner he loved it, now that Hyun Soo was being teased he loved it.

On his way to the table of his customer, he suddenly realised that he was smiling without any reason. And as soon as he realised that, his smile faded away and his brows got knitted in between.

"What is this?" He questioned himself.

"Strange!"

He was baffled about since when he got the urge to win over something so stupid. Since when he started to smile over something so silly. Since when he got changed so much. Since when?

He kept the servings on the table of the customers and went towards his room. The curiosity to listen to the phone call recordings from yesternight was still there in him. He took out his phone, plugged in the earphone and played one of the three recordings

"Hello? Mr Do Yun?"

"Ms Hyun Soo?" Do Yun responded to Hyun Soo in the voice of a wasted man.

"Are you okay? Is there something you need?"

"Yes." He replied again.

"What is it?" She asked politely.

Do Yun wanted to listen to it but the same time didn't want to. He was too embarrassed and curious. Not knowing what he said to her he kept listening.

"Why...did you helped me out?" He finally spoke up.

"Ms Hyun Soo helped me out? What does that mean?" He whispered to himself while listening to the recording.

"Why didn't you just let me go and die?"

"Why didn't you jus-"

"Because I understand." Hyun Soo interrupted him in between. Her voice was calm and sweet.

"Because I... know how- how it feels when you have guilt that-that you weren't able to protect someone."

Gradually her voice started to sound more like of quivering. She was on the verge of crying.

"That guilt makes a human a living dead. A living body inside which the soul is dead."

"I know how that guilt hurts like. But you know one thing, Mr Do Yun?" She asked as she sniffed.

"Hm?" He replied.

"Guilt is like a parasite, it keeps eating his host and makes it dead from the inside. I don't feel like you should be one of those who should be left for dying from inside because of that parasite called guilt."

"Why?" He questioned in half-asleep voice.

"Cause to me you seem a person who is worthy of living. If you had to die then you could've had died in the car accident in your childhood. If God has given you another chance to live, then it indicates that there is a way more beautiful fate waiting for you."

Hyun Soo's words made Do Yun wonder about since when did she come to know this much about him. A small smile made his lips curve tho he didn't know since when he started to listen to someone counselling him even if he was drunk...
