Dennis & Claire vs The Imperial Unit

Dennis decided it was time for this game to come to an end, so he went to Voidus Castle to save Dj and finish Farion. As he was walking towards the castle, he saw the door to the Dream world was still open, Dennis looked at the inside and noticed that a bright magenta light was coming out.

"Well, great! Now we have a dream leaking out." Dennis said.

But he noticed Claire was coming out of the door with a sniper rifle in hand. Claire waved her gun at Dennis as she approaches with a supply bag.

"You know, I still can't believe that your weapon was a sniper, even do I don't recall how u got it..." Dennis said.

"Says the guy that I'm technically married too... Remind me to redo our wedding before this year ends." Claire said.

Dennis was prepared to arrange his wedding for this year, but he had something to do first before that could happen.

"Now where is that darn cat of a brother...?" Dennis was worried for Nezaron, the gatekeeper of the dream world, since he wasn't taking care of the gate right now.

"Hey Dennis, have you seen Dj? I need to tell him something important..." Claire said.

Dennis pointed over the castle that was still raising.

"His in there, is it something bad?" Dennis asked.

"Well... lets say that I found his wife on our way here..." Claire said, Dennis facial expression changed into fear, he knew the person who Claire was talking about.

"We need to rescue Dj before my butt gets owned..."

They quickly headed towards the castle. As they approach, they were hearing a march heading to their direction. They stopped their movement and waited for the moment of battle.

"That doesn't sound welcoming..."

Dennis said as the sounds of a group marching to them was enough for them to be ready for a fight.

"Don't worry, I got you covered." Claire said.

Dennis and Claire got into position, prepared to fight to continue until they saw over a hundred robots fly into the castle. They look into each other's eyes and prepared for the worst.

"We need to storm the castle..."

Claire said while she was stretching and saw Dennis again with worry for him that his going to end up hurt, but he gave a smile. Dennis smiled as he was happy, but at the same time, his eyes seemed like he could almost snap at any moment that even if something touches him.

"Claire... would you be always by my side even if things go too hellish?" Dennis asked.

"Hellish? I remember that when things go hellish, we will be always together..." Claire said.

"I'm glad to hear it..."

Dennis grabbed Claire and lifted her up into his arms. Dennis already had a plan on how to make it to the castle

"You should better hold on tight, the travel method that I'm about to use ain't recommended..."

Dennis left eye started glowing after a crystallized form of Obliviona showed up. Dennis got on to the sword and was having a hard time to control it as they headed to the castle. "

Hmm... something ain't right..."Dennis said.

Dennis felt uneasy with the current silence. They know that their enemies nearby but they are out of sight. As Claire heed Dennis's words, she was looking around for a target, but she didn't see nothing.

"Dennis, lets land for a bit and think of a plan... theirs something that is bugging me after we passed that collapsed building..." Claire said as she pointed out the building.

Dennis looked at the building that Claire was talking about, he patiently stared at while Claire was trying to think.

Dennis ears tweaked after he picked up a sound, but his instinct told him to protect Claire so he pushed her down.

"What the hell?! Dennis, what do you think you are- "

Claire couldn't finish her last sentence after seeing Dennis being pierced on his left arm. Dennis felt that something was draining his blood, so he used his other hand to use the sword and cut down what pierced his arm.

"A Vamp bot..."

Dennis identified the enemy as he was trying to stop his arm from bleeding. Claire took out her weapon and neutralized the enemy and got on the sword.

"You okay?" Claire asked Dennis since she saw him having a hard time with his arm.

"Its alright... The bleeding should be over in about a few minu-"

Dennis collapsed while maintaining course to Voidus Castle. Claire tried to wake him up by slowly shaking him, but he did not respond. She flipped him over to see his injury has been sealed, but something else was going on.

"Wait... vamp bots have a paralyzing poison in their needles... this should cure it..."

Claire grabbed a pill from her front pocket and forced Dennis to take it.

"Thanks..." Dennis woke up to thank Claire for her help and sat down for a while since it's going to take time.

"Hey Dennis... do you think he is still alive?" Claire asked.

"You mean doctor Maxwell? Well, I haven't told this to anyone, but he had a clone doing his work. After the entire Battalion was over, he made sure the clone destroyed everything while sending a copy of the research to this world." Dennis said, he remembers something from his past even though in his voice could be heard as regret.

"Wait, how come you know all about this?" Claire asked.

She wanted to know more since she as well doesn't remember the past.

"I may have screwed our last mission in the past, I knew something weird was going on so I left a note that described on how to split the time line into three parts, F joined our fight after visiting my 15-year-old me that got stuck in the past." Dennis said as a response to Claire's questions.

"That makes no sense... then what's the point of fighting if you made a paradox?!" Claire was panicking while Dennis was laughing. Dennis knew very well why, and it was for the only reason it must be done.

"To take down Ragnarok and erase the nightmares that are waking up..." After Dennis said that, the sword stopped halfway and couldn't proceed any further.

"Guess we reached our destination." Claire jumped off to make sure the area was safe for them to land.

Dennis jumped a head and swung the giant sword in front of them.

"We found you at last! Dennis!!" "Huh? I almost didn't recognize the Imperial army captain." Dennis said.

Claire walked by Dennis and whispered something into his ear that made him do the first move. He jumped from the giant sword's hilt and crushed the ground, taking at least 30 units down.

"Claire!! Keep the captain distracted!!"

"Just leave it to me!!"

Claire got into position to take aim to search for the captain while Dennis was going on a rampage on the battlefield.

"Take this!!" Dennis dashed in with a tornado slash, leaving an open circle around him after a gust pushed away his enemy's. He felt confident on fighting but remembered that he doesn't have that much stamina.

"One move and I already got tired... I can't believe how out of shape I am..." Dennis said that inside his mind and focused on something that his trying to remember.

Dennis's body was being surrounded by a black wind as he raised his left arm to the sky and quickly lowered to touch the ground as a grey light shined above them all.

"Sword fall!"

Dennis said out loud as his left eye glowed, a massive rain of swords fallen down on their enemy, leaving behind the captain with no means to defend himself. Dennis grabbed his sword as Claire catches up to Dennis's position and pulled out a gun.

"Something about you is making me remember our past life but at the same time I want to end you for some reason..."

Claire stand on top of the captain and pointed the gun his head, as she loaded her gun and put it up close to his forehead.

"I didn't expect you to have in ya Claire, but he sold us out and gave the enemy information about us in one of our operations." Dennis said as he was trying to look the other way.

"That's a better reason for me to kill him."

Claire pulled the trigger without letting the captain say a word. As they continued their way to the castle, they heard an intense roar coming from behind.

"Wait... that sound..." Claire said as it confused her.

"Run!!" Dennis and Claire started running towards voidus castle after hearing a sudden roar approaching them from the back. Dennis tried to look back, but he couldn't see nothing after the ground trembled.

"Damn it.... Claire hold on!"

Claire got a hold of Dennis's hand as he was getting ready to make his move.

"Come out my bike!" A motorcycle was raising from the ground as Dennis and Claire got on and blasted full throttle to the gates.

Dennis wasn't able to control the speed after he turned around.

"We going to crash!" Claire yelled.

"Not happening!" Dennis pressed a button that triggered a rocket to fire at the door, leaving an opening to pass through.

"This place looks way to gray." Claire reacted for the coloring from the inside.

"This place is connected to the void, its weird that it shows itself in the dream world right now." Dennis stopped and parked his vehicle halfway to the other door.

"Hey Dennis? We should probably rest here before we continue." Dennis looked at Claire with a thoughtful face.

The meaning of rest didn't cross his mind after making it this far.

"Fine, but only for an hour. We don't know what else could happen while were here."

As Dennis sat down beside Claire, they waited for their energy to recover for a big fight last fight.
